The officer beside him was aggressively interrogating him. Seeing that he wasn't responding, he slammed the table in anger and scolded him.
But no matter how emotional or loud he became, Qin Xinyi only said one thing throughout, "I want to hire a lawyer."
"A lawyer?" The interrogator scoffed as if he had heard a joke.
"Do you even know what your status is right now? You are a murderer!"
"What qualifications does a murderer have to hire a lawyer?!"
With a loud bang, the door to the interrogation room was thrown open.
Hearing the noise, both people inside turned to look. Qin Xianxin's tall figure stood at the doorway of the interrogation room, his deep eyes coldly staring at the interrogator, devoid of any warmth.
The interrogator felt a chill run down his spine under that gaze and momentarily forgot to speak.
He slowly began to speak, his voice chillingly cold.
"First, the case has not been solved yet; you can only refer to him as a suspect. Second, when a suspect is detained, they have the right to hire a lawyer for legal assistance."
He sneered, "You don't even understand these basic things and still dare to be a police officer, interrogating my person."
"Hmph, you must be tired of living."

The police officers in the station were taken aback to find that the detained person was Qin Xian's relative, leaving them all flustered and at a loss.
Qin Xian sat leisurely on a simple sofa in the duty room, slowly flipping through all the case materials.
He appeared very casual, his expression calm and unperturbed.
Yet, those present felt a chill rising from their feet, an inexplicable coldness enveloping them.
The matter involved too many people, even attracting the attention of superiors. After receiving orders, the director hurried to the police station in the middle of the night.
As soon as he got out of the car, he saw a large group of men in black standing solemnly at the entrance.
Such a display could only be for that person.
Thinking about it, he couldn't help but shiver. What on earth was going on?
Unfortunately, this task had fallen on him. If handled well, it would be fine; if not... sigh.
He quickly walked past the group of men in black and entered the police station.
Meanwhile, Qin Xian had finished reviewing the case files and statements, grasping the general sequence of events.
His cousin had helped a girl named Lu Qisheng kill her father, Lu Gang.
Lu Gang was sent to a nearby hospital but died due to excessive blood loss before timely rescue could be administered.
The situation had suddenly become complicated, involving a human life.
Qin Xian knew that given his cousin's character—having never fought with anyone since childhood—there was no way he could suddenly get into a brawl that led to someone's death.
There were doubts everywhere regarding this matter.
Yet, his brother adamantly denied everything, insisting on taking all the blame upon himself.
Qin Xian furrowed his brows, looking displeased.
"Qin Shao, you have arrived," the portly director said as he entered the room, a broad smile on his face as he fawned over Qin Xian. "It is an honor to have you here; please forgive my inadequate welcome."
Qin Xian couldn't be bothered to respond to his flattery and merely nodded lightly.
"I already know why Qin Shao is visiting today," the director said, turning to a shy young woman standing in front of the office. "Come here, Little Deng, bring the documents and notes for Qin Shao to review."
Qin Xian replied calmly, "No need, I've already seen them."
"Then... what are your thoughts, Qin Shao?" the director asked hesitantly.
Qin Xian lazily leaned back on the sofa and said, "You are more knowledgeable about this than I am; share your perspective."
"Oh, Qin Shao really puts me in a difficult position," he said with a smile, signaling for everyone else to discreetly leave the room, leaving only Qin Xian and himself.
He walked up to Qin Xian with a grin. "Then I will respectfully follow your lead."
"In my opinion, the young master has gotten himself into quite a mess this time. There are two witnesses at the scene, and the murder weapon was found in his hand."
"The evidence is conclusive; it seems the young master cannot escape this charge."
"However," he lowered his voice, "if the other party is willing to settle privately, then this matter could be handled differently."
Qin Xian toyed with his phone without raising his eyes and asked, "What is the other party's attitude?"
Director Wang shook his head. "I don't know yet. However, from what I've gathered, this mother and son duo are greedy and lecherous. If we approach them from both angles, things might become simpler."
Qin Xian lifted his gaze, his voice steady without a hint of emotion. "Then let Director Wang handle this matter. I will ensure that you are rewarded once it is resolved."
Director Wang quickly smiled and waved his hand, "It is my honor to work for Qin Shao, there is no need for any reward."
Qin Xian raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Meanwhile, Director Wang wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, finally feeling relieved.
As long as this formidable figure was satisfied and did not cause them trouble, that was enough; who would dare ask for a reward?
Was he trying to get himself killed?
At one in the morning, Qin Xian bailed Qin Xinyi and Lu Qisheng out of the police station.
All the way, Qin Xian maintained a cold expression and did not say a word.
His oppressive aura frightened Lu Qisheng so much that he did not dare to breathe heavily. He could only try to stay close to Qin Xinyi, tightly holding his hand.
At the hospital.
Although the wounds had been simply bandaged at the police station, some injuries still needed thorough examination and proper treatment.
Under the watchful eyes of a group of bodyguards, the doctor trembled as he treated Qin Xinyi's wounds. Due to their intimidating presence, the doctor occasionally shook nervously, causing Qin Xinyi to gasp in pain.
One of the bodyguards nearby noticed and scolded, "Do you even know what you're doing?"
The doctor jumped in fright, making his movements even more careless.
"Hiss..."
The bodyguard stepped forward, wanting to teach him a lesson.
"Get lost!"
Qin Xian sat to the side, coldly uttering a single word from her thin lips.
The bodyguard quickly bowed his head in apology, not daring to say another word, and hurriedly walked out.
Qin Xian observed him with cold eyes and scoffed, "You're a man; what does this little pain count for? Endure it, and don't even frown."
Upon hearing this, Qin Xinyi clenched his teeth, trying hard to suppress the pain that felt like needles stitching through him.
When Lu Qisheng entered the room, he heard Qin Xian's cold mocking voice.
"You dare to fight and even kill; you've got some guts."
"After killing someone, you leave behind evidence. Do you have no brain?"
Qin Xinyi lowered his head, not daring to respond.
Qin Xian laughed coldly, as if utterly disappointed in him.
"You're so stupid that I can't save you."
"Pack your things tonight; report to the prison tomorrow."
With that, she stood up, and a large group of people turned to follow her.
"Wait!"
Lu Qisheng rushed out from behind the door, panting heavily as he said, "I killed the person; it has nothing to do with Xin Yi. Don't take him to prison."
"Sheng Sheng!" Qin Xinyi shouted.
"Did you kill him?" Qin Xian stared deeply at her and asked.
"Yes! I killed him, I smashed the beer bottle on him..."
"Sheng Sheng, didn't we agree on this?" Qin Xin interrupted her, not allowing her to continue.
Lu Qisheng shook his head, tears falling down.
He was the person who treated her the best in this world, the one who made her feel warmth, the one who brought her joy and happiness.
How could she bear to let him suffer in prison because of her?
She sniffed, organized her emotions, and told him everything about the incident without any concealment.
During this time, Qin Xinyi attempted to rush over multiple times but was intercepted by the bodyguards.
"Hero saving the beauty?"
