At that moment, Shouya arrived at the Yalai Café. As soon as he walked in, he saw An Xin Ya and Morina sitting by the window, chatting and sipping coffee together. Anger surged within him, and his face turned pale as he strode over.
"Xinya, did you receive the roses I sent you?" Morina looked at An Xin Ya with intense eyes. During this time, he had sent someone to investigate her address and ordered flowers from a florist to be delivered every day, along with a poem, hoping to win her heart.
"What? Your Highness, those roses were from you?" An Xin Ya looked at Morina incredulously, her brows furrowing. "Why did you send me flowers?"
"Because I..."
"Xinya..." A familiar voice rang out above her. An Xin Ya looked up to see Shouya, excitement bubbling inside her. He actually came! She thought he wouldn't show up. She had been upset with him, believing he was too busy with work to notice her existence, but it seemed he still cared.
"Brother Shouya, you're here!" An Xin Ya stood up, smiling sweetly at Shouya.
Shouya frowned at An Xin Ya and then shot a dark glare at Morina sitting at the table. He struggled to contain his inner fury and coldly asked, "Your Highness, what are you doing here?"
"I just happened to run into Xinya, so I came over to say hello and sat down for a little chat..." Morina felt displeased upon seeing Shouya's arrival but maintained a gentlemanly smile.
"Is that so? What a coincidence! Your Highness, please be more respectful in the future and stop eyeing other people's girlfriends." Shouya gritted his teeth and sneered. This man clearly had an interest in Xinya and wanted to take her from him. If he weren't the British Third Prince, Shouya would have thrown a punch and knocked him to the ground.
"Brother Shouya, how can you speak to Your Highness like that?" An Xin Ya stared at him in shock.
Morina kept his composure, raising an eyebrow with a smile but saying nothing. He knew very well that having coffee with Xinya had already angered Shouya and believed they would soon have a big argument.
This was exactly the scene he wanted to see; ideally, their relationship would fracture because of his presence. Then he could take advantage of the situation and pursue Xinya, convinced he could win her heart and claim her for himself.
"Xinya, come home with me..." Shouya said angrily while glaring at Morina and tightly gripping An Xin Ya's hand.
"Brother Shouya, what are you doing? Your Highness is here; please don't be so rude!" An Xin Ya frowned in confusion as she looked at him. What was wrong with him? How could he be so disrespectful to Your Highness? Why was he speaking to Your Highness in such an icy tone?
Her hand hurt from his grip as she struggled to break free, but he refused to let go. Then, in front of everyone in the café, he pulled her out of the café.
"Brother Shouya, let go, let go!" An Xin Ya struggled fiercely, but he refused to release her, gripping her tightly.
Shouya felt a surge of jealousy as he watched them together, enjoying coffee and chatting happily. He pulled her closer and stared directly at Xinya, saying, "I told you not to associate with him, to stay far away from him. Why are you still meeting him? Do you want to be a princess or something?"
With a loud slap, Xinya struck Shouya's face hard, glaring at him with tears in her eyes. "Are you crazy? You're busy with work every day, running around without a moment to spare. I ask you questions, but you never answer; you're always so secretive. I don't need you to be with me all the time, but at least let me know where you are. You could call me to chat, but lately, when I call you, you don't answer or even turn off your phone. What do you expect me to think?"
"Xinya, please let me explain," Shouya said, feeling guilty as he listened to her. His face burned with shame; he knew he shouldn't have acted so impulsively, but seeing her with Morina made him furious.
"I don't want to hear it! I don't want to hear anything!" An Xin Ya forcefully shook off his hand and ran across the street, hailing a taxi and jumping inside.
Shouya quickly chased after her but didn't catch up. Instead, he got into his own car and followed her home.
Once she arrived home, she immediately ran to her room, locked the door, and grabbed a suitcase. She began packing all her clothes and personal items into it, preparing to leave.
When Shouya returned home, he saw her carrying the suitcase down the stairs. Her appearance shocked him, and he rushed forward to grab her arm. "Xinya, where are you going?"
"Let go! I'm leaving this place! I'm going back to my grandmother's house and won't live with you anymore since you haven't been home these past few days," An Xin Ya said with red eyes.
Shouya realized she was serious and quickly snatched the suitcase from her hands. Seeing his unreasonable behavior made An Xin Ya so angry that she abandoned the suitcase and pushed him away before running outside.
