There were simply too many people during the day, so I could only unplug the USB Drive and leave.
Bai Qing remotely erased the surveillance traces from when I entered the inner room.
I only managed to download two months' worth of surveillance footage, specifically the most recent videos in reverse chronological order.
But that should be enough for me to draw for a while.
During the day, I clean at a night club.
At night, I return to my rented room to watch videos and draw comics.
In the videos, Shen Jing spends most of his time in the office, aside from business matters.
Sometimes he leans back on the sofa in the inner room, drinking and smoking while lost in thought.
He can sit there for an entire day.
It's a bit strange.
But just seeing that sofa makes me blush.
We have slept on it before.
When Shen Jing first came out of the comic and was about to kill me, I quickly came up with a lie, telling him I was Bai Man.
This "Manman" is a dark reason I assigned to Shen Jing.
Manman was the only girl who brought him light and hope before he fell into darkness.
The eighteen-year-old girl fell off a cliff while trying to save Shen Jing from being pursued by enemies. The two exchanged heartfelt confessions at the bottom of the cliff.
However, the girl was gravely injured and couldn't survive that night.
Shen Jing has completely embarked on the irreversible path of darkness.
He killed his enemies, fought for power and profit, and committed all sorts of evil to achieve his goals.
In the end, he even competed with the male lead because Bai Qing resembled Manman by seven parts.
But I can understand why he mistook me for Manman.
I have a beauty mark at the corner of my eye, and so does Manman.
Moreover, I drew the female lead using my own face.
Don't call me narcissistic!
Which author doesn't project themselves onto their main character when writing, right?
Shen Jing held me on his lap.
He began to slowly tell me how he came out of the comic.
I started to feel a bit uncomfortable in this position; it felt like holding a child.
Which idiot came up with this art style?!
Then I realized it was probably me...
Shen Jing started narrating in his deep voice how he emerged: "I was forced to the edge of a cliff by someone.
"There were police in front and the sea behind.
"How could I, Shen Jing, be willing to be locked up for life? I'd rather die to be free.
"When I jumped down, a flash of white light appeared, and I floated in mid-air, seeing you.
"I was drawing the scene of me sinking to the bottom of the sea.
"So I guess this was all designed by you."
I felt quite guilty at the time: "If I had known all of this was real, I definitely wouldn't have arranged your ending like this."
Shen Jing lowered his head and leaned in close to me.
In an extremely intimate posture, he pressed against my earlobe, his tone laced with a hint of enticing allure.
"Manman, if it's you..."
"I would give you my life."
With emotions running high, and influenced by the comic's bold character settings, I lost my head for a moment.
And just like that, Shen Jing slept with me.
I shook my head, trying to shake off those unpleasant memories.
I grabbed a beer can from the table and downed it in one go.
I needed a bit of beer for inspiration when I was drawing.
After finishing four cans of beer, I received a text from Danto.
"Brother Shen's room is messy again; hurry up and come!"
I was a bit speechless. Did he think of me as a janitor?
Although I did clean up pretty well, it was my time to rest!
The night shift didn't have only me as the cleaner.
Just as I was about to refuse, Danto seemed to have dialed the wrong number and called me instead.
I overheard him reporting the situation, and soon a familiar voice came through on the phone.
Shen Jing lightly scoffed, "Not coming? That's fine.
"Go break her legs."
I panicked and quickly packed my things to rush to the store.
Fortunately, Bai Man had prepared some disguises and makeup for me.
After applying it, I headed out.
When I arrived at Shen Jing's office, a strong smell of blood assaulted my nostrils.
I couldn't help but gag.
This time, there were even more dead bodies.
I even saw the corpses of other gang leaders who used to play supporting roles in my comics.
Indeed, Shen Jing had almost completely departed from my comic.
His rapidly expanding ambition and desire were unstoppable.
Because I had set the laws of Myanmar in my comic to have no death penalty, the only outcome for Shen Jing if caught would be to rot in prison until the end of his life.
But Shen Jing would never resign himself to being a trapped beast; he was cunning, ruthless, and sinister.
Yet he had his own pride.
He was more like a proud and rebellious beast confined within his own painted cage, a wolf licking its wounds in its kingdom of sin.
Aside from all his numerous criminal offenses, setting those aside.
He is a character with great personal charm.
This has led to a large number of fans after the appearance of Shen Jing.
Some readers even sent me threatening letters demanding that I change Shen Jing's ending.
I am too fond of this character and have given him too much depth.
This also makes it impossible for me to resist showing favor to Shen Jing.
Looking at the several bodies on the ground that had been shot dead, I thought to myself.
This time, it shouldn't be Shen Jing's doing.
His shooting skills aren't that bad.
Danto urged me, gesturing clumsily in sign language, "Hurry up and clean this up."
"Miss Bai is coming soon."
I paused in my action of wiping away the blood.
Bai Man is coming?
Just as I was halfway through cleaning, I heard the crisp sound of high heels approaching.
