Upon returning home, I took a hot shower, changed into my pajamas, drank a cup of warm milk, and plopped onto the bed, instantly falling into a deep sleep.
When I opened my eyes again, it was dusk, and the streetlights were just coming on.
My mind felt hazy as I turned on the TV, which was playing a live performance by EXO.
They looked really cool.
"Wow!" I exclaimed unconsciously, recalling the moment I encountered Park Chan-yeol at the convenience store. A dreamy scene flashed in my mind: wearing a beautiful long dress, spinning in the center of a dance floor, while Chan-yeol approached in a white suit, holding a rose... I was lost in that thought.
"Hey! What are you doing, Anna Zheng?" Suddenly, Lee Kwang-soo's face and voice appeared out of nowhere, jolting me back to reality. There was no long dress, no dance floor, and certainly no white prince... and of course, no Lee Kwang-soo!
I quickly shook my head and looked around. It seemed I was just too tired; my brain must be malfunctioning. I switched channels to find a rerun of last week's Running Man.
I grabbed some ointment and applied it to my hands while watching the show.
I wondered when I could create a show like Running Man or Infinite Challenge. When that time comes, I would definitely invite Yoo Jae-suk to host it and make it a top variety show. I took out my computer; my right hand hurt too much, so I only typed with my left hand, starting to outline the show of my dreams.
Ding~
A text message came in. Picking it up to read: "Meet at Zhong Sports Stadium at 8 AM the day after tomorrow. The guest will be Yoo Hyun Jin. In the evening, EXO members will make a special appearance. The game process for the writers has been sent to your emails; please review it beforehand."
"Another EXO?" Anna muttered to herself, thinking that they had mentioned several times recently that they would be participating in RUNNING MAN.
Putting down her phone, Lee Kwang-soo on the show began to betray again. Anna smiled, as everyone thought that Kim Jong Kook and Yoo Jae-suk's reactions to betrayal were staged. In reality, during the filming, it became clear that they truly felt a mix of love and hate towards Kwang-soo's betrayals, feeling helpless. Anna recalled the young Lee Kwang-soo, who was just a middle school student back then, sporting hair like Kangta's. He would often be punished by Mother Kwang-soo to stand at the door, his school uniform covered in various doodles, chewing gum, tall and thin. Yet, there were always pretty older girls who came to play with him. Indeed, Anna also loved to chase after Kwang-soo back then, but because she was too young, he would often dismiss her and send her home.
Fortunately, the current Lee Kwang-soo was no longer as annoying as before; he had become the 'Asian Prince.' Anna wondered if those girls would be shocked if they knew how he used to be.
Opening her email, she found that the message had indeed arrived. The game was specially designed based on Yoo Hyun Jin's identity as a baseball player. It seemed to draw inspiration from Park Ji-sung's Super Power Football but added many new elements. EXO would appear during the Chase Battle at night, with rounds lasting ten minutes each, switching between offense and defense, with the last survivor declared the winner.
Anna looked at her hands and applied some ointment, hoping to recover quickly; otherwise, it would affect her work. As she glanced at the instructions on the medicine box, Anna suddenly remembered:
Right, who took her notebook last night?
Finally able to calm down and think about this matter, she realized that since they were all staff members, if someone accidentally took it without noticing at the time, they would return it later.
However, her notes had completely disappeared.
Was it done on purpose?
In just a few days, who had Anna offended? She couldn't figure it out herself. Was it Park Soo Eun? Or someone else?
Park Soo Eun had made things difficult for her, but there were others in the Task Force who didn't like Anna either.
Anna sighed. After all, it was her own lack of ability that led to criticism.
The road ahead for her dream as a program producer was still long.
Knock, knock, knock~~
A series of knocks sounded at the door. Anna wondered who would come to see her at this time.
"Who is it?" Anna asked, peering through the peephole. She saw a familiar figure and trembled slightly.
Time seemed to freeze; even lifting her hand took all her strength. Was it an illusion? Would everything disappear if she opened the door?
She slowly opened the door, afraid it might vanish again.
A familiar face gradually came into view.
"I'm back," came the familiar call.
Tears fell instantly. "Andy."
