Sitting in the central position at the top, Shouya understood the concerns in their hearts and empathized with their feelings. A strange smile appeared at the corner of his mouth as he slowly stood up and looked at the shareholders of the Bai Family, saying, "Do you know that Bai Jingyan had a daughter while he was alive..."
"Bai Jingyan had a daughter?" Upon hearing this, the shareholders erupted in confusion, exchanging puzzled glances and whispering among themselves.
"We had no idea that Chairman Bai had a daughter. As far as we know, Mrs. Bai had no children," said a plump man wearing glasses, his face shiny and round. The other shareholders nodded in agreement.
Thus, after the unfortunate plane crash that took both of their lives, all the inheritance naturally went to Chairman Bai's brother, Bai Jingsong. Although they understood what kind of person Bai Jingsong was, since the chairman had no children, his brother became the legal heir.
"The fact that the legitimate wife had no children does not mean that other women did not," Shouya observed the expressions on several shareholders' faces. He hadn't expected Bai Jingsong to be so clever, hiding everything so well that it seemed to have sunk into oblivion.
However, he thought he could deceive everyone without consequence. Little did he know that the little girl he sent to the orphanage had gradually grown up over time and was now searching for her biological parents.

The shareholders looked at him in surprise, unable to believe his words. One chubby man holding a cigar, with smoke curling from his mouth and nose, remained calm as he glanced sideways at Shouya standing in front of him. Even if the chairman truly has a daughter, you need to provide evidence to prove she is indeed his daughter for us to believe you!"
The other shareholders chimed in agreement.
Shouya remained composed, his expression cold as he looked at the group of shareholders. "Of course you didn't know that Bai Jingyan had a daughter back then because everything was secretly erased by Bai Jingsong. If he wanted to seize his brother's inheritance, how could he allow his brother's daughter to survive?"
"What? Are you saying that Bai Jingsong killed the chairman's daughter?" The crowd gasped. From what they knew, Bai Jingsong was indeed a notorious spendthrift who had accumulated massive debts over the years and nearly squandered all of Bai Group's assets. However, even if he was reckless, would he really be ruthless enough to kill his brother's daughter?
"He didn't kill her; he just took in a girl who had been raised for only a few months. The outside world knew nothing of her existence. Bai Jingsong bribed lawyers to alter the will and paid off all the household servants as hush money to ensure they wouldn't reveal that Bai Jingsong had a daughter. He then sent the infant girl to an orphanage."
The shareholders were skeptical. There had indeed been rumors about the chairman having an illegitimate daughter back then; after all, as chairman, rumors about him were rampant. But after the plane crash, those rumors faded away, and everyone gradually forgot.
"You have been with the Bai Family for so many years; what benefits have you received?" Shouya asked with a half-smile as he looked at everyone. They were all veterans of Bai Group who had worked alongside Bai Jingyan. He continued, "Since Bai Jingsong took over Bai Group, the company's stock has plummeted. It is said that in recent years there have been significant losses; it’s quite serious and could face bankruptcy at any moment. When that happens, you won't get a single penny!"
This seemed to strike a chord with the shareholders; in fact, some of them wanted to withdraw their shares, but Bai Jingsong would not allow them to do so under any circumstances.
The shareholders began to whisper among themselves. After this meeting, they started to stir, considering selling their shares to Mokani. However, they did not explicitly say they would sell their shares to Mokani; instead, they mentioned that they needed to think it over and would get back to him.
Shouya respected their wishes because he knew that before long, they would sell their shares to Mokani and flock to his side.
At that point, Bai Jingsong would be left to fight alone, like a fox that had fallen off a cliff into an abyss, shattering into pieces.
However, he would not let Bai Jingsong die so quickly; he would let him taste a bit of sweetness first, then launch a surprise attack that would leave him at a loss and inexplicably end up in prison.
That day, Shouya was in high spirits as he took An Xinya to explore the Beijing Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Great Wall, having a wonderful time. Despite seeing Xinya in a constant state of sadness, he made sure to take time out of his busy schedule to accompany her for some fun.
"One is not a true hero until they reach the Great Wall; it's a journey of twenty thousand miles!" Standing on the magnificent Great Wall, An Xinya wore a beautiful long dress and a lovely white hat. With her arms outstretched, she smiled and said this.
The wind here was strong, causing her dress to flutter.
Dressed in simple casual attire, Shouya wore a light smile as he watched An Xinya. Accompanying her for a stroll was nice; it allowed him to see her smile shine like sunlight on her face.
