An Xin Ya wanted to help her grandmother share the burden. Every day, it was her grandmother who went out to buy groceries and then cooked for her. She remembered one time when her grandmother had to go out for something, and she ventured into the kitchen. She either burned herself on the stove or cut herself with a knife; the floor was slippery, and she fell... 0

When her grandmother returned and saw the messy kitchen and the multiple cuts on her hands, she was startled and asked what had happened. An Xin Ya honestly told her that she wanted to learn how to cook, just like other girls, so she could make delicious food with her own hands. 0

Her grandmother got angry and scolded her, but then she cried and hugged her tightly. Xinya understood that her grandmother felt very guilty because, over the years, no matter how many doctors they consulted, they could not cure her eyes. Their savings had run out, and they had stopped seeking medical help. 0

At that time, Xinya told her grandmother that she firmly believed her eyesight would improve. 0

Grandma An quickly prepared the meal and brought everything out. She saw Xinya sitting in a chair with her legs spread out, reading a braille book with her hands. 0

Seeing her serious expression made Grandma An smile. She went back into the kitchen to get two sets of chopsticks and bowls, placed them on the table, and turned to Xinya saying, "Xinya, it's time to eat. Come over!" 0

She was just one granddaughter; although not biological, Grandma An had treated Xinya as her own for many years. Xinya lost her parents at sixteen and became blind as well. The colorful world in her heart instantly turned into darkness. 0

But she had a talent for music; music flowed through her veins. Therefore, Grandma An tried her best to fulfill her wishes by sending her to Maria Music Academy to learn piano. Although it was just a training class, it had a good reputation in terms of teaching quality. 0

An Xin Ya put down the braille book and gently walked over to sit down. She picked up the chopsticks and held the bowl of rice, feeling its warmth and smelling the fragrant aroma of the food. 0

"Grandma, I smell fish! It must be steamed osmanthus fish! And there's scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried potatoes with meat, and sautéed greens..." An Xin Ya had a keen sense of smell; as soon as she caught a whiff of something, she could identify it and name each dish. "Am I right, Grandma?" 0

"Yes, yes! You guessed it all right! Xinya, you're amazing!" Grandma An said as she added dishes to Xinya's bowl, watching proudly as Xinya smiled brightly like a blooming flower. 0

Looking at Xinya's bright eyes sparkling with unique light was bittersweet; such beautiful eyes could not see anything. Grandma An couldn't help but sigh inwardly, feeling guilty towards her granddaughter. 0

"Grandma, what's wrong?" Even those with sight have instincts; of course, a blind person's instincts are also very strong. An Xin Ya sensed something was off and turned to ask. 0

"Oh, it's nothing!" Grandma An snapped back from her sorrow with a smile on her face and added more food to Xinya's bowl. "Xinya, eat more!" 0

"You should eat more too, Grandma." An Xin Ya's beautiful yet vacant eyes looked ahead as she used chopsticks to pick some food for Grandma An while talking. 0

At the dining table, the two chatted about various topics; most were about what An Xin Ya was learning in school. Xinya was truly strong—optimistic and eager to learn and try everything! 0

Grandma An only had this one granddaughter; whatever she needed, she would do her best to provide for her. 0

That night at Night City Club! 0

This upscale bar was located in the most bustling area of Las Vegas. It attracted all kinds of wealthy people who came not only to drink but also to seek out various beautiful women. 0

Shouya walked into the bar wearing casual attire, the atmosphere inside was enchanting, illuminated by dim lights. He spotted Faisal sitting at the bar and smiled as he approached, patting Faisal on the back while he was drinking. "Why are you here all alone? Where's Lefas?" 0

"You know how it is. With a beautiful wife by his side, he must be at home keeping her company. There's no way he'd have the leisure to come out for drinks!" Felsa chuckled, then raised his glass and finished his whiskey. The liquor slid down his throat and warmed his stomach, igniting a fire of excitement within him. 0

Shouya took a seat and ordered a whiskey from the young bartender, adding some cola before drinking. Seeing this, Faisal teased him, "Dr. Shouya, when did you become so reserved? Adding something else to your drink makes it less enjoyable." 0

