"Brother Shouya, please take a picture of me and send it to Lefas to see which outfit looks better on me?" She smiled as she asked Shouya to take her photo. Meanwhile, Rafas, who was signing a contract at the company, saw the adorable Little Woman in the text message on his phone, and Silver Mask's long-sealed face broke into a radiant smile.
"Shuang'er, Lefas replied that you look good in anything, especially that off-white outfit you just tried on." Shouya helplessly sat aside, watching the busy Little Woman going in and out of the fitting room, acting as her messenger.
Hehe... Wushuang smiled with satisfaction, instructing the sales assistant to pack all the dresses she had just tried on, including the one she was wearing.
After stepping back into the fitting room to change out of her current dress, the sales assistant prepared the bill. Mike stepped forward to pay. The surroundings were calm; no one expected that during Wushuang's last few minutes inside to change clothes, she would suddenly disappear and not come out.
Shouya sensed something was wrong and knocked on the door from outside, calling out, "Wushuang, Shuang'er, are you done changing? We need to leave!"
One second, two seconds, three seconds... there was still no response from inside. In a panic, Shouya kicked open the fitting room door only to find it empty; the dress she had been trying on hung quietly on the door.
"Something's wrong; seal off the exits immediately!" Shouya shouted. In that cramped space, he faintly detected the scent of a sleeping drug. Wushuang had never come out; how could she suddenly go missing?
Mike immediately instructed several bodyguards to split up and search while he called their employer. He rushed into the mall's surveillance room to check the footage near the fitting room and all exit cameras.
Shouya searched around in the fitting room and forcefully pushed against a barrier door that separated two fitting rooms. Indeed, it had been tampered with. It seemed someone had hidden in the adjacent fitting room beforehand and took advantage of Wushuang's distraction while changing clothes to move the barrier door aside, drugging her and quietly taking her away through the back fitting room.
Rafas had just signed his name on a contract when he received bad news; his smile vanished instantly. He drove straight to the mall, wondering why every time he wasn't by her side, something would happen.
"Lefas, you're here! Wushuang has been drugged and taken away!" Shouya brought Rafas to where Wushuang mysteriously disappeared and explained everything that had happened.
In the surveillance room, there was no footage capturing the fitting room area. Rafas carefully watched each exit's surveillance feed when suddenly a familiar silhouette caught his attention. But for a moment, he couldn't recall who it was.
"Mike, gather everyone; we must find her before dark!" His expression was grim and pale as he thought about how she had been happily choosing clothes just moments ago before being drugged and abducted.
Kogura and Yamamoto Ryuichi! The first two people who came to mind were them; among them, Kogura was the one who made him feel most uneasy!
That guy has been pushing him hard lately; he might have already placed someone in Las Vegas, or perhaps someone close to him. If Wushuang falls into the hands of that old lecher, it would be troublesome. Last time at the auction, he could see through his intentions.
If Yamamoto Ryuichi were involved, Wushuang would be safe. However, that guy would definitely find a way to make Wushuang regain her memory. Damn it, if she regains her memory, that would really give him a headache!
Solomon searched through Las Vegas as quickly as possible, but Yamamoto Ryuichi wouldn't be so foolish; he certainly knows that Las Vegas is his territory. As long as he hides within the city, Solomon will definitely find him.
So he disguised himself as a janitor, placed Wushuang in a barrel, and stealthily took her out of the mall. He loaded her into a vehicle and immediately left Las Vegas City, taking her to a remote area outside the city to hide her. After dark, he planned to take her up the mountain and leave this place together, returning to their world.
Three hours passed without any news. The report from Italy stated that Kogura was arrested by Interpol in the morning, so it couldn't have been him sending someone. That eliminated one possibility, leaving only Yamamoto Ryuichi.
Rafas suddenly furrowed his brow; he realized that the figure he saw was indeed Yamamoto Ryuichi!
“Mike, send someone out of the city to search immediately!” He was certain that Yamamoto had hidden Wushuang away; perhaps he even knew that secret.
Without delay, he drove towards the cemetery outside the city; maybe that old guy knew something?
Rafas arrived at the cemetery as quickly as possible, but aside from an eerie silence, there was no sign of anyone. Where did that old guy go?
“Sir, may I ask what you need?” A man who appeared to be around fifty suddenly appeared behind him.
Rafas turned to look at him; this wasn't the old man he was looking for: “Was there an old man with white hair who used to tend this garden? Where is he?”
“Oh yes, there was indeed one. However, you’re too late; he left for China a few days ago and said he would stay there for good, dying on that land.” The old man walked past him and sat on a wooden bench.
