After experiencing a fierce battle, Yunyi and his companions continued to move forward, passing through dense forests towards their next destination - the village contaminated by Necromancer.
The village is located in a remote valley, once a thriving land, but now it has fallen into complete silence.
As they gradually approached the village, the air was filled with an increasingly strong stench of Necromancer, and the surrounding scenery became more and more eerie. Yunyi frowned, took a deep breath, and tried to suppress the unease in his heart: "Be careful, we are about to enter the village area."
They arrived at the edge of the village, where most of the houses were in ruins, the streets were overgrown with weeds, and abandoned items could still be seen from time to time, indicating traces of past life here.
"Here... has completely changed." Xiao Jin said softly, with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
At that moment, a group of Necromancers suddenly rushed out from the other end of the street, their eyes glowing with a blood-red light, emitting heart-wrenching screams as they charged straight towards Yunyi and the others.
"Prepare for battle!" Yunyi shouted, brandishing his sword and charging forward. His first strike was swift and fierce, directly cutting down the lead Necromancer.
Iron bull and Liufei were not to be outdone, swinging their weapons and joining the fight. Iron bull's battle axe came down heavily, each blow cleaving a Necromancer in half, while Liufei's longsword was agile and precise, each strike accurately hitting the vital points of the Necromancers.
Xiao Jin is providing support from the rear, her arrows summoning death, each one taking the life of a Necromancer.
Just as Yunyi and the others were locked in fierce combat with the Necromancer, a roar suddenly echoed from deep within the village. A massive Necromancer commander appeared, followed by even more Necromancers.
This Necromancer commander is different from the ordinary Necromancer. Its body is covered with thick black armor, and it wields a huge bone staff, each swing carrying astonishing power.
"Be careful, that's the Necromancer commander!" Yunyi warned, a hint of seriousness flashing in their eyes.
The battle escalated quickly as the appearance of the Necromancer commander significantly raised the difficulty of the fight. Yunyi and the others had to readjust their strategy to face such a powerful enemy.
Iron bull was the first to step forward, his massive battle-axe clashing with the bone club, creating a deafening symphony of metal. Despite Iron bull's immense strength, the power of the Necromancer commander was formidable, causing numbness in Iron bull's hands with each collision.
Liufei attempted to attack from the flank, his body agile, and his long sword flashing as he tried to find the weak point of the Necromancer leader. However, the Necromancer leader's armor was incredibly tough, and even Liufei's precise strikes could not inflict effective damage.
Xiao Jin searched for an opportunity from afar, shooting arrow after arrow at the Necromancer leader's eyes, hoping to temporarily blind it and create an opening for attack. However, the Necromancer leader seemed to have anticipated this, effortlessly blocking the arrows with a bone staff.
Yunyi saw the situation was not good, knowing that a head-on confrontation was not the best strategy. She shouted, "Distract its attention and look for an opportunity to strike!"
Following her command, the four of them began to disperse and attack the Necromancer leader from different directions, attempting to wear down its strength and find a weakness.
At that moment, Yunyi discovered a seam at the joint of the Necromancer leader's armor, which seemed to be its weak spot. He immediately signaled to his companions, instructing them to concentrate their firepower on that area.
Iron bull and Liufei quickly drew the attention of the Necromancer leader, preventing it from focusing on Yunyi's attacks. Meanwhile, Xiao Jin prepared a specially crafted arrow, infused with powerful explosive force.
In a carefully coordinated attack, Yunyi found the right moment and delivered a full-force strike directly into the gap. At the same time, Xiao Jin's arrow hit the target, and the explosive force blew a large hole in the armor of the Necromancer leader.
The Necromancer leader let out a scream of agony, clearly suffering a severe blow. Seizing this opportunity, Yunyi swung the sword fiercely, and finally with the help of companions, vanquished this powerful enemy.
With the fall of the Necromancer commander, the other Necromancers seemed to lose the will to fight and began to scatter and flee. Yunyi and his companions were almost too exhausted to stand, but seeing the fruits of victory made all the fatigue seem worthwhile.
"We did it," Yunyi gasped, his eyes shining with the afterglow of battle.
"Yes, but this is just the beginning. There are more challenges waiting for us ahead," responded Xiao Jin, with a determined look.
After a brief rest, Yunyi and his companions continued on their journey. Their figures gradually disappeared in the morning light. Everyone knew that only by completely eliminating all the Necromancers could the world of owls restore its former peace.
With the breaking of dawn, Yunyi and his companions' shadows lengthened in the dense forest. They passed through a tranquil path shrouded in mist and arrived at a seemingly calm but secretly turbulent valley. At the center of the valley, there was a clear pool of water with a thin layer of mist floating on the surface. Surrounding it were dense, towering ancient trees, with occasional rays of sunlight shining through the leaves, creating specks of golden light on the water's surface.
"Here... seems to be a hidden place of a certain cultivator," Liufei said in a low voice, looking around vigilantly.
Xiao Jin put away the longbow in his hand and gently touched a nearby ancient tree, "It feels like these trees are all telling ancient stories."
Iron bull Waving the battle axe in his hand, he felt uneasy about the surrounding silence: "It's too quiet, I always feel like something is lurking in the shadows."
Yunyi Standing by the pool, gazing at the water, as if contemplating something. "We must be careful, this forest is more complex than we imagined. Every step could be a trap."