Seeing this, Shouya dropped the suitcase and hurriedly ran after her, grabbing her tightly. "Xinya, please don’t do this! I know I was wrong; I shouldn’t have treated you like that..."
Xinya didn’t want to hear any of his explanations and struggled to break free from his grip. However, his hold was firm. In desperation, she bit down hard on his arm.
"Ah..." Shouya winced in pain and instinctively released his grip. Clutching his sore arm, he saw Xinya dash out the door. He endured the pain and chased after her but was too late; she had already jumped into a taxi and left.
"Xinya! What happened? Why are you crying?" Grandma An asked when she saw Xinya's tear-streaked face, filled with concern.
"Grandma..." Xinya said, heartbroken, as she hugged her grandmother tightly.
Knock, knock...
"Xinya, open the door!" came Shouya's voice from outside.
Xinya stood there in disbelief. Grandma An looked at her expression and then heard Shouya calling from outside. She knew that they had argued, and such things were unavoidable.
Just as Grandma An was about to go open the door, Xinya pulled her back and said angrily, "Grandma, don't open the door for him. I don't want to see him."
After saying that, she ran into her room, locked the door behind her, threw herself onto the bed, and buried her face in the blankets, crying loudly. How could he treat her like this? How could he not trust her? She had given him her body and heart; why did he still doubt her feelings?
Grandma An felt truly torn. Looking at the two children, she really didn't know what to do. But she couldn't just kick Shouya out! So she went to open the door and saw Shouya looking anxious.
"Grandma, where's Xinya?" Shouya asked as he walked in.
"She's in her room!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, Shouya quickly walked to Xinya's bedroom door, raised his hand, knocked on the door, and called out, "Xinya, please don't be like this. Open the door and let me explain. I didn't mean it that way. It's just that seeing you with Morina made me so angry that I lost control..."
"Go away! I don't want to see you! I don't want to hear your explanation!" came Xinya's voice from inside.
Shouya continued knocking on the door and talking to her, but she refused to open it. He couldn't just force his way in.
Standing beside them, Grandma An frowned as she watched the anxious and helpless Shouya. She couldn't help but sigh internally and walked up to him, saying, "She's really angry right now. No matter what you say, she won't listen. Just wait until she's calmed down before trying again."
"Yes, Grandma." Shouya felt that Grandma An was right, and it would be better to wait until she calmed down to talk. He nodded, glanced back at the closed door, then left the living room, said goodbye to his grandmother, and left the An family.
Yezi successfully gave birth to a boy named Kevin.
Faisal was naturally all smiles as he and Rafas discussed how to educate children.
Shouya sat nearby, but when he heard the two mention the word "child," he became particularly sensitive, his expression darkening. Recently, it seemed there had been some misunderstandings between him and Xinya, leading to a bit of tension; he hadn't seen Xinya for several days.
Yan Wushuang also found it strange that she hadn't seen Xinya and asked Brother Shouya about it. He learned that they had quarreled and there were just some misunderstandings. He didn't expect Morina to really shift her focus onto Xinya; no wonder Brother Shouya was feeling troubled.
An Xinya had been hiding at home lately, not wanting to go anywhere, and Shouya rarely came to find her. She was surely upset again due to work matters; he just didn't understand her.
That afternoon, she received a call from Yan Wushuang, inviting her out to talk and also to check out the designer clothing store opened by Annie Smith.
Xinya initially didn't want to go, but after Yan Wushuang insisted repeatedly, she reluctantly agreed.
"What happened between you and Brother Shouya? You both seem off lately; did you have a fight?" Yan Wushuang already knew about their situation but still asked knowingly, hoping Xinya would open up and feel better about it. She didn't want them to remain in a stalemate.
Mentioning Shouya made An Xinya feel a surge of resentment. Pouting, she said, "He never believes me. I just happened to run into Your Highness that day and invited him to sit down for a cup of coffee. But when he arrived, he spoke to Your Highness in such a terrifying tone and dragged me out of the café in front of everyone... We ended up having a huge argument on the street. He doesn't understand what I'm thinking or what I'm doing; he seems to have strong opinions about who I meet..."
"You can't blame Brother Shouya for that. The reason he's so angry is that he cares about you and is afraid someone will take you away from him," Yan Wushuang said as she held Xinya's hand. She had experienced similar situations herself.
