"Come home with me..." A familiar voice rang out above, and Yan Wushuang turned to see that it was him.
"Lefas, let go first. Your Highness is here." Yan Wushuang was someone who valued appearances, struggling to free herself from his tight grip.
"So what? You're my wife, so you should come back with me! From now on, you are not allowed to stay out this long without my permission!" Rafas's expression turned serious, his eyes filled with anger as he provocatively glared at Morina.
No matter what he said, Morina seemed unfazed. After taking a sip of coffee, she noticed Rafas still tightly holding Yan Wushuang's wrist and instinctively stood up to intervene.
"Mr. Lei, we are just having afternoon tea as friends; there's no need to be so tense. Come sit down with us!" With a smile on her face, she tried to pull Yan Wushuang away, but they were in a public place, and it didn't seem appropriate.
Yan Wushuang's wrist was being pulled painfully tight. Was this man insane? They were in a public setting; how could he treat her like this?
She struggled to break free, her eyes growing misty. Forgetting about her public image, she lowered her head and bit down hard on his arm, finally forcing Rafas to release her wrist.
"Shuang'er..." Once freed, Yan Wushuang immediately ran towards the door. She didn't want to stay any longer and embarrass herself in front of others.
Seeing her run outside, Rafas covered the bite mark on his arm and chased after her, leaving Morina awkwardly standing alone.
As soon as Yan Wushuang exited the restaurant, the driver happened to return just in time. She jumped into the car and ordered the driver to leave quickly, not even giving Mike a chance to stop her.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she desperately told herself not to cry—she mustn't cry...
Rafas also ordered Mike to follow her immediately. When they returned to the castle, Yan Wushuang rushed upstairs as soon as she got out of the car. She locked the door behind her, grabbed her suitcase, and began packing her clothes and daily necessities, preparing to leave.
Rafas followed closely behind but arrived just a moment too late; Yan Wushuang had already locked the door. He couldn't get in and sensed something was off when he heard no movement inside.
While he was deep in thought, the bedroom door was suddenly opened from the inside by Yan Wushuang, who was dragging a suitcase, seemingly ready to leave. This startled Rafas outside the door, causing him to break into a cold sweat.
"What are you doing? Put that suitcase back right now!" Rafas stepped forward and snatched the suitcase from her hands.
"Let go of me, I want to leave this place..." Yan Wushuang said seriously, her voice firm.
Rafas looked at her in disbelief, unable to comprehend that she would say such a thing at this moment. He stood there, stunned as if struck by lightning, staring at her without saying a word.
Seeing that he remained silent, Yan Wushuang steeled herself and prepared to walk past him. However, just as she stepped out, Rafas forcefully pulled her back into his embrace, pressing her against the wall and holding her tightly.
"Shuang'er, don't do this. I won't allow you to leave me, not even a step. Didn't you promise me that you would always stand where I can see you? If you leave, where will I go to find you? Can you bear to see me living in misery like this?" Rafas looked at her with deep, sorrowful eyes.
It was one thing not to say anything, but once he did, Yan Wushuang's tears could no longer hold back. Large droplets fell from her eyes like an unending rain of sorrow, soaking his clothes.
"I regret it, is that not enough? Why should I stay here and be humiliated by you? I want to leave; move aside and let me go..." Yan Wushuang tried to push him away, but he was too heavy for her to budge even slightly.
"As long as I'm here, you're not going anywhere!" Rafas suddenly became fierce, his tone carrying a sense of fear reminiscent of the past.
Yan Wushuang sobbed deeply as he forcibly pulled her back into the bedroom. He locked the door and fixed his sharp gaze on her.
"Woo... woo..." Yan Wushuang cried pitifully under the covers. Her wrist still throbbed with pain, a testament to how forcefully he had grabbed her earlier.
Rafas sat beside her on the bed, listening to her muffled sobs. His heart felt heavy as he leaned forward to try and pull the blanket away from her. However, Yan Wushuang clutched it tightly and refused to let go.
"Baby, can we stop arguing?" Rafas suddenly softened, lowering his head and pleading with her.
Yan Wushuang lay under the blanket with her eyes tightly closed. Perhaps it was because she had been under the covers for too long, making it increasingly difficult for her to breathe, and she gradually felt a sense of suffocation.
She lifted one corner of the blanket but still avoided Rafas on the other side, gasping for air...
