General Jiang's impending sentencing quickly became known to the Celestial Warriors. An Xiaotian was the first to leave the backstage, talking on the phone with Instructor Zhang to inquire about the specifics while quickly heading downstairs, deliberately avoiding other staff in the hall, and finding his way into a nearby storage room. 0

The others closely followed him, gradually gathering in the spacious storage room. An Xiaotian hung up the phone, sighed, and stared blankly at the crowd outside the storage room. 0

"Is it today?" Qin Weishan asked. "I mean, is the sentencing today?" 0

"No, it's currently facing prosecution; the first trial hasn't started yet," An Xiaotian replied. 0

"Then why did you run so fast? We all thought you were going out to save someone," Qin Weishan said, relaxing and leaning against a nearby wall. 0

Hearing Qin Weishan mention "saving someone," An Xiaotian slapped his palm: "Exactly! We must rescue General Jiang! Let me explain the situation: General Jiang has been detained and is not allowed to return to M City Military Base. Remember the Hydrogen Bomb crisis? Without General Jiang's help, we would have already been blown up by the Hydrogen Bomb! Those people are accusing him of 'seriously interfering with military defense' and have filed a lawsuit against him because he disobeyed military orders to buy us time for survival." 0

"Damn!" Lu Sha exclaimed indignantly, crossing his arms. "General Jiang saved us, and now he’s facing sentencing? How is that fair?" 0

"But they don't care who he saved; they only know he ruined their plans," Jiao An said, opening a holographic screen on her watch and searching for something. "Legally speaking, we are indeed at fault; General Jiang's charges can really be established." 0

"Don't they know we were fighting down there? And there are still refugees at the military base," Xu Yicheng recalled. 0

"Those higher-ups only care about wrapping things up quickly; who cares about one person's life? Besides, they don't believe we can succeed," Jiao An stated, revealing a harsh reality. "Those who hold information can simply declare that we all heroically sacrificed ourselves in battle after blowing us up and hastily arrange a funeral for us. As long as they don’t say anything, no one will know what really happened; everything can be covered up." 0

"In their eyes, one Hydrogen Bomb can solve everything—just six of us dead—and it can make them famous after the war. Why wouldn't they want that? Those in power always think about expanding their already substantial benefits and then mock and direct those who seem inferior to them." 0

Sister Jiao An's words were heavy, and everyone present fell silent for a moment before An Xiaotian spoke up: "It's absurd. Liu Xuan, you and Dr. Xu go up and host the press conference for now. At least we need to wrap this up. Sister Jiao An can gather more information; we need her expertise, so you take her place for now." 0

"Okay." Liu Xuan nodded silently at the door and walked out with Xu Yicheng. 0

"If the Hydrogen Bomb had really exploded back then, I don’t even know if it could have destroyed the Zombie Queen's protective barrier. If we got blown up, who would face the internal Human on the moon?" An Xiaotian lamented while pinching his brow. 0

"So what's our plan?" Lu Sha asked. "Are we going through legal procedures to get the general released?" 0

"The chances of success with that approach are too low," Jiao An analyzed. "Because General Jiang's charges completely align with his actions." 0

"Then let's take action!" Lu Sha waved his hand angrily. "We can't let General Jiang go to jail! I've been inside; prison is no fun at all." 0

"This... is even less acceptable," Qin Weishan said. "If we do that, we might all end up being sentenced." 0

"Oh come on! What do you suggest we do?" Lu Sha said in frustration after her two ideas were dismissed by her teammates, pouting as she looked out at the sparrows outside. 0

"Calm down, Sasa," An Xiaotian replied without outright opposing her idea. "Sister Jiao An, can you investigate who filed the lawsuit? I need to know when the court date is." 0

"It usually takes about a month from filing to court date," Jiao An searched and asked, "Why do you need to know?" 0

"Because it might really require doing what Lu Sha suggested..." An Xiaotian raised his fist. "Let's take action!" 0

At the press conference site, Xu Yicheng and Liu Xuan stood on stage continuing their presentation. Since not everyone was present, Xu Yicheng skipped the introduction and began explaining alien civilizations to the media cameras. 0

"First, you must believe that Alien Life exists, and they live on our neighboring planet—the Moon." 0

Upon hearing this, the reporters in the audience erupted into a commotion, the noise echoing for a long time. Xu Yicheng intentionally paused his explanation, allowing the crowd to gradually quiet down before clearing his throat and continuing, "Some of you may have already guessed that the attack on the Military base in City S three years ago was carried out by them. However, let me clarify that not all Moon People are invaders; in front of you is a friend of Earth..." 0

The flickering white lights in the audience followed Xu Yicheng's gaze, and their cameras turned towards a boy who appeared to be a university student standing at the edge of the stage. 0

"That's right, he is a member of our alliance, named Liu Xuan. Why do I say he is an ally from the Moon? Because within him resides a Moon Person." 0

