Seeing her forehead covered in fine beads of sweat and her face filled with terror, Shouya reached out to touch her face and forehead, looking at her with concern. She must have had another nightmare. 0

"Brother Shouya, I'm so scared. I dreamt about Grandma. She kept calling my name, and I rushed over to hug her, but she disappeared... I also dreamt about you. Your palm was bleeding, bright red blood, and then you fainted in front of me. I think I also dreamt..." 0

She gasped for breath as she spoke. 0

Shouya furrowed his brow and said, "Xinya, it's just a dream, not real. I'm here; how could I faint? How could my palm be bleeding?" 0

"What about Grandma?" An Xin Ya seemed to lose control of her emotions. She grabbed Shouya's hand, asking him to call Grandma who was far away in Las Vegas. She wanted to hear her voice. 0

Finally, Shouya made a call to Grandma An, and her voice came through the phone. 0

"Grandma, it's me, Shouya. Xinya wants to say a few words to you," Shouya said while holding the phone. 0

Grandma An happily agreed. 0

An Xin Ya took the phone and held it to her ear, listening to her grandmother's voice. A smile spread across her face as she asked, "Grandma, are you okay? I miss you! Do you miss me?!" 0

Shouya quietly stood beside her, watching her smile and feeling relieved. Her earlier state had frightened him. 0

That day, Shouya took her back to his private suite again. That night he didn't ask anything from her; although he felt urges several times, he managed to control himself and held her tightly as they fell asleep. During this time, her emotions were very unstable, and he needed to be by her side constantly to watch over and care for her. 0

When An Xin Ya woke up, it was already 10 AM the next morning. She noticed no one was by the bed but was stimulated by a familiar aroma that reminded her of the shredded meat noodles Grandma made almost every morning. She remembered that both Shouya and Wushuang had said they really liked eating those noodles at home. 0

Seeing An Xin Ya slightly turn on her side, Shouya quickly walked over and adjusted the pillow's height for her to lean against. "Brother Shouya, I smell the shredded meat noodles. Did you make them?" she said with wide eyes. Grandma couldn't possibly fly from Las Vegas to New York just to make them for her; there was no one else but Brother Shouya. 0

"Yes," Shouya replied. He had decent cooking skills after watching Grandma An prepare shredded meat noodles in the kitchen and thought about making them for Xinya himself one day. 0

"I want to eat," Xinya said, her voice clearly carrying a hint of a pout. 0

"Well, you need to get up and wash up before you can eat," Shouya replied. 0

Xinya didn't say anything and obediently got out of bed. With Shouya's assistance, she walked into the bathroom. Shouya helped An Xin Ya wipe her hands and squeezed toothpaste for her, as attentive and caring as ever. 0

Although it wasn't as delicious as what her grandmother made, Xinya still found it very tasty. 0

Shouya sat beside her, a blissful smile on his face as he watched Xinya eat. Suddenly, he felt that making delicious food for her was a very happy thing to do. 0

He had also simmered bone soup, which turned out slightly milky in color. He served her a bowl, and after taking a sip, she couldn't help but praise, "It's really good! When can I cook such delicious soup for you?" 0

"There will be an opportunity," Shouya smiled back. 0

An Xin Ya's face radiated happiness as she took another bowl of soup. 0

On the fourth day, Jagana returned from the International Conference and gathered all the doctors in the conference room for a meeting in the morning. 0

An Xin Ya sat quietly there when a nurse walked in. She slightly turned her face and asked, "Is Dr. Jagana back?" 0

"Yes, he returned this morning. They are having a meeting now!" the nurse replied kindly. 0

She mentally counted the time; it was already the fourth day, with only one day left until the surgery—or just a few hours. She couldn't help but feel a bit nervous and worried inside. 0

Then she heard hurried footsteps coming in, which startled her. 0

Shouya, Jagana, and the other doctors walked in. Seeing her frightened and nervous expression, Shouya quickly approached her and said, "Don't be afraid, it's Dr. Jagana. They are here to do a brief eye examination." 0

Upon hearing that it was them, An Xin Ya finally relaxed and nodded in agreement. 0

The doctors began to conduct a brief examination of her eyes, whispering among themselves before leaving. 0

"Xinya, the surgery is tomorrow. You need to relax and not be too nervous, okay?" Shouya said softly. 0

"Mm!" An Xin Ya nodded. Although she appeared calm on the surface, her heart was filled with mixed emotions at the thought of the upcoming surgery. 0

At noon, Shouya personally invited Jagana to a restaurant for Thai cuisine. 0

"During my time at the International Conference, what have you and Miss Shinya been up to?" Jagana asked teasingly, looking at Shouya with a knowing smile. 0

Everyone at the medical center was aware of the relationship between him and Miss Shinya. However, they were not so bored as to break that unspoken understanding. 0

