The Purple Robed Daoist looked at him with a wary expression, while Rahul forced a slightly false smile. "I'm just passing by, you all continue," he said, standing still without any intention of leaving.
The Purple Robed Daoist observed him for a moment and, seeing that he truly had no intention to attack, shifted his gaze away. However, the Man in Black and Red Armor, noticing the Purple Robed Daoist's hesitation, impatiently remarked, "Hongjun, what are you waiting for? It's just an insignificant ant; why bother?"
Ye Chuanze could no longer bear to look at him. Was he hoping for a quicker death? Rahul's expression darkened instantly, his brows furrowed with fierce hostility as he coldly stared at the arrogant and impatient Man in Black and Red Armor.
Upon hearing the Black and Red Armored Man's words, Hongjun turned around and replied calmly, "You're right; what's important now is the battle between you and me." With that, he raised his sword hand and moved. In an instant, a shadow flashed past. Hongjun was no longer where he had stood; instead, he appeared beside the Black and Red Armored Man, his eyes slightly lowered with an indifferent expression. His sword pierced through the man's hard armor, stabbing through his chest.
Drip, drip, drip!
The sound of blood falling to the ground echoed as a gentle breeze blew past, stirring the hair on Hongjun's forehead, leaving his handsome face devoid of emotion.
A strange silence fell before suddenly erupting into thunderous laughter.
"Haha!" The Man in Black and Red Armor laughed heartily. "I didn't expect it; just one sword strike! With just one sword strike, you've defeated me. Hongjun, you truly are impressive!"
Hearing this, Hongjun remained expressionless and simply uttered two words lightly from his lips: "Thank you."
"No need to be modest, Hongjun. You are indeed stronger than I am. However..." The Man in Black and Red Armor's tone shifted as he expressed dissatisfaction. "Were you just toying with me? Not willing to show your true strength? Do you look down on me? Do you think I'm not worthy to be your opponent?" A series of questions poured out from the Man in Black and Red Armor.
"You think too much. You are a worthy opponent. If it weren't for the fact that you had exhausted too much energy earlier, I wouldn't have been able to defeat you so quickly," Hongjun explained calmly without changing his expression. He stood tall and straight with an air of pride about him. The silver-haired Purple Robe only accentuated his noble demeanor.
Ye Chuanze thought to himself that fortunately he wasn't a woman; otherwise, he would surely fall in love with him—he was just too handsome! Tsk tsk, such a male figure who incites jealousy should be dragged out and beaten to death!
Hongjun's words softened the Man in Black and Red Armor's expression somewhat, and his tone became less sharp. "In today's battle, I admit my defeat wholeheartedly. But remember this, Hongjun: I will seek you out for another fight one day! When that time comes, I will definitely win!"
Hongjun smiled slightly at these words. "I'm always ready."
With that said, the Man in Black and Red Armor turned away without hesitation, missing the hint of regret in Hongjun's eyes.
I'm afraid you won't have another chance to seek me out for a fight. Watching the retreating figure of the Black and Red Armored Man, Hongjun felt a slight regret; that man filled with bloodthirsty aura was not someone easy to deal with—had he really subdued the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus? Hongjun pondered slightly; no, it couldn't be that simple... Remembering that day at the Immortal Pool when that young voice spoke with such resolute arrogance, Hongjun felt that the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus was certainly not willing to be controlled.
With thoughts swirling in his mind, Hongjun's expression remained unchanged. He paused briefly before turning away without paying any attention to Rahul who had been watching from the side for quite some time.
"Are you not going to chase after him?" Looking at Hongjun's distant figure, Ye Chuanze couldn't help but speak up. Others might not know, but he could clearly sense the deep battle intent erupting from Rahul's body. Ever since Hongjun unleashed that stunning sword strike, Rahul had been unable to contain the astonishing battle intent and killing aura that surged forth.
Rahul gazed intensely at Hongjun's retreating silhouette, licking his dry lips with his tongue. He didn't need to think to know that his face was already twisted with excitement. "No, we have more important things to do right now."
"Are we going to hunt down that Black and Red Armored Man who dared to disregard you?" Although phrased as a question, Ye Chuanze's tone was affirmative.
"Heh heh..." Rahul let out a dark chuckle. "You are getting to know me better, Black Lotus."
"I do not feel honored by that at all," Ye Chuanze replied flatly.
"You should feel honored," Rahul said as he commanded the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus, quickly pursuing the direction in which the Black and Red Armored Man had left.

Watching the Man in Black and Red Armor fall in shock and disbelief beneath Rahul's God-Slaying Spear, Ye Chuanze, in his soul state within the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus, wore a cold expression, his gaze terrifyingly calm. He had become increasingly accustomed to death. Over the years, following Rahul, he had witnessed countless extraordinary beings perish at Rahul's hands.
