Finally seeing her smile, Rafas held her hand and walked in, with two bodyguards closely following a few meters behind to protect them. The amusement park was filled with playful and whimsical attractions. Wushuang pointed at a carousel, excitedly shouting, "Lefas, I want to ride that!"
"Okay, but you'll have to ride it by yourself because I don't think they'd let someone with my build on it," he replied. Standing at nearly six feet three inches tall, with a Silver Mask on his face, he would surely scare the children away if he tried to ride.
Wushuang nodded; she could go play by herself while Rafas waited by the railing, watching her innocent and adorable smile. He truly cared for her…
Yan Wushuang sat sideways on the horse's back, going up and down as if on a real horse, spinning along with the cheerful music…
"Baby, do you like it here?" he asked, holding her hand tightly as they wandered through the various corners of the amusement park.
Yan Wushuang nodded and pointed at a small house hanging high in the air, asking, "Lefas, what is that? Why are so many little houses hanging up there?"
"That's called a Ferris wheel. Do you want to try it?" The look of wonder on her face already answered his question.
The Ferris wheel slowly descended to let off a group of passengers before taking on another batch. Rafas instructed the two bodyguards to wait below while he took Yan Wushuang into a small cabin. The operator pulled the switch, and the Ferris wheel began to rotate upward.
Yan Wushuang sat by the window, watching as they rose higher and higher off the ground. She felt particularly excited; with just the two of them in this little cabin, Rafas wrapped his arms around her from behind, pulling her into his embrace. He buried his cheek in her hair, inhaling her fragrance as he kissed her cheek and lightly nibbled on her earlobe.
"Baby, we're getting higher. Are you scared?" He held her tighter, fearing that if he let go for even a moment, she might fall.
Yan Wushuang shook her head boldly and said, "I'm not scared; it's very safe here. Besides, you're with me; you won't let anything happen to me, right?"
"Right, I won't let anything happen to you. Trust me and forgive my impulsiveness yesterday," he said softly, still able to see traces of yesterday's events beneath her fair collar.
"Lefas, can we not talk about yesterday anymore? I'm really happy right now; I don't want to think about unhappy things!" She turned to look at him and raised her arms to wrap around his neck.
In the small cabin high above the ground, they embraced tightly together, their lips entwined passionately.
The chaotic atmosphere left them both feeling dizzy with desire. Rafas held her on the seat, his hands roaming over her body as his control slipped away more and more; he wanted her desperately.
“Lefas, don't do this. We're not in our own car or at the villa. Calm down!” Wushuang suddenly regained her composure and grabbed his wandering hand, panting to stop him.
“Okay, I'm calm, I'm in control, but you have to promise me that you won't refuse me tonight.” He helplessly suppressed the desire within him, planning to pull her into the car for some intimacy as soon as they got off this Ferris wheel.
Shyly nodding in agreement, Rafas kissed his cheek while at that moment, an unusual light shone through the car's glass. Rafas quickly pulled Wushuang close and ducked down.
“Bang!” A bullet with tremendous penetrating power shattered the glass of the car.
Wushuang was tightly held in Rafas's arms for protection. She never expected something like this to happen and looked at him in panic, her small hands gripping his shirt tightly. “Lefas, what’s happening?”
“Baby, don’t panic. I suspect someone is trying to kill me. Don’t worry; I, Rafas, won’t be easily assassinated. As long as I’m alive, you won’t be harmed in any way.” His eyes revealed a murderous intent; it seemed those two guys couldn’t hold back any longer and had acted early.
“Bang… bang… bang!” Three consecutive bullets shot towards the car. Rafas covered Wushuang with his body and pressed her down on the floor while taking out his phone to contact his people.
The two bodyguards stationed below sensed danger approaching and rushed into the control room, immediately bringing down the section of the Ferris wheel that their master was still on. Being airborne made them easy targets for enemies, and they couldn’t protect him from the ground.
The car slowly descended until it was nearly ten meters above the ground when suddenly the entire Ferris wheel stopped. The power in the control room was cut off, revealing two corpses inside—one was an amusement park staff member and the other was a bodyguard who had just rushed into the control room.
“Lefas, how are you doing?” Shouya hurried towards the amusement park as fast as he could.
“I’m not dead yet. Have our people set off?” Inside the car, Rafas held Yan Wushuang tightly while assessing their surroundings.
“Mike should be nearby by now. Just hang on for a few more minutes; our people will all arrive soon.” He didn’t expect them to act so quickly; did that man not care about Wushuang’s life at all?
