Amy looked at Yan Wushuang, but Wushuang had no impression of that name in her mind. She helplessly shook her head at Amy and explained to the excited girl in front of her, "I'm sorry, miss, but I really don't know the Long Ze you mentioned. Perhaps I knew him before, but after a serious illness, I can't remember anything. I'm very sorry!"
After glancing at the dress she was wearing, which was already tidy, she smiled apologetically at Misa and prepared to leave. However, before she could finish her sentence, Misa wouldn't let her just walk away. She stepped forward to try to grab her, but was lightly blocked by Amy behind Wushuang.
"You..." The woman in front of her blocked her path and shot her a warning glance. Misa's first reaction was to conclude that this woman was not simple; she must be a spy arranged by that bastard to monitor Wushuang. If that were the case, then Wushuang saying she didn't know him was likely a deliberate statement made in front of her.
After Yan Wushuang left the women's restroom, Amy followed her out. All the way, she was thinking about that girl, but as soon as they returned to the hall, the existing atmosphere pulled her back to reality, temporarily pushing aside thoughts of the girl.
"Lefas..." A crisp voice interrupted the conversation among several men as Yan Wushuang lifted her skirt and slowly walked back to his side.
Shouya hadn't expected them to return so quickly and shot Amy a questioning look. Hadn't he told her to delay a bit longer?
Amy helplessly returned to Shouya's side. Who knew that woman would appear? There wasn't much they could discuss in the restroom; if they continued talking, it might lead to trouble, so they had no choice but to leave.
When Yan Wushuang returned to Rafas's side, she also noticed Yamamoto Ryuichi's presence. Oh my, this man looked just like the one in the sketch she had drawn that day—except for one difference: he appeared to be a very gentlemanly modern man, while the one she drew was a handsome ancient warrior!
"Shuang'er, how have you been? Has that bastard bullied you? Has he done anything to you?" Long Yi stood up excitedly when he saw her and moved closer, wanting to take her hand but was pulled back by Rafas's arm, holding Yan Wushuang tightly to avoid his approach.
Long Yi glared angrily at Rafas. It wasn't appropriate for him to explode in such a setting, but when he looked at Wushuang, his gaze was filled with tenderness and affection...
"Long Yi." Misa also returned to the venue behind them. Seeing his expression seemed off; glancing at Wushuang being held intimately by Rafas made her realize what was happening.
"Miss Yamamoto, long time no see!" Rafas greeted her with a slight tremble at the corner of his mouth.
Misa's eyes were filled with murderous intent as she linked arms with Yamamoto Ryuichi, struggling to suppress this urge. Meanwhile, Wushuang felt confused by these two people and turned to ask Rafas beside her, "Lefas, this lady just said in the restroom that she knows me; is it true? But I can't remember anything at all. So who are they?"
Wushuang's words made Long Yi's body stiffen in place. Shuang'er said she didn't know who they were? She had no impression of them at all? What had happened in between? Why had his Princess Wushuang forgotten him?
"Could it be that Miss Wushuang has amnesia? How could she not even recognize our Yamamoto-kun?" Kogura observed the situation with curiosity and watched how this drama would unfold.
Wushuang met Kogura's scrutinizing gaze and instinctively shrank closer into Rafas's embrace. This man's eyes frightened her; she always felt he harbored ill intentions toward her. No wonder Lefas wanted her to stay close by his side.
"What's wrong? Why does your face suddenly look so bad?" Rafas looked down at her rigid body and avoided Kogura's lecherous gaze.
"Lefas, I want to go outside for some fresh air; will you accompany me?" Wushuang pleaded with a soft and delicate voice as she looked at him, feeling increasingly stifled here as if she couldn't breathe.
"Shuang'er, are you okay?" Long Yi asked, ignoring Misa's obstruction, his gaze filled with concern for her flustered expression. Though he couldn't touch her, his love and care for her could not be hindered by any reason.
Yan Wushuang couldn't remember who he was, but she felt a strange familiarity with him, as if they had met before. Perhaps it was fate that allowed her to draw that identical sketch, leading her to meet the real person from the painting tonight!
"I'm sorry everyone, my fiancée isn't feeling well, so we'll be leaving for a bit. See you at the auction!" As he spoke, Rafas stood up, wrapping his arm around Wushuang's waist, ready to take her out to the balcony for some fresh air.
Yan Wushuang followed closely behind him. When they reached Long Yi's side, he couldn't help but grab her hand, his emotions surging as he looked at her with a hint of sadness. "Shuang'er, do you really not remember who I am?"
