Su Xin'er could only see Su Ruoyun's back from her position, and she wondered what this woman would look like. From the back, her figure seemed quite good.
Just as Yan Yi Bai and Su Ruoyun were having their meal, Yan Yi Bai's phone suddenly rang; it was a call from someone at the company.
After answering the call, Yan Yi Bai's expression darkened immediately.
"I arranged this matter this morning, didn't I? What's going on with you all? Can't you handle such a small issue?"
Seeing Yan Yi Bai's increasingly grim face, Su Ruoyun realized something must be wrong at the company.
"Why don't you go back to the company and check it out?"
After Yan Yi Bai hung up the phone, Su Ruoyun proactively suggested.
Yan Yi Bai looked a bit troubled, but it seemed he had to return to handle something at the company.
"Can you wait for me here for a bit? I'll be back soon; the afternoon schedule won't change, just a little delayed."
Yan Yi Bai said apologetically.
Su Ruoyun smiled slightly and replied, "I'm fine with it. You should take care of your matters first."
Yan Yi Bai nodded and, in order to buy some time, hurriedly left the place with his coat.
After he left, Su Xin'er, who was sitting not far away, slightly narrowed her eyes; the opportunity had arrived.
Confirming that Yan Yi Bai would not return, Su Xin'er straightened her back, got up from her seat, and sat down directly across from Su Ruoyun.
Su Ruoyun suddenly looked up and saw a stunning woman sitting across from her. In her surprise, she noticed the woman's expression shift from anger to fear.
"Who... who are you?"
Su Ruoyun blinked in shock. "Uh... are you looking for someone?"
"Su Ruoyun?"
Su Ruoyun was taken aback for a moment and then smiled. "You must have mistaken me; my name is Su Ruo."
At that moment, Su Xin'er felt her mind go blank. The person in front of her looked exactly like Su Ruoyun.
However, upon hearing her say her name was Su Ruo, Su Xin'er sneered, "You're really something else, playing such a good scheme—faking your death five years ago and coming back now to seduce Yan Yi Bai."
Seeing the unfriendly tone of the woman across from her, Su Ruoyun's gaze darkened.
"I'm sorry, I don't know you. This is my seat; could you please leave?"
"Can you stop pretending here? I can recognize you at a glance. Are you trying to play the victim in front of me? Pretending to have amnesia?"
Su Ruoyun frowned, finding the woman before her somewhat ridiculous.
"I really don't know who you are. Please leave."
Su Xin'er slammed her hand on the table, stood up, and splashed a cup of water directly onto Su Ruoyun's face.
Su Ruoyun gasped in surprise, not expecting such a sudden action from her.
"Su Ruoyun, stop playing the victim in front of me. I know who you are. You left five years ago; why are you back now? Can't you just leave Yan Yi Bai alone? Are you regretting it? Is that why you're back here making a fool of yourself?"
Before she could finish speaking, a cup of water was thrown back at Su Xin'er’s face. "Unreasonable."
After saying that, Su Ruoyun grabbed her bag and left the restaurant.
Su Xin'er stood there in shock. The Su Ruoyun from back then would never have acted this way; she only knew how to play the victim and seek sympathy from others.
By the time Su Xin'er chased after her, Su Ruoyun had already left.
Feeling unwilling to accept this, she began to investigate Su Ruoyun, trying to find out what her true intentions for returning were.
