The young lady smiled and gently patted my head, saying, "Silly child, I am your father's biological sister." 0
"How is that possible!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide in disbelief. 0
She laughed and pulled me into her embrace, acting like an adult. 0
Her voice was filled with sadness as she said, "Why is it not possible?" 0
"I was also harmed by them." 0
"What?!" I looked up at her, unable to believe it. "Sister, you're lying to me, right?" 0
She shook her head, her eyes becoming moist. 0
"How could I lie to you?" 0
"I was killed many years ago by my dad and my uncle." 0
The young lady told me that back then, people's views were still very outdated. 0
Boys were considered the treasures of the family, while girls were seen as worthless, only fit to marry off for a bride price. 0
When she was born, both of her brothers were already quite grown. 0
Her parents were very disappointed because she was not the boy they had hoped for. 0
As a result, after her birth, she was subjected to constant abuse. 0
Her two brothers could eat their fill and wear warm clothes, attend the best schools, and enjoy the finest meals. 0
But she could only eat leftovers and wear the old clothes discarded by her brothers. 0
She was very understanding; she never complained and silently accepted everything. 0
She thought that if she was obedient enough, her parents would come to like her. 0
But she was still too naive. 0
Her parents never liked her at all. 0
When she was nine years old, her two brothers pushed her into a dry well. 0
They made her stay down there and wouldn’t let her come up. 0
She was very scared and cried out, begging her brothers to let her go up. 0

However, the two older brothers not only did not help her but also urinated into the well and mocked her. The little aunt cried very sadly and shouted loudly. She hoped her parents would come to rescue her. But her parents just sat nearby, watching the two brothers do all of this. They not only did not stop them but encouraged the two brothers instead. They said that the little aunt was worthless anyway and was just a waste of food at home. It would be better if she died sooner, saving one mouth to feed. Hearing this, the little aunt cried even harder. She pleaded with her parents to save her, promising that she would behave well in the future. However, her parents merely snorted coldly and turned back into the house. 0

The little aunt stayed in the dry well for several days and starved to death. After hearing her story, I felt extremely scared. I thought I was living a miserable life. But compared to the little aunt, I was already very fortunate. At least I was still alive. 0

"Er Ya, do you want to know how I finally got out?" 0

"Later, my aunt heard from others that dead people could make money, so she urged my uncle to pull me up." 0

"By then, I had already been dead for over ten years, and your uncle had grown up and gotten married." 0

"Your uncle thought I brought bad luck and didn't want to deal with me. However, your aunt kept nagging him." 0

"Eventually, they decided to dig open the buried dry well and retrieve me." 0

"I still remember that they put new clothes on me, placed me in a wooden box, and sent me to someone else's home." 0

Leaning against my dear little aunt, recalling what happened that night made me feel even sadder. It turned out that like my dear little aunt, I was also hated by my family and bullied to death by them. 0

After we die, we still have to earn one last sum of money for them. 0
"Aunt, let's run away." 0
"Let's leave this place, leave these people." 0
I remembered that many girls from the village had gone far away to work. 0
I had secretly gone to see them when they left. 0
