In the afternoon, Xinya leaned against Shouya's chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. Her fingers traced circles on him, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth as she said, "Brother Shouya, can you take me shopping tomorrow?"
"I don't have time tomorrow; I have important matters to attend to!" Shouya replied, wrapping his arms around her shoulders with a hint of apology in his tone.
"What are you so busy with? What could be so important? Can't you just spend one day with me? Not even for an hour?" Xinya pouted, feeling a pang of sadness in her heart; it was always like this.
Although she always tried to understand his perspective, he never seemed to consider hers.
"I'm going abroad for business tomorrow," Shouya said, reaching out to play with her hair. He lowered his head and inhaled the fragrance of her hair, speaking softly.
"Abroad? What business do you have?" Xinya jolted upright, looking at Shouya with curiosity.
"I'm handling something very important," Shouya replied gently, gazing into her eyes. He was going back to help Xinya find her biological parents. Recently, he had received information and leads from someone, but there seemed to be no clues; he had to go to China himself.
An Xin Ya pouted and lay back down on his chest, asking, "How long will you be gone this time?"
"I don't know. It could be two or three days, maybe a week, or even a month..." Shouya looked ahead uncertainly as he spoke.
An Xin Ya held him tightly and didn't say anything more because she didn't know what to say. He was busy with work while she spent most of her time practicing piano at Maria Music Training Class or visiting her grandmother or hanging out with Wushuang and Yezi. However, recently she had not been in a good mood; she was distracted during practice and decided to take a few days off from school.
Last time, when she went with Brother Shouya to New York for eye treatment, it lasted six months. She fell behind in many subjects and lost eligibility for several competitions.
Not hearing any response from her, Shouya leaned down and kissed her forehead, then moved down to her sweet lips, savoring her fragrant nectar and teasing her with his tongue as they intertwined.
Once again, they engaged in intense physical activity filled with heavy breathing and soft moans echoing in the air, filling the room with an ambiguous and decadent atmosphere.
However, this time Xinya felt nothing; there was no sense of euphoria as before. Instead, it brought a slight pain as she looked at the man embracing her. Sweat beaded on his body and forehead, dripping like water onto her face and body.
The next morning, he quickly packed up and gently kissed her smooth forehead before turning to leave.
An Xin Ya opened her eyes and stared blankly at the ceiling. The soft sunlight streamed in, illuminating her body and making her skin appear as white as snow.
Hearing the rumble of a car downstairs, she turned her eyes and sighed lightly in her heart, "I wonder when he will be back this time!"
"Ding dong..."
An Xinya heard someone ring the doorbell. Could it be Brother Shouya returning? She quickly rolled over, casually put on a nightgown, and hurried downstairs. As she opened the door and was about to call out "Shou," she was greeted by a large bouquet of bright red roses in front of her, vibrant and dripping with dew. It wasn't Brother Shouya; it was a staff member from the flower shop.
"Didn't I tell you not to send these anymore?" An Xinya clearly knew who had sent the flowers; they were from Your Highness Morina. Although the flowers were beautiful, she couldn't accept them because roses represented love, and she couldn't accept Morina's feelings.
"I'm sorry, but the person who ordered the flowers requested that we deliver them every day," the staff member said awkwardly.
"I don't want them; send them back!" An Xinya did not take the flowers from the staff member's hands, slammed the door shut, and walked into the open kitchen to pour herself a glass of water. She heard the staff member drive away and felt relieved. Since Brother Shouya couldn't accompany her today as he returned to the country, she decided to go practice piano. After freshening up and getting dressed, she opened the door only to be stunned by the sight of the roses placed at her doorstep, glistening with dew.
Feeling helpless yet unwilling to throw them away, she took them inside, found a vase, filled it with water, and arranged the flowers before finally leaving.
"Sister Anxi, why haven't I seen Uncle Shouya come to pick you up lately?" Yuga tilted her head as she looked at Xinya with a puzzled expression. "You two didn't have another argument, did you?"
Upon hearing Yuga's question, Xinya's beautiful lips curled slightly upward as she reached out to pat Yuga's head and smiled, "No, Uncle Shouya is very busy; he has important matters to attend to in China for a few days."
"Oh, I see!" Yuga exclaimed in realization.
As they chatted and laughed while walking out of Maria Music Training Class, they suddenly spotted a long luxury Rolls-Royce parked outside. Its opulence and grandeur drew everyone's attention.
Leaning against the car was a tall and handsome man wearing black sunglasses, holding a stunning bouquet of roses. In full view of everyone, he walked up to Xinya.
"Wang..."
