I heard that every child of Zha Ji San is cursed in this life. Ye Chuanze used to not believe it, but now he does. 0

Because... he has crossed over! 0

This must be a curse!! A malicious curse from the Great Universe!!! 0

As usual, Ye Chuanze was disconnected while playing a defense-offense game. He calmly pushed up his glasses and logged back in, only to find... unable to connect to the server, unable to connect to the server, unable to connect to the server... 0

Ye Chuanze became furious and kicked the main unit. The computer displayed a blue screen, thunder rumbled outside, and then everything went dark before his eyes; he lost consciousness. 0

When he regained consciousness, he realized he had crossed over. But that's not the point; the point is that he had transformed into a Lotus Seed!! That's right, you heard it correctly, a Lotus Seed, a black Lotus Seed. 0

At the beginning of chaos, Pangu opened up the heavens and earth, transforming into Primordial. The Chaos Azure Lotus that nurtured Pangu was destroyed, and its four Lotus Seeds scattered across Primordial. Ye Chuanze is one of those four Lotus Seeds, a completely black Lotus Seed shimmering with light. 0

Ye Chuanze prides himself on being a mature adult and has always looked down on crossing over. In his view, a person's abilities and achievements do not become stronger just because they have crossed over; even if a useless person crosses over, they remain useless. Those who fantasize about crossing over to achieve instant success are unrealistic. Similarly, even if someone is a failure in life without crossing over, they are still a failure; there is no need for crossing over. On the contrary, if a failure in life unfortunately crosses over and loses all their hard-earned achievements, starting from scratch again is truly a nightmare! 0

As someone who has achieved academic and career success—someone others envy— Ye Chuanze has unfortunately crossed over, thus bringing forth his nightmare! And he has turned into a Lotus Seed, upgrading his nightmare into hell. Ye Chuanze became furious and angry, followed by an overwhelming sense of powerlessness, despair, resignation. Since resistance is futile, he might as well accept his fate! Just like before, he should strive for a better life and a more brilliant future! 0

So first of all, let’s work hard to transform into human form! 0

In ancient Primordial times, this was an era of grandeur. Gods, demons, and humans coexisted in an age where saints were conferred titles and dominated. Countless myths and legends emerged from this era and have been passed down through generations. Numerous immortal emperors were born during this time, showcasing unparalleled elegance that inspires admiration. As time changes and erodes all things in the world, the only constants are the epic myths passed down through generations and the immortal emperors living within those myths. 0

The way of heaven has its constants; all things have their own rules. 0

The more extraordinary the divine being's origin, the harder it is to transform. As a Lotus Seed born from the Chaos Azure Lotus, Ye Chuanze's transformation is naturally extremely difficult. It is said that the legendary figure Pangu the Great was born from one of the Lotus Seeds of the Chaos Azure Lotus; Pangu's emergence carried the mission of creation. As for Ye Chuanze wanting to transform... ha! The way of heaven does not allow it!! 0

However, at this moment, Ye Chuanze was unaware of this. He was wholeheartedly focused on his training, striving to transform and escape from his non-human form. In order to gain the freedom to move in human form, Ye Chuanze was willing to risk everything—either succeed in his transformation or die! It would be a long time before he realized how naive he had been. This seemingly simple wish nearly cost him everything. 0

According to common logic, the four Lotus Seeds nurtured by Chaos Azure Lotus could never transform into human forms; they could not even develop consciousness. Such extraordinary innate divine objects were not permitted by the Heavenly Dao to take shape; their fate was to be reclaimed as treasures by the Primordial beings. Yet, there was an anomaly with Ye Chuanze —his soul merged with the Black Lotus, granting what should have been a lifeless Black Lotus a consciousness. 0

Existence is reasonable. Long before Pangu opened the heavens and the earth, before the Heavenly Dao was born, Ye Chuanze awakened from the Black Lotus. The Heavenly Dao could no longer destroy him; it could only prevent him from transforming into human form. Many years later, Ye Chuanze felt that being trapped in the Black Lotus with a conscious mind for eternity was worse than being extinguished by the Heavenly Dao from the start. Sometimes, living in such a half-alive state was less fulfilling than simply dying. 0

Time passed in the Primordial realm, and countless years slipped by unnoticed. 0

The Primordial continent became increasingly vibrant and full of life, with abundant spiritual energy. Immortal herbs covered the land, flowers adorned the world, Kunpeng soared through the skies, beasts ran freely in the forests, and fish swam freely in the deep sea. All things possessed their own spirits; everything could transform and cultivate to attain immortality. 0

After cultivating for tens of thousands of years, Ye Chuanze still could not transform into human form, which left him somewhat frustrated. However, he had achieved something; at least he had grown from a Lotus Seed into a lotus flower. He consoled himself that this was indeed progress. 0

In a misty immortal pond surrounded by swirling fairy mist, green lotus leaves spread out while white lotus flowers quietly bloomed across the surface. The fragrance of the lotus filled the air, refreshing one's spirit. A gentle breeze passed by, causing the proud lotus flowers to sway gracefully. A figure in a Purple Robe appeared at the water's edge; a long, fair hand with distinct fingers scooped up a handful of water from the pond. With a voice that was noble yet somewhat cold, he said, "The spiritual energy here is denser than in other places; it must possess something extraordinary." 0

