“Lefas, Sharl has been arrested. What should we do now?” Shouya was not good at this kind of struggle and had no ideas, so he could only look to Lefas for a plan.
“Sharl was too careless this time. Smith Will is a selfish person; he will definitely confess our cooperation to the police to save himself. There was a knock at the study door. Shouya went to open it, and outside stood Yezi, her face streaked with tears. She had heard that Sharl had just landed in England when he was arrested by Interpol and rushed over to plead for help.
“Yezi, how did you get here?” Seeing her expression, Shouya already knew the reason without her saying a word.
“Brother Shouya, please let me in! I need to see the master; I need his help to rescue Sharl!” Yezi pleaded excitedly as she grabbed his arm, knowing that only the master had the ability to bring Sharl back safely.
“Let her in!” He had already heard the crying outside; it was undoubtedly the little rabbit from Sharl's family.
Yezi pushed the door open and ran in, rushing over to Rafas standing by the window. “Master, Sharl has been arrested by Interpol! You must save him! Please!”
Rafas turned to look at her and paused for a few seconds before saying, “Woman, pleading with me like this is unnecessary. Given Sharl's position in the organization and our friendship, do you think I would let anything happen to him? However, your willingness to plead for him shows that Sharl did not choose the wrong woman!”
“Really? You mean Sharl will definitely come back safely, right?” Yezi asked through her tears, feeling a glimmer of hope.
“Yes... Sharl will be fine. Even if he is convicted, I will break him out of prison and bring him back to you. Is that satisfactory?” Rafas was truly becoming impatient with her. But thinking from another perspective, if he were the one in trouble, would his Canary worry about him like this?
“I don't want it that way! I want him to come back safely; you must promise me!” Yezi insisted. Even if he broke him out safely, how would Sharl face others afterward? Would he have to live a life of hiding forever?
Shouya stepped forward and patted her shoulder to reassure her. Their friendship among the three of them was not in vain; she didn't need to plead because Lefas would find a way to rescue Sharl.
Rafas ignored her and left her to Shouya while he repeatedly thought about the situation and realized that he needed to do something on the British side to help clear Sharl's name.
Yezi was taken out by Shouya. After listening to his comforting words, she felt much better. However, being alone in the room made her think of Sharl far away in England, and tears streamed down her face as she felt heartbroken!
No one besides her mother had ever spoiled or protected her like Sharl did. She had already decided that Sharl was everything to her; if anything happened to him, she would share life and death with him!
“Ding...” After Rafas left, Wushuang continued lying down for a while before finally getting up. Just then, the phone on the bedside table rang.
She picked up the phone and put it to her ear; on the other end came intermittent sobs. Wushuang's heart skipped a beat—wasn't that Yezi's voice?
“Yezi? Is that you? What happened? Why are you crying so sadly? Did Faisal bully you?” she asked anxiously, completely unaware of what had happened.
"Wushuang, Sharl has been arrested. I'm really worried about him. Although the master said he would definitely rescue him, I still can't feel at ease." The only friend Yezi could confide in was Wushuang. Knowing how upset she must be after yesterday's events, she couldn't help but call her.
Yan Wushuang was stunned for a few seconds, recalling the phone call Rafas received this morning, which must have been about this matter.
"Yezi, calm down. Lefas said he would safely bring Sharl back, and he will keep his word. Don't forget their relationship; Sharl will definitely return safely, so don't worry!" She didn't know the specifics, but all she could do was comfort Yezi.
The two continued to chat on the phone. Wushuang patiently listened to her concerns. It turned out that Sharl had been arrested in England, but what was he doing there?
This situation also gave Rafas a headache. However, he believed that money could solve problems; he didn't think the authorities in England would ignore his influence. No matter who was manipulating this situation behind the scenes, he would show them who was in charge. Trying to bring down Rafas was nothing but a dream!
Wushuang anxiously waited in the castle until it was completely dark before she finally saw Lefas's figure appear at the door.
She had been waiting for him all afternoon and couldn't call him. Seeing him arrive, she excitedly rushed forward. Rafas noticed her eagerness and opened his arms to catch her securely. "What's wrong? Did you miss me?"