Xinya widened her eyes in surprise as she recognized him immediately as Your Highness Morina. Before she could call out his name, he interrupted her by leaning closer to her ear and softly saying, "There are too many people here; don't call my name in front of everyone. Just call me Morina."
Xinya stood there in shock, glancing around as students from Maria Music were staring at them in astonishment, whispering among themselves with expressions of envy and jealousy.
She felt embarrassed and blushed deeply. How could Your Highness be here? How did he know she was practicing piano here?
"This flower is for you." Morina looked at the beautiful An Xinya in front of him, a graceful smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. His blue eyes sparkled with a crystalline light as he took her hand and kissed the back of it.
Xinya passively accepted the rose, her expression awkward as she lowered her eyelids and said, "Thank you."
Standing nearby, Yuga furrowed his brow as he watched the incredibly handsome man. Why was he giving roses to Sister Anxi? Did he have feelings for her and want to pursue her? What kind of relationship did they have?
"Get in the car! I'll drive you home," Morina said, unabashedly wrapping his arm around her shoulder in front of everyone. He guided her to the car, opened the door, and invited her to sit inside.
"Mr. Morina, I..." Xinya looked at the luxurious interior of the car and then raised her eyes to meet Morina's friendly smile. She wanted to politely decline his kindness, but he was Your Highness, and she feared that her words might hurt his pride.
"Xinya, please don't refuse me in front of everyone; it makes me look bad. If you consider me a friend, then let me take you home!" A hint of disappointment crossed Morina's eyes as he gazed into Xinya's clear and beautiful eyes, which sparkled like stars.
Xinya glanced back slightly, feeling a bit torn inside, but ultimately decided to get in.
Seeing her sit down, Morina's smile slowly widened as he entered the car, closed the door, and instructed the driver to start driving.
Xinya sat there holding the fragrant rose, feeling that the bright red petals were almost blinding. She received roses from the flower shop every morning—always the same red color—and along with them came different little poems each day.
Morina sat freely beside her, a slight smile on his lips and a sparkle in his eyes. He had learned that Shouya was currently in China on business and wouldn't be back in Las Vegas anytime soon. Seizing this opportunity, he aimed to win Xinya's heart and perhaps even take her away from Shouya.
It wasn't exactly stealing; after all, they were cohabiting without being married, so Xinya was still single. He naturally had a chance to compete for her affection. How could he easily give up on such a sweet, pure, and beautiful woman?
Having already lost Yan Wushuang, he vowed to pursue An Xinya and make her his princess.
"Your Highness, what are you doing here?" Xinya thought to herself that this couldn't be a coincidence; she knew very well that it was intentional. But since he was Your Highness, she didn't have the courage to expose his intentions.
"I know you're studying piano at Maria Music Training Class, so I came to see you," Morina said softly.
Hearing his gentle voice made Xinya feel even more awkward. Her heart trembled slightly as she dared not raise her head to look at Morina. The palm holding the flowers had already begun to sweat from nervousness; she felt somewhat at a loss. If Wushuang were by her side, she would surely help her out of this situation. Unfortunately, Wushuang was not there.
"Your Highness..."
"My name is Morina Windsor. You can just call me Morina from now on, don't call me Your Highness; I don't really know what that title means." Morina smiled lightly, turning to Xinya and saying, "Without the prince's aura, I'm just like an ordinary person; it's just that our responsibilities are different."
Seeing Morina's gentle demeanor without any airs of royalty, Xinya felt her nervousness ease a bit. She smiled back at him and then turned her attention to the rose in her hand, lost in thought.
Inside the spacious and bright Lincoln Car, silence fell once again...
Sitting next to the distinguished Your Highness made An Xin Ya feel anxious and uneasy. She was not good at speaking in front of unfamiliar people and usually remained silent. The atmosphere felt quite oppressive and sad to her.
"Xinya, if you don't mind, would you like to have a meal together?" Morina suddenly asked.
"Morina, thank you for your kindness, but I can't go to dinner with you; I still have many things to do!" Xinya politely declined Morina.
Her refusal was within his expectations.
Morina maintained his elegant smile and gentlemanly demeanor, as is typical of the English. He raised an eyebrow, realizing he couldn't press further, and said, "That's fine; you can take care of your matters first. We can talk about dinner another time!"
After all, pursuing someone shouldn't be too forceful; it might make her feel uncomfortable and think he had ulterior motives. So he chose to take it slow and steady.
Once they arrived home, the car stopped outside her front gate.
Xinya finally felt her tension and fear ease as she smiled at Morina and said, "Thank you for bringing me back!"
