They carried bags and held luggage, walking together in small groups. Their faces were adorned with smiles, as if they were very happy. 0

"There are so many girls here who have gone far away to work." 0

"They come back every year for the New Year, bringing us delicious food and beautiful clothes." 0

"I want to go with them too," I said hopefully. 0

My aunt looked at me, her eyes filled with sadness. But she understood me. 0

"Er Ya, you are still young and know very little," she said. "You don't understand; those older sisters will eventually come back." 0

"When the time comes, their parents will arrange a suitable family for them and marry them off." 0

"You don't know how many tears of girls are buried in the fields outside the village, or how many of their bones." 0

I couldn't understand my aunt's words. But I knew she wouldn't lie to me. 0

Suddenly, my aunt became excited. 0

"Er Ya, I have thought of a way." 0

"We can take those suffering sisters away and bring those bad people along too." 0

My aunt was determined to act. During the day, we stayed hidden in the house, not wanting to disturb her rest. At night, we ventured out under the cover of darkness. 0

My aunt would transform into the appearance of other girls, going to other people's homes or into their dreams. She would tell them that their daughters had already died. She would make them believe that if they dug up their family graves, they would see the truth. 0

I will keep watch at the door. 0
This job is fun and exciting. 0
We rescued our sister from the ground and took her to see the outside world, heading off to distant places together. 0
However, after several busy nights, no one went to dig up graves. 0
Aunt was angry. 0
The villagers noticed Aunt's presence and went to find the shaman. 0
The shaman pretended to be mystical and tricked them out of their money. 0
We stood by and watched, not scared at all. 0
We are now free and can go anywhere we want. 0
"Hmph, you dare to bully our Er Ya, just wait!" 0
"Tonight, I will take Er Ya out for some fun." 0
Aunt took me and brought back two babies from the ditch in Village West. 0
We brought back a sister from the ground. 0
This sister was killed by someone; they sealed her in someone else's grave. 0
She is a bit older than me, but she is not a decisive person. 0
Aunt is our backbone. 0
We crossed our arms and watched the adults holding children, crying and shouting, rolling on the ground. 0
We found it very amusing. 0
"Letting you bully me, hmph!" 0
Aunt was very happy. 0
I held onto Aunt's arm as we headed home. 0
Just as we reached the door, we saw Dad squatting there. 0
He seemed to be waiting for a phone call. 0

"I don't care where you buy her, I want a girl." 0
"Preferably around thirteen or fourteen, someone who can work." 0
"I can offer five thousand; I can't go any higher." 0
"No, no, no, she doesn't need to be too pretty, just able to have children." 0
"No, no, no, I don't want a son; sons are useless." 0
"Alright, I'll wait for your news." 0
Dad hung up the phone. 0
I took a step back. 0
Dad stood up, brushed off the dirt from his legs, and turned to walk home. 0
As he walked, he said, "Life is unbearable; once I have a new Daughter-in-law, I'll divorce her and let her take those two Girls and get lost!" 0
Later, Dad did not marry a new Daughter-in-law. 0
Mom and my sister, along with Sister, also couldn't leave home. 0
However, that night, they still died. 0