“Bang!!” During their conversation, a helicopter suddenly appeared in the sky and ruthlessly began firing at the section of the Ferris wheel where Rafas was located.
Rafas pulled Yan Wushuang under a row of iron benches as deafening gunfire startled the entire amusement park, causing panic among the crowd as people ran everywhere in fear.
Yan Wushuang tightly covered her ears, trembling as she hid in his embrace. Bullets pierced through the metal of the train car, instantly turning the entire compartment into a honeycomb, filled with countless holes.
The gunfire finally ceased, and the people in the helicopter assumed Rafas was dead, as the train car had been riddled with bullets. Even if he had nine lives, it wouldn't be enough to withstand so many shots.
"Lefas, are you okay?" In that bullet-riddled compartment, Yan Wushuang gently pushed against the man in front of her. With such fierce gunfire earlier, he must have been injured.
"Baby, I'm fine. I don't know if it's because my life is cheap or if my luck is just too good." He twitched his lips and even deliberately kissed her.
"What time is it? You still have the mood to say these things? What are we going to do next? Do we stay here?" She clung to him in panic; at that moment, she was truly scared. If she were alone, she would definitely faint from fear.
"We can't stay here any longer. This car can't withstand that kind of firepower. We need to find a way back to the ground and buy some time for Mike to support us!" He calculated that the two bodyguards below had probably already been shot, and now he had to figure out how to get down with Shuang'er.
As he furrowed his brows in thought, a voice came from his hand: "Master, Master, are you okay?"
A smile appeared on Rafas's face; it seemed like fate was on his side!
"I'm fine. I need to get down now. You cover me from below and help me avoid the helicopter's fire." He commanded while loosening his tie and binding Yan Wushuang in front of him, preparing to take a gamble with her.
Looking down at the height, it was about ten meters. If he were alone, he could jump down easily, but with Wushuang in front of him, that didn't seem appropriate.
"Lefas..." Yan Wushuang held him tightly, looking at his hesitant eyes.
"Shuang'er, look at the height below. If we jump down from here, will you be scared?" Rafas searched for her answer as he gazed at her cheek.
Yan Wushuang looked out the window and calmly replied, "It's so high; of course I would be scared. But as long as you're with me, I'm not afraid of anything. I’m willing to trust you!"
The two locked eyes; Rafas held her tightly in his arms and pressed a firm kiss on her forehead: "Trust me, I won't let you get hurt."
Determined, Yan Wushuang was tightly bound in front of him as Rafas kicked open the broken iron door. The helicopter that had been hovering above, thinking he was dead, immediately redirected its firepower upon seeing him appear.
"Bang..." A bodyguard hidden in the shadows saw the assassin in the helicopter open the cabin door and lean out to prepare for a shot. He quickly took action and shot the assassin dead.
Rafas watched as the shooter fell from the helicopter, likely dead from the gunshot. He leaped forward, not directly jumping to the ground but instead tightly holding onto Yan Wushuang and jumping towards a support beam on the left, his right hand firmly gripping the railing.
Yan Wushuang closed her eyes tightly, finding it particularly difficult to breathe. Her small hands clutched Rafas anxiously, beads of sweat forming due to her tension. Once they stood securely on the support beam, she let out a deep sigh of relief.
"Bang... Bang... Bang..." Just as they steadied themselves, several bullets fired towards them, all hitting the steel pipes of the support beam with a piercing sound.
Rafas sharply sensed that another attack was imminent. He held her tightly with his left arm while his right hand gripped the steel pipe as he prepared to slide down to the ground: "Baby, close your eyes; we're going down."
Yan Wushuang obediently shut her eyes and buried her face in his chest. Another bullet fired with a bang, and Rafas tightened his arms around her as they swiftly slid down.
"Quick, turn them into blood holes!" A command rang out from the helicopter as bullets rained down on them like a storm.
Rafas held Yan Wushuang tightly and slid forcefully down from the steel pipe. The sound of bullets scraping against it echoed in his ears. Unfazed, Rafas scanned his surroundings. The moment his toes touched the ground, he agilely rolled with Yan Wushuang and hid in a concealed spot.
Despite such overwhelming firepower, he managed to escape successfully. This infuriated those in the helicopter, who directed all their firepower at the spot where he had disappeared, shooting wildly.
Taking advantage of their momentary hesitation, Rafas had already moved Yan Wushuang to another location. At that moment, Mike arrived with a top-notch team of assassins. Two more helicopters appeared in mid-air, showcasing advanced military weaponry as they targeted the still-firing enemies. A missile was launched, obliterating the enemy's helicopter!