Looking at his familiar face, Yan Wushuang smiled lightly and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Yamamoto. I had a serious illness a few months ago and can't remember anything from before. Regardless of whether we knew each other or not, we know each other now, right? Don't you think so, Mr. Yamamoto?"
The title "Mr. Yamamoto" doused Long Yi's passionate heart with cold water. It felt like he had fallen into an ice cellar; she had actually lost her memory. With just one sentence of not remembering, had she cast aside all their past promises?
"Shuang'er, you..." Long Yi wanted to say more to Wushuang, but Rafas had reached his limit of patience. If it weren't for the occasion today, he would have dealt with him first.
"I'm sorry, we must take our leave now, Mr. Yamamoto." He held Yan Wushuang protectively and led her toward the outdoor balcony.
Yamamoto Ryuichi stood rigidly in place, watching them leave together intimately. He could not accept this outcome; Shuang'er’s illness was just an excuse. That bastard must have abused Shuang'er, causing her unprecedented pain or perhaps they had drugged her to erase her memories!
Shouya wrapped his arms around Amy and walked over to Yamamoto Ryuichi with a relaxed demeanor. "This outcome is better for everyone; why cling to it so tightly?"
This outcome? What a joke! Shuang'er was meant to be his—his one and only Princess Wushuang. What was Rafas? Just a robber and a murderer; he had no right to possess Wushuang's love. He didn't deserve it!
Kogura waited until the beautiful figure completely disappeared before walking over to Yamamoto Ryuichi and provocatively said, "From the looks of Yan Wushuang, she really has lost her memory. I'm sure that Rafas guy did something to your woman to make her forget you completely!"
He hated! He hated so much!
Misa worriedly stayed by his side, watching his face filled with suppressed anger. For a moment, she didn't know what comforting words to say; the long-awaited reunion turned out like this?
The music in the banquet hall continued as everyone mingled and danced in their circles while outside on the balcony, a couple embraced passionately, their lips locked tightly together as they savored each other's familiar taste.
After a long while... the woman finally couldn't withstand the man's fervent kiss any longer and pushed him away breathlessly. "I'm tired, Lefas!"
Rafas held Yan Wushuang close in his arms, letting her lean against him. Wushuang closed her eyes tightly against him; ever since she encountered that girl in the restroom, an unsettling feeling had begun to stir within her—especially the lewd gaze that man had cast upon her earlier made her feel uncomfortable all over.
"Are you feeling better? Some things aren't worth remembering; just let them go without holding onto them too tightly. Do you understand what I mean?" Holding her close, he could sense her confusion and unease.
Yan Wushuang nodded, but she still looked at him and asked, "Lefas, they really know me, right? I just want to know this."
Rafas's expression seemed a bit off, but it was hard to notice in the dim light of the balcony. "They are all Japanese. Once, when you were upset with me, you secretly ran off to Japan with Ieyako to hide and deliberately didn't let me find you. But I told you, you can never escape my grasp. In the end, I found you. They both protected you in Japan and lost quite a bit of business for opposing me on your behalf!"
"So that's how it is. No wonder that girl knows Yazi and called you a jerk. You made them lose a lot of business. What happened afterward?" She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked up at him.
"What happened afterward? What else is there? You were brought back by me and then fell ill and unconscious until you woke up. You already know all that, don't you?" Rafas slightly altered the true story, making Yan Wushuang completely believe him.
Wushuang finally understood the whole situation, but after thinking for a moment, Rafas added, "Baby, I want you to stay far away from that man, understand?"
"Why? Aren't we acquaintances? Aren't we friends?" She was still a bit confused.
"Do you know why I was so angry that I made them lose so much business? The reason is you; that guy foolishly fell in love with you!" He looked at her with sincere eyes, filled with anger that conveyed he would not let anything happen between them again.
Wushuang suddenly buried her face in his chest. His gaze was terrifying, reminiscent of the day she first woke up; no... it was even scarier than that day!
"Lefas, I remember now. I will stay far away from him. I'm sorry; please don't be mad at me," she whispered softly, trembling as she embraced him.
Rafas felt her satisfactory promise ease his angry expression. He cupped her face in his hands and lowered his head. At the moment their noses touched, he gently said, "My baby, say you love me and that you'll never leave me!"
"I love you; I'll never leave you..." she murmured as she leaned in and pressed her red lips against his sensual ones.