"What about Sharl? Have you thought of a way to save him?" She jumped into his arms, her first words filled with urgent concern for Sharl.
Rafas's expression changed. He had thought she was looking forward to his return, but as soon as she spoke, it was about another man. Wasn't that a bit disrespectful?
Wushuang noticed his change in demeanor and quickly explained, "Yezi called me crying today; you know she's my best friend, so that's why I'm so concerned about Sharl!"
"Forget it; I'm not a petty man. But when a husband comes home and the first thing his wife asks is about another man, shouldn't I be upset?" Rafas lifted her petite frame and sat her down on the sofa, wrapping his arms around her slender waist and gazing intently into her eyes.
Wushuang felt a bit embarrassed and lowered her head, but Rafas gently lifted her chin so they could look into each other's eyes. Whatever she was thinking could be seen clearly in her gaze!
"Darling, you are now my wife, so in your eyes and heart—whether it's what you see or think—there can only be me. Do you understand?" He declared possessively; he wanted not just her body but also her heart.
Wushuang obediently nodded and leaned forward to kiss him. The servants and Mike in the hall discreetly excused themselves, leaving just the two of them in the grand hall. However, Rafas had no intention of staying there any longer.
In their luxurious and comfortable bed, Rafas had already carried Wushuang back to their private space. The beautiful woman beneath him, now truly his wife, sparkled with clarity in her eyes as he recalled what he had once said... "Yan Wushuang, you can't escape. Even if I die, I will drag you down to hell with me!"
"Darling, tell me what you did today. Did you miss me?" He loved to control every moment of her time; if possible, he wished he could take her with him every day.
Wushuang lay beneath him, gazing into his dark eyes as she softly replied in a delicate voice near his ear, "I talked with Yezi for a long time this afternoon and waited for you in the hall. I wanted to call you but was afraid I would disturb you!"
Her voice was soft and pleasant to hear; Rafas loved listening to her talk. His rough hand caressed her tender cheek; no matter when it was, she could always capture his attention.
Wushuang felt a shiver run through her body as she was gazed at by his dark eyes. His expression hinted at what he was about to do next, yet he had not answered her question.
“Lefas, wait, can you first tell me what Sharl's current situation is? I promised Yezi I would let her know tomorrow.” She pressed her small hands against his chest, trying hard to create a little distance between them.
This Little Woman seemed truly unable to understand what he was saying and foolishly asked him such a question. However, considering that she was doing it for her friend, he decided to let it slide this time.
He released his arms from around her and sat at the head of the bed, taking off his tie and unbuttoning his shirt while turning his back to the Little Woman. “Regarding Sharl's situation, it’s clear that someone wants to weaken my influence. Sharl has always been my right-hand person. Apart from me, the people who can speak most authoritatively are Monica and Solomon. That person is very clever; knowing they can't take me down in one go, they targeted my most capable ally!”
Wushuang's eyes widened as she sat up and crawled closer to him, nervously asking, “So does this mean Sharl is in serious danger? Didn’t you promise Yezi that you would ensure Sharl’s safety?”
Rafas tossed his tie and shirt onto the carpet and pulled Wushuang into his embrace, a teasing smile spreading across his face. “Darling, let’s wash up while we talk!”
Just as Wushuang opened her mouth to say “No!”, Rafas had already carried her into the bathroom…
“Lefas, I already took a shower once before you came back. You should wash by yourself; I’ll just wait for you outside.” Wushuang lowered her head, her cheeks flushed. Despite having been intimate countless times and having seen each other’s bodies many times, she still felt embarrassed and her heart raced at such moments; even her breathing became hurried.
Rafas was very pleased with her reaction; he loved how shy she was, as if it were their first time dealing with such matters.
“Hahaha… It’s fine; we can wash again! It’s been a long time since we’ve had a face-to-face chat like this. You want to know about Sharl, don’t you? Don’t you want to know how I plan to rescue Sharl?” He seized on her curiosity, waiting for her to willingly come closer.
At the mention of this matter, Wushuang's eyes lit up. Looking at his ambiguous smile, she knew he had planned this all along. However, she was genuinely curious; even if she refused him now, he would certainly not let her go later.
