Yan Yi Bai widened his eyes; he hadn't intended to reveal these things, only wanting to tell Ruo Yun that he was the one she deeply loved.
Yet he was caught off guard by Ouyang Su.
After learning this, Su Ruoyun was utterly shocked. She had actually sold her first night, and it was with the man standing before her.
Instinctively, she moved away from Yan Yi Bai.
Yan Yi Bai felt helpless, but he didn't want to continue speaking. If he did, who knew what else Ouyang Su would say.
Bringing Ruo Yun to meet Ouyang Su had been a complete miscalculation.
Yan Yi Bai tried to leave with Su Ruoyun, but she refused to go with him.
"If our transaction really existed back then, it's over now. We have no relationship left, and I don't need to go back with you."
"But..."
Yan Yi Bai was at a loss for words as the two stood frozen at the entrance of the café.
"Ruo Yun, come back with me," came Ouyang Su's voice from behind.
Yan Yi Bai, startled, pulled Su Ruoyun behind him. "She will never go with you. Not in this lifetime."
Su Ruoyun watched Yan Yi Bai's back, inhaling the familiar scent that clung to him, and feeling the strength with which he held her hand. An inexplicable sense of familiarity surged within her.
This feeling did not repulse her; in fact, Su Ruoyun could sense that Yan Yi Bai was genuine with her.
If he were truly just a playboy who had bought her virginity for a million, why would he be so entangled with her?
The palm of his hand holding hers was already sweaty.
He continued to argue with Ouyang Su, clearly anxious about her leaving. Even during the dispute, his body remained protectively in front of her, unwilling to let Ouyang Su look at her for even a moment longer.
“Ouyang Su, don’t push me.”
Yan Yi Bai's gaze turned colder, as if he was about to fight Ouyang Su again.
“I’ll go back with him; it will be fine.”
A faint voice came from behind Su Ruoyun, yet it was clear and distinct.
Even Yan Yi Bai couldn't believe those words had come from Su Ruoyun.
He turned around and smiled at her; in that moment, it felt like a breath of spring. Su Ruoyun smiled back, simply infected by his grin. Sometimes, words are unnecessary; as long as you look deeply into my eyes, everything becomes clear.
Amidst Ouyang Su's shock, Yan Yi Bai took Su Ruoyun and left the place.
During dinner, Yan Yi Bai still couldn't believe it. "You really won't leave here?"
"I won't, at least not until you agree to let me go," she said firmly.
Yan Yi Bai felt as sweet as honey.
After that, Yan Yi Bai didn't interfere much with Su Ruoyun's activities. Su Ruoyun would go out shopping and do other things, and she would also meet Ouyang Su.
However, she always returned home on time to have dinner with Yan Yi Bai. Sometimes, if she came back early, the two of them would go to see the Daffodils.
Yan Yi Bai took great care of Su Ruoyun, and she had never received such treatment before.
Gradually, she began to develop feelings for Yan Yi Bai. At first, she thought of him as a mentally unstable person, but now she found him to have a unique charm.
Yet, Su Ruoyun still had some doubts in her heart about what kind of relationship she had with Yan Yi Bai.
Although he made his feelings quite obvious, he had never explicitly said that he liked her.
Su Ruoyun also knew that everything Yan Yi Bai did was in pursuit of her.
Sometimes when Su Ruoyun was alone, she would think about what had happened between the two of them before.
