After the trial at the Phantom Lake, Zhiyun, Jade Wing, and Xiao Xiang Yun ventured into the next level of the Magic Palace - The Maze of Stone.
This is a maze made up of huge stone walls, each of which is enchanted with powerful magic that allows them to move and change the structure of the maze at will, causing the path to constantly change and making it very easy for people to lose their way.
Upon entering The Maze of Stone, the three immediately felt the oppressive force coming from all directions. The massive stone walls in front of them kept shifting, seemingly challenging their wit and patience.
"The structure of this maze is constantly changing. We need to find a way to predict its movements," Zhiyun said, her eyes fixed on the shifting walls around them, trying to discern a pattern.
Jade Wing uses his magical perception to try to sense the flow of magic within the stone wall. "Perhaps we can use the direction of the magic flow to determine the path."
Xiao Xiang Yun observes quietly, lightly touching a stone wall, attempting to use her sound wave detection technique to sense the space behind the wall. "Sound waves may be able to reveal the secrets behind the stone wall."
Just as they were searching for a way to crack the code, The Maze of Stone seemed to sense the challenger's intelligence and began to change even more wildly. The massive stone walls moved rapidly, even creating new obstacles from the ceiling and floor, as if to trap them in the maze.
Through close cooperation, they finally discovered the pattern of the stone wall movements. Whenever one wall moved, the adjacent walls also underwent subtle changes, indicating the direction of the next move.
Using this discovery, they began to successfully navigate through the maze, gradually approaching the exit.
However, as they were about to reach the end of the maze, a huge stone statue suddenly appeared in the center of the maze. It was the guardian of this The Maze of Stone. The statue's eyes lit up suddenly, and it launched an attack on them.
Zhiyun swiftly waved her sword, releasing powerful spells to fend off the attacks of the stone statue. Jade Wing and Xiao Xiang Yun also displayed their own unique skills, engaging in intense combat with the stone statue.
After a difficult battle, they finally found the weakness of the stone statue—a stone slab engraved with ancient magical runes. With the combined efforts of the three, the slab was destroyed, causing the stone statue to crumble, and the final obstacle of The Maze of Stone was cleared.
As the stone statue collapsed, the exit of The Maze of Stone appeared before them. The three of them walked out of the maze and arrived at a spacious clearing. On the other side of the clearing stood a grander gate leading to the deeper secrets of the magic palace.
"We have passed another test, but the road ahead is still long," Zhiyun said, looking at the gate with determination in his eyes.
"No matter what lies ahead, as long as we are together, there is nothing we can't overcome." Jade Wing and Xiao Xiang Yun also expressed their support.
So, they gathered their courage and walked together towards the unknown door, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead.
After passing the test of The Maze of Stone, Zhiyun, Jade Wing, and Xiao Xiang Yun continued to venture deeper into the heart of the lost maze. The next challenge they faced was the "Dark Corridor."
This level is a long corridor filled with countless corners and dead ends, surrounded by thick Shadow, creating a suffocating atmosphere throughout the space.
Here, light is almost completely swallowed, with the only sources coming from occasional flickering magic lanterns. The faint glow from these lanterns seems to be trying to guide them forward, while also concealing unknown dangers.
"The darkness in this corridor is not just a visual challenge, but also a test of the soul," Zhiyun said softly, holding a glowing spell symbol in her hand to provide a glimmer of light.
Jade Wing looked around vigilantly, knowing that in a place like this, danger could suddenly strike at any moment. "We need to stay highly alert, and not overlook any slightest movement."
Xiao Xiang Yun attempted to use her music to sense the surrounding environment. Her melody echoed in the dark corridor, creating a strange sense of harmony, as if engaging in a dialogue with the power of in the dark.
As they slowly traversed the corridor, invisible enemies leaped out from in the dark. These creatures, formed by Shadow, were silent and only revealed their outlines in the moments before launching an attack.
Faced with the sudden attack of these Shadow creatures, the three of them quickly reacted. Zhiyun unleashed her spell of light, with each swing sending a beam of light piercing through the darkness, repelling one Shadow creature after another.
Jade Wing's magic sword was enveloped in blazing flames, with each swing bringing forth a burst of light, illuminating his path forward.
Xiao Xiang Yun's piano playing became more urgent, and her melody seemed to have a special restraining power over the Shadow creatures, causing them to disintegrate instantly upon contact with the sound waves.
After a period of intense battle, they finally cleared all the Shadow creatures, and the dark corridor once again regained a temporary tranquility. But the three of them knew that this was only a temporary victory, and there were more unknown challenges waiting for them in the lost maze.
They did not stop, but continued to move forward, with each step bringing them closer to the center of the demon palace. Despite the difficulties and dangers along the way, the determination of Zhiyun, Jade Wing, and Xiao Xiang Yun never wavered. As long as the three of them worked together, there was no obstacle they could not overcome.
After passing through the dark and winding corridors, Zhiyun, Jade Wing, and Xiao Xiang Yun finally arrived at the next level of the lost maze—the Mirror Array.
This level is made up of countless giant magic mirrors, each of which can reflect the challengers' innermost fears or desires, testing whether they can find their true selves through a trial of the mind.
Upon entering the mirror array, the three were immediately drawn to their respective reflections. Zhiyun saw her past failures and setbacks, the moments that once left her feeling disheartened.
Jade Wing faced his desire for power and status, these desires magnified in the mirror, attempting to consume his original intentions. Xiao Xiang Yun found herself trapped in an endless melody, her pursuit of the perfect tune leading her astray.
Facing the illusions in the mirror, the three of them each experienced a profound inner struggle. Zhiyun took a deep breath and understood that past failures are the steps to growth. Only by accepting and overcoming them could she become stronger. So, she took a step forward, pierced through the mirror reflecting her failures, and found her true self.
Jade Wing then, after deep self-reflection, realized that true strength does not come from power and status, but from the determination to uphold justice and protect others. He wielded his sword to cut through those illusions and broke free from the shackles of power and desire.
Xiao Xiang Yun found her own voice in the endless competition of melodies. She realized that true music is not about pursuing perfection, but about expressing genuine emotions and resonating with the audience. Her music became more free and profound, ultimately breaking through that mirror.
When the three of them each overcame the illusions in their hearts, the test of the mirror array also came to an end. The mirrors disappeared, replaced by a door leading to the next level.
Three people looked at each other and smiled. Their spirits were purified and elevated in this challenge, becoming stronger and clearer.
They walked together through the door to the next level, not knowing what challenges lay ahead, but they were ready to face everything.