Another wave of gasps arose from the audience. Liu Xuan was indeed trying hard to smile at the camera, but the incessant flashing lights were very unkind to his eyes; he could only squint slightly while managing his screen and maintaining his smile. 0

"Mr. Liu Xuan, could you please tell us in detail how you came to be like this?" 0

"Mr. Liu Xuan! What does it feel like to share a body with an alien every day?" 0

Xu Yicheng suddenly found himself no longer the focus of media attention; everyone's gaze shifted to Liu Xuan. 0

Having never encountered such a scene before, Liu Xuan's eyes darted around, avoiding the media cameras. Faced with a barrage of questions, he felt that answering any one of them would be disrespectful to the others, which left him flustered. 0

"Alright everyone, these questions are not within the scope of what we are explaining today." Xu Yicheng stepped beside Liu Xuan, waving his hand at countless cameras while placing his arm around Liu Xuan's shoulder, skillfully helping him out of the situation. "The Moon Person inside him is named Nars, who is also our team's weapons and technology expert and plays a crucial role in our team. We cannot disclose any further information." 0

"Then may I ask Mr. Xu Yicheng, eyewitnesses on-site reported seeing a giant stone figure with green markings fighting alongside you. Which member is that? Can we meet them?" A female reporter squeezed to the front and asked Xu Yicheng. 0

"Oh, that is..." Xu Yicheng recalled what Aibo had told him. He wanted to share Aibo's story with the media to gain people's trust. However, since Aibo was currently living with the Spirit Corps, revealing too much information about him would compromise their secrets. After a moment of silence, he explained to the media cameras: "He is the last remaining Stone Giant on our planet. I named him Aibo. They were once part of a mysterious race... Yes, you are correct; those giants from folklore are indeed them..." 0

Liu Xuan chose an appropriate moment during Xu Yicheng's speech to place his hands on his abdomen and remain still. He gazed at the flickering lights in the audience as Xu Yicheng's voice gradually faded away, and his thoughts slowly drifted far away... 0

After this zombie war, he hadn't thought about visiting his beloved Ma Yihan. Perhaps it was because he was too exhausted from just returning from battle; every day he only wanted to lie in bed. During those days, watching birds fly down from branches only to take off again felt like happiness in life. 0

Through many video calls with Ma Yihan, she sent him New Year blessings. Each time, Liu Xuan would share his experiences on the battlefield with her, but despite his humorous storytelling, she always ended up crying for him through the screen. 0

In these days following the war's end, Liu Xuan had never felt so grateful for having Ma Yihan's love; his inner emotions shifted from anticipation to an unstoppable longing. He loved Ma Yihan so much; they had been together for two years now. She had never doubted his commitment to return safely nor had she distanced herself or betrayed him due to their prolonged separation. 0

Ma Yihan was the warmest harbor in Liu Xuan's heart; every seemingly hopeless journey felt conquerable with her support behind him. 0

The blinding flashes in his vision no longer seemed so dazzling; it was as if Liu Xuan had lost his senses entirely, appearing particularly dazed in front of the camera. The whispers among reporters seemed to remind him of where he was; his slanted air bangs drooped down due to his slowly lowering head, blocking part of his view. Suddenly plunged into darkness jolted him awake as he felt a strong vibration from his pocket. Only then did he realize his phone was ringing. He gestured towards a passionately speaking Xu Yicheng, then lowered his head and quickly walked backstage. 0

"Hello?" 0

"What are you doing, darling?" 0

That word "darling" made Liu Xuan's heart melt; he recognized it as Ma Yihan's voice and softly replied as if caressing her head with his voice: "I'm in a meeting; what's up, baby?" 0

"I know you're in a meeting." Ma Yihan giggled as she lay on her bed watching the live broadcast on TV. "I called to remind you! If you can fall asleep while standing on stage in such an occasion, I can only say oh my god, my boyfriend is truly talented! Hahaha..." 0

"Oh oh, hehe... I just zoned out thinking about you," Liu Xuan defended himself. 0

"I don't believe you at all, you smelly man," Ma Yihan pouted, swinging her feet. 0

"Babe, how did it go with what I asked you to do?" Liu Xuan inquired, recalling something. 0

"Well, I went to see her. I even took a shower before heading out just to meet Miss Ming," Ma Yihan replied. "The young lady is almost fully recovered and should be discharged soon. I sent her an invitation, along with Yang Meng! But Mengmeng might not be able to come; she's quite busy at the Satellite Bureau." 0

"That's good to hear," Liu Xuan explained. "Nars had a feeling something would happen to General Jiang, which is why he asked you to get in touch with Ming Juan." 0

"Is there a connection between the two? Isn't it just an invitation for her to come to the base for the festival?" Ma Yihan asked, puzzled. 0

"She probably won't be able to come to the base either," Liu Xuan said. "They definitely won't go through legal channels to rescue General Jiang, so I need to find another place for everyone to regroup." 0