Hidden among the blooming lotus flowers and leaves, Ye Chuanze's heart tightened upon hearing this. He feared that the person on the shore would discover his presence. As an innate spiritual object with consciousness, he possessed knowledge of celestial phenomena and cultivation techniques. Ye Chuanze understood that he was a rare and powerful innate treasure that every immortal coveted. That was why he hid in this secluded immortal pond, nurturing a sea of lotus flowers to conceal his existence. 0

He did not want to be captured and turned into a treasure; he never considered himself as such—a mere object or tool. Deep down, he firmly believed he was a person—a human endowed with rights to freedom. Perhaps now he needed to add an "immortal" prefix to that identity, but to him, it all felt the same. Whether immortal or human, they were all alike—each possessing emotions and desires—only differing in strength of abilities; humans simply lacked the overwhelming power that immortals wielded. 0

Many years later, when Ye Chuanze became a true immortal, he realized how shallow and ignorant his previous distinctions between humans and immortals had been. The fundamental difference between humans and immortals lay not in strength but at a higher level—a true transcendence beyond both mortals and immortals. Yet he had to admit that his initial belief—that he was free and endowed with rights—had supported him through his weakest and most perilous times. 0

Ye Chuanze sensed that the Purple Robe figure before him was immensely powerful; an overwhelming aura emanated from him that sent shivers through Ye Chuanze's very soul. His instincts warned him that this man was formidable and terrifying—he was no match for him. If confronted with this man, escape would be impossible—or perhaps he wouldn't even have a chance to flee because this man was too strong; Ye Chuanze doubted he could escape under his watchful eyes. 0

The fear coursing through his soul only made Ye Chuanze's mind clearer. Since fleeing would be futile, then facing him head-on was his only option! In terms of strength, he indeed could not compete with this man before him. However, he also had confidence that this man could not kill him either. The worst outcome would merely be becoming this man's treasure; as long as he didn't die, it would be fine. As long as he survived, there remained hope for escape and revenge! 0

The Purple-Clad Man bent slightly at the waist; his purple robe trailed elegantly on the ground as his long fair fingers stirred up the spring water in the pond. In an instant, all of the lotus flowers vanished without a trace except for one black Twelve-Grade Black Lotus quietly blooming at the center of the pond. "So that's it... it's actually... Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus." 0

The black Twelve-Grade Black Lotus, entirely pitch-black and shimmering with a cold luster, resembled a finely crafted black jade sculpture, free of any flaws. Layer upon layer of black petals quietly unfurled, glistening under the sunlight with a chilling sheen, breathtakingly beautiful and captivating, both enchanting and pure. 0

Hongjun was momentarily distracted, but quickly regained his composure. A phrase suddenly surfaced in his mind: black is the root of the world. The world was initially shrouded in darkness, which gave birth to light; darkness and light coexist, arising and extinguishing each other. It seemed he had grasped something profound, a realm he had not comprehended for years was elevated at this moment. 0

The corners of Hongjun's lips lifted slightly, revealing a faint smile that added a touch of allure to his originally noble and elegant appearance. "I didn't expect the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus to awaken its consciousness. You little one are quite clever, knowing how to conceal yourself." After a pause, he continued, "However, it is ultimately futile; your immense spiritual energy that cannot be hidden will inevitably attract those who wish to possess you." 0

Silence enveloped the space, only the sound of the wind could be heard. After a long while, Ye Chuanze's somewhat childish voice broke through the quietness, slightly hoarse from not speaking for so long. "I want to take human form. Ever since I awakened, I have had only one thought: to become human and control my own destiny! I refuse to be someone else's treasure, to be manipulated! Since I have awakened my consciousness, the only one who can control me is myself!" 0

"Hah..." A light laugh escaped Hongjun's lips, his voice cold yet carrying an air of nobility. "You wish to control your own fate? Yet you do not realize that under the heavenly laws, all things are bound by them, even you." 0

"And so what?" Ye Chuanze retorted. "Even if I am bound by heavenly laws, I will still fight! If heaven confines me, then I will battle against heaven! To be eternally trapped by others and unable to control my own fate is worse than death. Since I fear nothing in death, why should I fear heaven?" 0

"I... simply wish to control my own fate and not be bound by anyone; I desire freedom—freedom of body and mind. Just such a small wish..." 0

After a long silence, Hongjun finally spoke. "Truly... a touching speech. In that case, I shall assist you. As for whether your wishes can be fulfilled, that depends on you." 0

"Black Lotus, come here." 0

"Do not call me Black Lotus," Ye Chuanze replied displeased but obediently drifted from the center of the pond to its edge before Hongjun. 0

With a light laugh, Hongjun did not respond but extended his finger and gently tapped one of the petals of the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus. A spell entered Ye Chuanze's mind. 0

"Today I will impart a spell to you; I hope you can achieve your desires." 0

"Thank you, Master!" Ye Chuanze quickly replied. 0

"Don't call me Master..." 0

"You taught me the cultivation techniques, so it's only right for me to call you Master," Ye Chuanze said seriously. 0

Hongjun chuckled lightly and replied helplessly, "You really know how to take advantage of the situation. Fine, do as you wish." 0

Inside the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus, in the state of Primordial Spirit, Ye Chuanze quietly watched Hongjun's departing figure, the Purple-Clad Daoist's back was elegant yet exuded an innate nobility. 0

"Black Lotus, don't let anyone catch you," Hongjun's voice came from afar, with a hint of laughter still audible. 0

In response, Ye Chuanze scoffed dismissively; there was no way he would be caught by anyone. 0

Three months later, a man dressed in black broke into the Immortal Pool and took away the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus from within. 0