Shouya had also brought along a camera specifically to capture her smiles, her figure, and her beauty in photographs.
After walking along the Great Wall, they wandered through the streets and alleys of Beijing. An Xinya was like a curious child; whenever she saw something unusual or interesting, she would tug at Shouya and ask questions. Shouya patiently explained everything to her. She even took out some money to buy exquisite and beautiful accessories to take home.
After a full day of fun, they enjoyed some local specialties before returning to the Beijing Millennium Hotel. An Xinya collapsed onto the bed with sore muscles and closed her eyes to rest. However, she felt very happy today as she experienced the cultural scenery of Beijing.
Shouya went into the bathroom to wash his face. When he came out and saw An Xinya lying on the bed, he couldn't help but chuckle. She looked like a joyful little angel; because of her presence, his world became so vibrant and wonderful.
He walked to the bedside and sat beside her, his gaze gentle as water, smiling slightly without saying a word, thoughtfully reaching out to massage her.
An Xin Ya comfortably enjoyed it, a satisfied and sweet smile appearing at the corners of her mouth as she said, "Brother Shouya, you are so good to me!"
"You are my woman; if I don't treat you well, who else would I treat well?" Shouya said softly while continuing to massage her.
Hearing this, An Xin Ya suddenly opened her eyes wide and sat up straight, looking directly at him and asking, "Tell me, before you met me, did you ever like any other women?"
Shouya was momentarily taken aback; he didn't expect Xinya to suddenly ask him this question. Looking into her watery big eyes, he couldn't bear to deceive her and smiled as he said, "If I said I never liked any other women, that would definitely be a lie..."
An Xin Ya widened her eyes at him; he really had liked other women. Thinking of this made her expression somewhat unpleasant as she pouted and turned away from him, feeling a surge of jealousy rise within her.
"If we're talking about true love, besides you, there is no one else. Xinya, you are the one I love the most." Shouya gently grasped her shoulders and whispered in her ear. He indeed had liked another woman—Yan Wushuang—but that was merely admiration for her beauty. Since meeting Xinya, he truly understood what love meant.
A blush spread across her face like ripples in water. An Xin Ya leaned into his embrace and shyly said, "Brother Shouya, when did you become so smooth-talking? I don't like smooth-talking men."
She acted coyly; women often enjoy being contradictory and love to hear sweet words from their lovers. She was no exception.
He was right; if he claimed to have never liked anyone else, that would be a lie. Xinya wasn't angry because he was open with her and had no intention of deceiving her.
Shouya held her tightly without speaking, resting his chin on top of her head, the dark and soft strands of hair carrying a faint scent of lavender.
"Brother Shouya, I have only loved one person from beginning to end, and that is you." An Xin Ya confessed her true feelings shyly.
Shouya gently turned her body towards him. As they gazed deeply into each other's eyes, hearing her say this filled him with immense happiness. He softly replied, "Xinya, I will love you for a lifetime. Please believe me; I will make you happy and give you a happy family."
She believed that being with Shouya and having everything she needed was the happiest thing in her life.
As their feelings deepened, Shouya couldn't help but lower his head to kiss her cherry lips, soft and warm. He easily slipped his tongue past her pearly teeth, boldly entering her mouth, nibbling on her tongue while inviting hers to play with his.
An Xin Ya felt herself blush from his kiss. At first, she resisted, but gradually she began to respond to him. Although they had kissed countless times and shared intimate moments, she still felt shy each time.
Shouya could clearly sense her body trembling, and this tremor only fueled his desire.
"Don't..." An Xin Ya suddenly pushed him away, her face flushed as she averted her gaze, her cherry lips reddened from his kisses.
"Why not?" Shouya furrowed his brow, looking at her with confusion in his eyes.
"I... I..." An Xin Ya was even more embarrassed, awkwardly saying, "I started my period, so I'm really sorry for tonight."
He had already reacted and needed someone to help relieve his tension. Hearing her say this made Shouya feel disappointed; he realized he would have to wait another week to be with her, which was unbearable!
Seeing the expression on his face, An Xin Ya shyly said, "Then, what will you..."
"It's fine. I'll just take a cold shower," Shouya replied, kissing her cheek with a slight smile. He had endured difficult days like this before; usually, he would either take a cold shower or distract himself.
He got up and walked into the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and cool water sprayed from the showerhead, flowing over his body and alleviating the fiery heat within him.
After finishing his shower, he emerged wearing a white bathrobe and saw that An Xin Ya was already lying in bed with her eyes closed, peacefully asleep. Perhaps she was too tired from playing today and also feeling drained from her period.