"What can we do? Besides taking care of her, I also regularly check on her. Her emotions have been unstable lately; she’s probably feeling nervous and scared because of the surgery," Shouya replied, looking into Jagana's oddly smiling eyes. 0

"You're just making excuses! Stop hiding it from me. I've heard from people at the medical center that you often take Miss Shinya back to your private suite and frequently drive her out..." Jagana laughed and said, "Do you think that's how a doctor should treat a patient?" 0

"Well..." Surprised that Jagana knew about this, Shouya decided not to hide it any longer and admitted his relationship with An Xin Ya; he acknowledged that they were a couple. 0

Seeing him fully admit his relationship with An Xin Ya, Jagana didn't say much more. He raised an eyebrow and continued eating his coffee fish balls, which were quite tasty. 0

"Let me grab a coffee fish ball," Shouya quickly used his chopsticks to pick one from Jagana's bowl when he wasn't paying attention and popped it into his mouth, savoring it while exclaiming, "So delicious!" 0

At that moment, the waiter brought two bowls of soup, the famous Thai Tom Yum Soup, along with other Thai dishes. 0

Jagana looked at the table full of food. During the International Conference, he had been so busy for those five days that he hardly had a proper meal. Now that he was back, Shouya had specially invited him to enjoy such a delicious feast. 0

However, he still looked at Shouya in confusion and asked, "Why are you being so kind as to treat me to such a lavish meal?" 0

"Thank you for your hard work regarding Xinya's eye injury recently." Shouya raised a cup in place of a toast to express his gratitude. 0

"There's no need for that; it's not just my effort, there are other doctors involved too," Jagana replied. "Besides, you played a part in it as well; you were one of the lead surgeons in this operation." 0

Upon hearing this, Shouya suddenly set down his teacup, and his brow furrowed involuntarily. 0

Jagana noticed the fear and worry in Shouya's eyes. He reached out and patted his shoulder, saying, "I know that every doctor feels afraid of making mistakes before operating on a patient, but that thought is only temporary. As long as we are at the operating table, many lives can be saved, except for a few..." 0

Shouya lifted his eyes to look at Jagana. He understood that as a doctor, he must give his all and cannot compromise. 0

Jagana didn't want the oppressive atmosphere to linger between them, so he changed the subject and asked, "How did you meet Miss Shinya?" 0

The moment he saw such a sweet, pure, and beautiful woman, he was deeply captivated by her beauty. If Shouya and Shinya were not in a romantic relationship, he might have considered pursuing her. 0

However, it is said that doctors should not engage in relationships with their patients. 0

After finishing the Thai meal, they drove back to the medical center. On the way back, Shouya also bought some snacks for An Xin Ya. 0

Upon returning to the medical center, Shouya and Jagana walked into An Xin Ya's hospital room and saw her sitting on the bed reading a book for the visually impaired. 0

An Xin Ya heard footsteps, familiar footsteps that immediately made her recognize who it was. A smile spread across her face. "Brother Shouya, Dr. Jiegana, what brings you here?" 0

"Just came to check on you. You seem to be in good spirits today!" Jagana said with a smile. 0

Shouya walked over and placed the items he was holding on the counter. Looking at An Xin Ya, he said, "I just went out for a meal with Jagana and thought I’d come see you on the way back." 0

"What did you eat?" An Xin Ya asked with concern, as if she could smell the aroma of food in the air. 0

"Oh, we had..." 0

"Let me guess!" Before Shouya could finish, An Xin Ya jumped in. With her keen sense of smell, she could identify even the faintest scents. "Tom Yum Soup, and some Thai dishes..." 0

Jagana looked at her in astonishment as she guessed everything correctly, unable to help but admire her ability. He smiled and asked, "How did you know? Were you following us?" 0

"I'm blind; how could I follow you? I identified it by the scents on you," An Xin Ya said proudly. Although she couldn't see, she had smelled many foods before, and once she recognized a scent, she could tell what it was. 0

Shouya looked at An Xin Ya with gentle eyes and laughed heartily, praising her intelligence. He then turned to glance at Jagana. 0

"I have a surgery to perform today, so I won't disturb you two any longer!" Jagana understood and made a stylish gesture as he turned into the hospital corridor, leaving them alone since he didn't want to be a third wheel. 0

"Brother Shouya, what did you bring back that smells so good?" As Jagana's footsteps faded away, An Xin Ya finally asked Shouya. 0

"Well, I got your favorite shredded pork noodles. I wasn't sure if they would be as good as Grandma's. I wanted to get you some Tom Yum Soup too, but since you have surgery tomorrow, I thought it best for you to eat something lighter," Shouya said gently as he looked at her. He then took the shredded pork noodles from the counter, opened them up, and began to feed her. 0
