He approached step by step, each one heavily landing on the ground, making a thudding sound, as if each step was stepping on the guard's heart.
"Are you sure you didn't see anything?!" Luigi almost roared, his eyes like two dangerous knives flashing, staring straight at the guard, as if to thoroughly examine him inside and out.
The guard was intimidated by Luigi's fierce momentum, involuntarily stepping back in an attempt to keep a distance from Luigi, but there was a cold city wall behind him, with nowhere to escape. He stammered, "I... I really didn't see anything, sir..."
"Say it again! Are you sure?!" Luigi was relentless, his voice filled with fanaticism and distrust, like a trapped beast unable to tolerate any sign of potential secret leakage.
The guard's face turned pale, and he kept retreating under Luigi's questioning, finally stammering, "M... My lord, I... I only saw your reaction when you were looking through the telescope..."
