John and Taktron wove their way through the bustling crowd, with the sound of noisy laughter and fragmented conversations trailing behind them. After traversing this sea of waste and indulgence, the two finally found an escape route within the chaotic atmosphere.
"I'm telling you, this place is a maze," John sighed, brushing off the dust from his clothes before pushing open the door of the bar and stepping out into the clamor.
"You finally came out. I thought you were trapped inside." Karenmu emerged from a dark corner, wearing a worried expression on her face.
Meanwhile, Alixia gracefully stepped out from the other side of the door, sniffed the air coldly, and said, "It seems like you've had a rather 'wonderful' time." Her voice was filled with disdain.
John and Taktron exchanged a smile and awkwardly scratched the back of their heads. "Well, please don't read too much into it. The fact is, we've already received the instructions for the next step."
"Oh?" Alixia raised an eyebrow, clearly curious about this information.
"Our next goal is to locate the Chaos Cult, infiltrate it, and then kidnap their leader Molochs," John continued, "We need to interrogate him to understand the true intentions of the Chaos Cult and to find and eliminate all the chaos creatures they have summoned."
Karenmu nodded, "This is an extremely dangerous mission, but also very necessary."
Alixia looked at John coldly and said, "In that case, we better not waste any more time."
"Indeed, we should act quickly," John glanced at Taktron, who nodded in agreement.
"So, let's take action," Alixia said finally, her gaze sharp as a knife, as if she had already transcended time and space, seeing the impending end of the Chaos Cult.
Taktron's fingers moved quickly on the smart tablet, constantly sliding across the screen, selecting tags, and cracking codes. His eyes were focused, as if the whole world had shrunk to the scope of this tablet.
Finally, he stopped and stared wide-eyed, almost unable to believe what he was seeing.
"You guys need to see this," he turned the tablet towards John and Karenmu.
"I found a message about a Chaos Cult gathering that is about to take place at the Empire Cathedral in the city center. This is very unsettling in itself, but what is even more unacceptable is..." He paused for a moment, as if to emphasize his words, "the priest of the cathedral, Molochs, is the host of this gathering."
Karenmu's face became very serious, his eyes filled with questioning and concern. "Can you confirm the reliability of this information? This is very serious, and if it's true, then the situation on this entire planet may be much worse than we imagined."
Taktron nodded, "I have triple-confirmed it. The data comes from an internal report of the Empire, highly encrypted. It's basically impossible for it to be fake."
John picked up his weapon, checked the loading, and said, "It looks like we need to pay a visit to this 'holy father'."
Alixia tightly gripped her star dart gun, "If this is true, then we must act immediately. The spread of chaos pollution is much faster than you humans understand."
Karenmu concluded the brief meeting, "So it's settled. We cannot allow this to continue, not just for the empire, but for the future of all humanity and other races."
Everyone feels a heavy pressure, but they know it's something they have to bear. In their hearts, this fact makes the corruption problem on Yakannix Planet seem much more severe than originally anticipated.
As night falls, the lights make the church appear unusually magnificent. Four people dressed in ordinary clothes, with disguised smiles on their faces, blend in with the others waiting in line. At the church's entrance stands a radiant pastor, his smile twisted by chaotic forces but carefully concealed to make it difficult to detect.
Alixia scanned the surroundings with her psychic abilities, her face instantly turning grim. "Every person here has already been affected by the power of chaos," she said in a low voice, carrying a hint of chill.
What made her even more uneasy was the immense chaotic power emanating from the depths of the church, a force that almost made her feel nauseous. "Molochs is in there. I can feel his evil power."
Alixia's hands were tightly clenched, and her whole body was trembling, as if she could start attacking at any moment. But just as she was about to rush in, John quickly grabbed her arm.
"Calm down, Alixia. I know what you want to do, but right now we need a more precise plan, not impulsiveness," John's voice was firm, which made Alixia calm down slightly.
John turned to the others, "We can't let them discover our true identities. We need to quietly enter the church, find Molochs, and figure out a way to kidnap him. Everyone knows the target, so let's move fast."
The four nodded, took a deep breath, and began to move towards the entrance of the church. Every step was filled with tension and danger, but they knew that only by stopping Molochs could they protect Yakannix Planet and put an end to the impending chaos crisis.
The pastor continued to stand at the door, blessing each person with a smile and saying, "May you find new inspiration and peace here tonight." When he saw John and his team, he blessed them just like everyone else.
But John and the others knew that these so-called blessings were actually chaotic imprints. However, they had undergone special training and possessed strong willpower, so they would not easily be affected by this low-level mental control.
"Thank you for the pastor's blessing, we will cherish it," John responded to the pastor, with a barely noticeable smirk.
The four followed the other believers into the church, gradually approaching the powerful force of chaos. Alixia suppressed her inner anger and hatred, John continued to remain calm and vigilant, Taktron constantly calculated the next course of action in his mind, and Karenmu silently recited the mechanical prayers to prevent the invasion of chaos into their minds and bodies.
The pastor's figure gradually receded into the distance, and the chaotic power grew stronger and stronger. Everything in front of us is unsettling, but it also strengthens everyone's determination: we must seal this chaotic power, no matter the cost.