Seizing the opportunity, Rafas threw the blanket aside and bent down to hold her tightly, whispering in her ear, "Baby, can we make up? I don't want to argue with you. If you really plan to leave here and leave me, then there's nothing worth holding onto in my life. Even this face—who would I show it to?"
After a moment of calm, they both felt much clearer; the gentle Rafas returned...
Yan Wushuang buried her face in the sheets, her voice choked with sobs as she questioned him aggrievedly, "Tell me, were you really going to catch me cheating just now?"
Rafas's heart tightened. Seeing her laughing and talking with Morina earlier had indeed made him furious. He rushed over to take her away, but wasn't "catching cheating" a bit too serious?
"Baby, where are you getting that from? I was worried about you, which is why I rushed to Coffee Wings to bring you back. It wasn't like that!" he explained, but his explanation seemed too weak.
"You're lying... You were going to catch me cheating. If you just wanted to pick me up, would you have that kind of expression? That kind of action?" As she spoke, Yan Wushuang struggled out of his embrace and sat up, showing him the bruise on her wrist.
Seeing the bruise on her right wrist made his heart tighten again. He lowered his head and ran his long fingers through his hair, looking frustrated and guilty.
It seemed like this was the first time Yan Wushuang had seen him like this, and a feeling of heartache rose within her; perhaps she had overreacted.
"I'm sorry, Shuang'er. I didn't want to hurt you, but when I saw the photo of you with Morina in the conference room, I felt completely out of control. I desperately wanted to be by your side and hold you in my arms. Maybe my actions today were indeed excessive, but I did it all because I care about you. I'm afraid of losing you..." He looked defeated, not expecting that he could naturally say those three words in front of her—words he would never easily say to anyone else.
Yan Wushuang looked as if he was in great pain, lowering his head with tears still hanging on his face, whispering aggrievedly, "I'm afraid to face you..."
"No... you can't be afraid to face me. I can't be without you, Shuang'er..." Rafas's emotions grew more intense, his eyes even reddening. No one knew what he was thinking at that moment!
Yan Wushuang was tightly embraced by him, held close as he inhaled her familiar scent, burying his face in the nape of her neck out of love.
After a long time... Yan Wushuang remained silent, closing her eyes in his arms as if she had fallen asleep. However, Rafas knew she wasn't truly asleep; she simply didn't want to respond to him.
"Shuang'er?" Rafas called softly.
"Mm..." she replied lightly.
"I love you..." His bare confession hoped to finally win her back.
"You’re lying; I don’t want to believe you." Yan Wushuang buried her cheek deeper into his embrace, her arms tightly holding onto him.
"I love you... I love you... I love you..."
A series of confessions deeply etched into Yan Wushuang's heart...
"You mustn't say that again. If you do, I'll get angry and really leave!" Yan Wushuang lifted her tear-streaked face to look at him, gently threatening.
Rafas saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes and immediately obediently closed his mouth. He cupped her tear-stained cheeks and softly asked, "Baby, please don't leave me, okay?"
Yan Wushuang could not resist his tender advances, nodding slightly and giving him a satisfactory answer.
He lowered his head and gently caressed her lips, wiping away the tears on her face. Foreheads touching, he earnestly and longingly pleaded with her, "Baby, can you give me a reassurance pill?"
Yan Wushuang seemed confused by his words. What was a reassurance pill?
Looking at him in puzzlement, she asked, "What is a reassurance pill? Where would I get one for you?"
"No... you have it. You are my reassurance pill. Let me possess you completely, okay?" Rafas gazed into her eyes, swallowing hard as if anticipating something, which made him a bit nervous.
What kind of person was Rafas? Now he was getting anxious over a woman; this was the first time in his life he felt such deep emotions.
Yan Wushuang gradually realized what he meant, her cheeks flushing red as she shyly lowered her head and sat silently in front of him.
"Baby... Shuang'er..." Rafas softly murmured her name, slowly leaning his cheek closer to hers, pressing against her rosy lips.
"Mm..." The soft contact of their lips made Wushuang involuntarily let out a light hum.
Rafas gradually laid her down on the bed, tenderly entwining with her, seemingly eager to attain something.
"Baby, I love you. I absolutely cannot live without you in this life. Please don't leave me, don't..." he whispered in her ear as he swiftly removed his clothes and held Wushuang tightly against him.