"Come on, I have to drive later!" He raised his glass and lightly clinked it against Felsa's before taking a sip. 0

"Oh right, how's that project you were researching in New York?" Felsa asked. 0

"Successful!" Shouya replied, wearing a victorious smile with a hint of pride in his eyes. 0

"Congratulations! Dr. Shouya!" Felsa poured more drinks and raised his glass, which sparkled under the light. 0

Shouya smiled and raised his glass as well, gently clinking it with Felsa's and saying, "Thank you!" He tilted his head back to finish his drink; despite the cola, he still felt a fire within him. 0

The presence of two handsome men at the bar caught the attention of all the women present. Some dressed in revealing outfits swayed their slender waists as they approached, holding their glasses and initiating conversations with them. 0

Neither Shouya nor Faisal were interested in these bar girls; however, they weren't cold-hearted either and knew how to handle them politely while sharing a drink. 0

"Shouya, look at all those beautiful women staring at you! Why not pick one to take home tonight?" Felsa remarked, glancing at the many alluring women flaunting their figures and casting seductive glances their way. 0

In Faisal's heart, there was only Ieyako, leaving no room for other women. Now that Rafas had married Wushuang, and he was soon to wed the lovely Ieyako, two out of three men had found their loves; only Shouya remained single. 0

With looks as striking as Shouya, who resembled a handsome figure from ancient tales, he seemed like a magnet capable of attracting women's attention anywhere. He wasn't lacking in admirers but remained single nonetheless. 0

Hearing Faisal's words made Shouya chuckle lightly without even glancing at the women. "Those women aren't suitable for me at all!" 0

Faisal raised an eyebrow, placing a hand on his shoulder with interest. "What kind of woman would be suitable for you then, my Dr. Shouya?" 0

What kind of woman? Indeed, what kind would suit him? This question left him momentarily speechless. On the operating table, he could save lives and alleviate suffering effortlessly; yet when it came to matters of love and relationships, even someone as intelligent and skilled as him found himself perplexed. 0

"I really don't know," he admitted honestly. 0

Feeling helpless, Faisal took another sip of his drink and said, "Now that both Lefas and I have wives and families, children will come soon... Have you never thought about settling down?" 0

There was some concern in Faisal's voice as he worried for him. The saying goes that while the emperor is calm, the eunuchs are anxious! Seeing Shouya remain so composed ignited a fire within him. Sometimes when this topic came up, Shouya would avoid it entirely, which frustrated him greatly. 0

Yes, watching his friends and brothers find their loved ones, Lefas and Wushuang, along with Yezi, every time he saw them happily together, a sense of jealousy and envy naturally arose in his heart. 0

At that moment, a sweet and pure image of An Xin Ya suddenly appeared in his mind. She sat gracefully in front of the piano; although she couldn't see him, her long, fair hands skillfully played beautiful melodies. 0

Seeing Shouya lost in thought, Faisal felt helpless and asked, "Hey, are you even listening to me? Are you pretending to be confused again?" 0

Shouya returned to reality and looked at Faisal with a charming smile on his face. He said, "Sharl, such things are about fate; they can't be forced!" 0

Indeed, these matters rely on fate, just like with Ieyako. If it weren't for the arrangement of heaven, how would he have met his little Yezi? How would he have rescued her from those villains? 0

Shouya and Faisal left Night City at midnight. The reason for returning so early was that Ieyako called to urge Faisal to hurry home. Even before they were married, she managed him tightly like a housekeeper. 0

They parted ways at the bar entrance. The night breeze was cool as Shouya silently stood at the door, watching Faisal drive away until he quickly disappeared into the darkness. 0

The next day, Shouya drove to Maria Music Academy. Before he even reached the piano room, he could hear a wonderful and melodious piece coming from inside. 0

He strode to the window of the piano room and was delighted to see her there, sitting in front of the piano and playing earnestly. 0

Shouya quietly entered the piano room and sat down on a chair, watching An Xin Ya play. She was truly beautiful; aside from Miss Wushuang, he had never seen such a lovely woman. 0

Her skin was as white as jade, her elegant brows were delicate, and her empty eyes held no impurities—clean and moist—while her lips were as red as cherries. 0