He went to China; what a place to choose. Coldly glancing back at the people behind him, Rafas strode out of the cemetery. As he walked away, he deliberately glanced in a certain direction before getting into his car and leaving.
The medicinal effects gradually faded, and Wushuang slowly opened her eyes. The dilapidated wooden cabin and the unfamiliar surroundings made her wonder where she was.
"Shuang'er, you finally woke up. How do you feel? Is there anything uncomfortable?" In front of her stood not Yamamoto Ryuichi, but her General Longze, who was solely devoted to her Long Ze.
Wushuang's consciousness gradually returned as she looked at the man before her, frowning and softly murmuring, "Are you Mr. Yamamoto? Why did you bring me here? What do you want to do with me?"
With amnesia, facing Long Ze felt like confronting a complete stranger. Although she sensed no malice from him, the feeling of unfamiliarity made her quite uneasy.
"Shuang'er, don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. I know you've lost your memory and forgotten our past, but it's okay. You'll regain your memories soon. Trust me!" He grasped her wrist tightly, knowing how much he missed her. Seeing her with another man caused him pain that felt almost unbearable.
Wushuang recalled what Lefas had told her. There was indeed a connection between them in the past, but she couldn't remember anything now. Why force her to recover memories when she was living well and felt content?
"Mr. Yamamoto, please stop this. You're hurting me!" Wushuang looked at the agitated man and struggled in a bit of panic.
His large hand gripped her wrist tightly; realizing he was too emotional, he quickly loosened his hold to ease her discomfort. Wushuang had never seen him so anxious before, but why had he brought her to this place?
"Mr. Yamamoto, what do you really want? Even if you want to help me regain my memory, there’s no need for this method. If Lefas finds out you kidnapped me, he definitely won't let you off easily." She seemed to be warning him, hoping he would stop making mistakes and quickly return her to Lefas.
Long Yi watched Wushuang in front of him, mentioning Lefas repeatedly. In her heart, all she thought about was Rafas, which deepened his hatred for that man!
Wushuang gazed into his deep eyes and suddenly felt a familiar sensation rising within her, as if they had known each other for a long time. The gaze they shared resembled that of long-lost lovers.
Unable to help herself, she reached out to touch his cheek. His familiar features seemed to evoke some vague memories from his eyes, but the images were unclear and left her feeling confused.
"My princess, have you remembered something?" Long Yi swallowed hard and asked her nervously.
"I... saw some very vague images, but I'm not sure. My head hurts, and why do you call me princess?" Wushuang closed her eyes, trying to ease her mind.
"Shuang'er, because you are a princess! You are the Princess Wushuang of the Great Yan Kingdom. Do you remember the Scenic Landscape Painting you created? That represents our Great Yan territory. Even though you've lost your memory, you still remember it deep down in your subconscious," Long Yi attempted to awaken her dormant memories, hoping she could recall even a little bit.
Wushuang sat silently, pondering that if her subconscious could remember, then perhaps the reason she painted his likeness was because she remembered him too?
Yamamoto Ryuichi sat beside her, no longer speaking to disturb her thoughts. He let her contemplate quietly while watching the sky darken; it would soon be completely dark. Although tonight was not the fifteenth day of the month, the moon appeared full and perhaps they could try something.
Rafas had sent thousands of people to Las Vegas but found no trace at all. As night fell, his heart grew increasingly uneasy; he felt that Wushuang's disappearance was not so simple.
In a wooden cabin on the outskirts, Yan Wushuang thought for a long time before deciding to follow him in search of her lost memories.
The helicopter slowly ascended but did not fly far; it landed steadily on a mountaintop. Wushuang stepped out of the cabin and looked at the desolate landscape before her—both strange and familiar. Had she been here before?
"Shuang'er, are you ready? Looking at the moonlight under the night sky, we are about to begin. However, I can't guarantee that a miracle will occur because miracles happen only on a full moon night." He led her to an open area while others stepped aside, eager to see what miracle might unfold.
Wushuang turned to Long Yi beside her and asked in confusion, "If it's a full moon night, then why don't we wait until that night?"
"Because we don't have time left, so I must try now!" Long Yi's tone was serious, and his expression seemed to convey that this matter was grave.
Taking out a jade pendant, he held Wushuang's hand tightly as they both raised the pendant high, allowing it to bask in the moonlight. Wushuang didn't understand what this would accomplish but earnestly followed his lead in praying for the Moon Goddess to help her regain her memories.
