But the most frequently spoken words from him were the name Su Ruoyun.
Two weeks later, Yan Yi Bai was transferred to a regular ward.
A month later, Yan Yi Bai was no longer in serious condition, but the injuries he sustained required him to stay in the hospital for further recovery.
That morning, Yan Yi Bai opened his eyes and did not see Su Ruoyun as usual.
He looked around the room in a bit of a panic and saw Su Ruoyun standing by the window with her back to him. The sunlight streaming in from outside illuminated her, and a gentle breeze lightly swayed the curtains.
"Ruo Yun," he called her name.
She smiled and turned to look at him. At that moment, there was a pot of blooming Daffodils on the windowsill, pure like her.
She walked over to him, carrying the fragrance of Daffodils.
"You’re awake. Do you feel any better today? Is there anything you want to eat? I’ll make it for you myself."
Su Ruoyun smiled, gently stroking his cheek.
Through Su Ruoyun's figure, Yan Yi Bai saw the pot of Daffodils on the windowsill.
"As long as it's made by you, I want to eat anything."
Su Ruoyun smiled.
She helped Yan Yi Bai sit up, placing a pillow behind his back. Noticing that Yan Yi Bai was staring at the Daffodil on the windowsill, Su Ruoyun asked him.
"Do you like it? This is one of the Daffodils from the bunch you gave me last time."
Before he could respond, he shifted his gaze back to Su Ruoyun and tightly grasped her hand.
Su Ruoyun leaned against Yan Yi Bai, and the two of them said little, quietly watching the pot of Daffodils.
Two months later, after Yan Yi Bai's strong insistence, he finally got discharged from the hospital. On the very night he returned to the villa, he secretly went to the guest room and slipped into Su Ruoyun's room.
Su Ruoyun felt some movement by her feet. Looking over, she saw him crawling out from under the blanket at her feet, and by the time he poked his head out, he was already beside her.
Su Ruoyun pouted and tapped his forehead with her fingertip. "Not tonight either."
Yan Yi Bai hung his head in disappointment. "Why not? I'm fine now; just give it to me. I can hardly hold back."
Su Ruoyun chuckled softly. "Even if you can't hold back, you have to. The doctor said you have wounds; vigorous activity could cause them to reopen."
"But... can't I just take it slow?" Yan Yi Bai looked at Su Ruoyun with pleading eyes.
Su Ruoyun actually wanted to, but considering Yan Yi Bai's physical condition, she ultimately refused, saying, "No."
Yan Yi Bai lay directly beside Su Ruoyun on the bed, asking, "What if I do nothing and just hold you to sleep here?"
With no other choice, Su Ruoyun agreed, and Yan Yi Bai was as happy as a child.
He hugged Su Ruoyun from behind, inhaling the pleasant scent of her perfume in her hair, while his hands restlessly roamed over her body.
Su Ruoyun grabbed his hand under the covers, warning him, "If you keep this up, you'll have to go back to your own room."
Yan Yi Bai finally quieted down, but it wasn't long before he started being restless again. Slowly, Su Ruoyun stopped resisting, knowing what he wanted.
Eventually accepting his actions, Yan Yi Bai seemed encouraged and began kissing Su Ruoyun, causing her body to heat up.
"Ruo Yun, Ruo Yun, I love you! I love you!"
His words filled her ears with teasing affection as Su Ruoyun responded to his advances. That night, the lovers were lost in their passion.
The next day, however, Yan Yi Bai ended up in the hospital due to a reopened wound.
Su Ruoyun scolded him for it but wore a worried expression on her face.
