A week later, Cold Haocheng was discharged from the hospital.
Cheng Ying had someone prepare a feast, and the family was getting ready to celebrate.

Chu Yun felt uneasy and forced a smile.
" Cold Thunder, I don't quite understand what you mean."
Cold Thunder didn't look at her but instead pulled out a document from his briefcase and handed it to Chu Yun.
When Chu Yun took it and looked at it, she was instantly stunned!
It was a divorce agreement!
" Cold Thunder —are you... are you going to divorce me?"
"Yes."
Cold Thunder did not want to say another word.
" Cold Thunder, why? Why do you want a divorce? Aren't we doing well? We've been together for so many years. I have been filial to your parents, and I have no regrets towards you or Xiao Bei. Why do you have to..."
Cold Thunder looked coldly at Chu Yun. "You say you have no regrets towards my dad and mom, and I agree, but when it comes to Xiao Bei, don't you feel embarrassed saying that?"
"I... Cold Thunder, are you still doubting that I was the one who injected Xiao Bei? You saw the needle was taken out; it doesn't match the ones in my box at all. It's not me!"

You were afraid of being exposed, so you deliberately went to the hospital while I was taking a shower and swapped that box of needles."

"When I found a broken needle in my pocket, I knew for sure that you had switched it. If you weren't guilty, why would you do such a thing?"

Cold Thunder raised a hand to stop Chu Yun from speaking.
"I don't want to hear anything more. When Xiao Bei was undergoing surgery, I silently vowed that as long as Xiao Bei could get through this ordeal, I wouldn't pursue anything further. I was willing to let go of all hatred and blame for Xiao Bei's sake. Cold Thunder gritted his teeth. He thought he could handle this calmly, but reality proved otherwise.
Chu Yun suddenly knelt before Cold Thunder.

I longed to be with you, to marry and have children with you, but then the doctor suddenly told me I could never be a mother. Do you know how devastating that is for a girl in her twenties?"
Cold Thunder closed his eyes in pain.
He could understand that it was a devastating blow, and he felt sympathy for her.

Chu Yun's voice was hoarse from crying.
" Cold Thunder, I truly love you. If it weren't for loving you, I wouldn't have done so many foolish things! Cold Thunder, I'm begging you for a chance. I promise I'll be a good wife, a good daughter-in-law, and a good mother."
Chu Yun clutched the pants of Cold Thunder, pleading desperately.
"You are indeed pitiful, and you could hide the truth about your infertility, but you absolutely should not have used my best friend!"
Cold Thunder finally began to roar.

Cold Thunder pushed Chu Yun down to the ground.
Chu Yun stared blankly.
"To be honest, I have never loved you. To me, you are just a substitute for Lu Kenian. I once tested Lu Kenian and knew she could never like me, so I chose someone very much like her—someone like you! I was going to break up with you, but unfortunately, you had an accident! I only felt sorry for you!"