Death... is just such a simple matter. The survival of the fittest is a simple yet brutal law of the Primordial; the weak can die at any moment, while the strong face threats from even stronger opponents.
Rahul looked down at the fallen Man in Black and Red Armor, a sneer curling at the corners of his lips, his smile contemptuous and disdainful, his gaze fierce.
"Is it alright to let that Purple Robed Daoist go?" Ye Chuanze asked calmly.
Hearing Ye Chuanze's words, Rahul slightly reined in his killing intent. "Don't worry, I remember the scent on him. No matter where he hides, I will find him."
"Are you a dog?" Ye Chuanze began to comment on him expressionlessly again.
"Heh heh... Black Lotus, that joke is not funny at all," Rahul replied with a dark chuckle.
Ye Chuanze wisely fell silent.
In the following days, Rahul remained holed up in the Cave without stepping outside. Ye Chuanze found this quite strange and finally couldn't help but ask one day, "I thought you would be eager to go find that Purple Robed Daoist for a fight."
"No rush," Rahul said as he sat on a soft couch, gently wiping his God-Slaying Spear. His tone was unhurried: "The stronger the opponent, the more cautious one must be. Rushing will only dampen one's enthusiasm. A quiet ambush is just for a guaranteed strike."
Ye Chuanze fell silent for a moment before coldly saying, "Indeed, it's a twisted sense of humor."
Ye Chuanze had countless times speculated what expression Hongjun would have when facing Rahul again—surprise, vigilance, disgust, mutual understanding, or perhaps outright murderous intent? Ye Chuanze thought of numerous possibilities but never expected it to be like this.
Calmly, Hongjun looked at Rahul standing before him and said lightly, "Since our last parting, I've been wondering when you would come to find me. You arrived later than I imagined."
"Heh heh..." Rahul laughed darkly, "You seem more eager than I expected?"
"No, it's you who is eager." Hongjun said with a calm expression, "Your complexion has completely twisted."
"That's because of you." Rahul swung his spear and pointed it at Hongjun, saying, "Let's have a match! The winner gets to live."
"No." Hongjun refused.
Rahul was quite surprised by his refusal and raised an eyebrow, asking, "Why refuse? I thought you were like me."
"I never fight meaningless battles." Hongjun said calmly, "Let's make a wager! If you win, my life is yours to dispose of. If I win, you give me the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus beneath you."
"Heh heh..." Rahul smiled sinisterly, "I thought we were on the same page; only one of us can survive."
"Indeed." Hongjun agreed, "But I have no interest in killing for treasure, and I happen to be very interested in your Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus."
"Oh? Is that so?" Rahul raised his tone in surprise, "I didn't expect your character to be so noble. Fine, I accept! If you win, I'll give you the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus!"
"Very well!" With that, Hongjun raised his sword.
"Clang!" The crisp and cold sound of their weapons clashing filled the air with a sharp killing intent as two afterimages flashed quickly through the air in a fierce battle. Magical treasures were summoned, and brilliant lights intertwined and flashed. Dust flew up as stones crumbled. In an instant, the world seemed to lose its color.
One stood with a spear, his face dark and fierce. The other wielded a sword in combat, his expression cold and ethereal.
This battle ultimately ended in a draw.
"Hmph!" Rahul snorted coldly and said, "We'll end it here for today; let's fight again another day!"
Hongjun's voice was cold, as if mixed with the harshest winds and snow of the world, saying, "I am more than willing!"
Rahul glanced at him, boarded the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus, and turned to leave.
Sensing the fierce aura emanating from Rahul, Ye Chuanze hesitated for a moment but chose to remain silent, asking no questions. After a long while, Rahul finally spoke up and asked, "Black Lotus, what is your relationship with Hongjun?"
"I have no relationship at all!" Ye Chuanze quickly distanced himself, knowing that during this sensitive time, he had to bury the memory of his past encounter with Hongjun. He absolutely could not let Rahul find out! Otherwise, if Rahul thought he was a traitor with ulterior motives, he would truly have nowhere to cry. Although… he did indeed harbor thoughts of betrayal, but that had nothing to do with Hongjun! This was not fair!
"Is that so?" Rahul replied ambiguously, his tone chilling as he said, "Then why did he ask for you right away?"
"…… Damn it! Hongjun, you troublemaker!"
Inside the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus, still in a spiritual state, Ye Chuanze licked his dry lips and said hoarsely, "It's probably because he also covets the supreme innate treasure! You must know that among the Primordial, no one can resist the temptation of an Innate Spiritual Treasure."
Rahul remained silent for a long time before finally saying lightly, "Is that so?"
After hearing this, Ye Chuanze felt increasingly nervous, sensing that Rahul was in a bad mood. Was it just my illusion?
