As night fell, the bustling city gradually quieted down, and Jiang NanJin's home was enveloped in the gentle glow of lights. On this tranquil evening, Bai Huaiyu and Jiang NanJin stood on the balcony, gazing at the distant, brightly lit urban landscape. Their moods seemed to soften and deepen with the night.
Jiang NanJin leaned against the railing, holding a cup of freshly brewed tea, its steam curling up warmly. He turned his head to look at Bai Huaiyu beside him and noticed that she was intently staring at the night sky, her eyes sparkling with infinite dreams of the future.
"Baby, what are you thinking about?" Jiang NanJin's voice broke the surrounding silence, yet it carried no hint of disturbance.
Bai Huaiyu turned his head and smiled as he replied, "I was thinking about what kind of scenery and what kind of people we will encounter on our journey. How many stories are waiting for us to discover?"
"The scenery will be beautiful, and there will be many stories," Jiang NanJin said calmly, yet with a hint of certainty. "But the most important thing is that we can experience all of this together."
Bai Huaiyu's eyes glimmered with emotion as she gently leaned closer to Jiang NanJin, reaching out to wrap her arm around his. This simple yet intimate gesture brought their hearts even closer together.
"I sometimes feel scared," Bai Huaiyu said softly, her voice tinged with vulnerability, "afraid of encountering unexpected difficulties, afraid that I am not strong enough."
Jiang NanJin turned around, gently holding her shoulders and looking directly into her eyes. "Facing difficulties is part of the journey. But no matter what we encounter, I will be by your side. We will face it together and solve it together."
"I know," Bai Huaiyu replied softly, his eyes reflecting not only the moonlight but also a deep trust and reliance on Jiang NanJin.
Thus, the two stood quietly on the balcony for a long time, saying nothing more, yet the tacit understanding and trust in each other's hearts shone brightly and enduringly like the stars in the night sky.
Finally, Jiang NanJin broke the silence, "We should go in; we have to get up early tomorrow." His voice was gentle, as if afraid to disturb the tranquility of the night.
Bai Huaiyu nodded but suddenly said, "Wait, I want to stay here a little longer. I want to remember this moment, to remember the peace we have before we set off."
Jiang NanJin didn't speak anymore, just held her hand tightly, accompanying her to quietly feel the beauty of this moment.
Time seemed to stand still at this moment, the hustle and bustle of the city far away, leaving only two hearts nestled together in the quiet night.
As they finally walked back indoors, ready to rest, Bai Huaiyu suddenly said, "NanJin, no matter how far our journey takes us, I hope we can always remember the promise we made tonight and never let go of each other's hands."
Jiang NanJin smiled gently, her eyes filled with deep affection. "I will remember, Huaiyu. Our journey is not just an exploration to distant places; it is also a journey of the heart. We will always walk hand in hand, moving forward together."
That night, they embraced each other as they slept. In this peaceful night, Bai Huaiyu's heartbeat gently synchronized with Jiang NanJin's breathing. A satisfied smile graced her face, as if she could foresee the wonderful journey they were about to embark on.
In their dreams, they had already begun their adventure, traversing one beautiful landscape after another. They first arrived at a vibrant meadow, where swarms of butterflies danced gracefully in the air. Rainbow-colored flowers blanketed the entire view, and with every step, they trod upon the soft green grass, the air filled with the fragrance of blossoms.
"Look over there, NanJin!" Bai Huaiyu pointed at a towering mountain range in the distance, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
Jiang NanJin, who often appeared somewhat lazy in reality, also had a glimmer in his eyes in this dream. "That's our next destination," he replied, his tone filled with an unusual sense of anticipation.
Along the way, they encountered a variety of people, from wise elders to lively children, each sharing one captivating story after another. Bai Huaiyu always listened with great interest, her laughter and cheers becoming beautiful notes in their journey.
At the edge of a clear lake, they paused. The water was like a mirror, reflecting the brilliant stars in the night sky. Bai Huaiyu gently leaned on Jiang NanJin's shoulder and whispered, "Everything feels so unreal, like a dream."
Jiang NanJin Turning his head, he pierced the tranquility of the moment with his usual sharp tongue, "Fool, this was always just a dream." But his voice was filled with tenderness and indulgence.
Even in the dream, they could feel each other's warmth and support, making their journey more splendid. The dream took them to unknown places, allowing them to experience surprise after surprise. But most importantly, it made them believe even more firmly that as long as they loved each other, there was nothing they couldn't reach.

As the first rays of morning sunlight gently streamed into the bedroom, Bai Huaiyu slowly opened her eyes and found herself lying in Jiang NanJin's arms. She carefully shifted her body, trying not to wake the still-sleeping Jiang NanJin. However, just as she sat up gently, Jiang NanJin's voice suddenly rang in her ear, "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty. Did you have any sweet dreams?"
Bai Huaiyu turned to look at him and saw Jiang NanJin's half-smiling expression. She couldn't help but mumble, "How do you always manage to wake up right when I'm being the most careful?" Although her tone carried a hint of complaint, her eyes were filled with laughter.
Jiang NanJin sat up, stretched lazily, and remarked with his usual sharp tongue, "Because I'm afraid you might sneak away and leave me all alone." His tone was lighthearted, but there was a softness in his eyes, creating a contradictory expression that left Bai Huaiyu both amused and exasperated.
The morning atmosphere grew warmer with their cheerful conversation. Bai Huaiyu suggested, "Let's go out today and see if there's anything we need to pick up at the last minute."
Upon hearing this, Jiang NanJin immediately perked up. "Great! I was just thinking about checking out if there are any new comics or interesting little gadgets to bring along for the trip."
The two quickly tidied up and headed out towards the nearby shopping street. The shopping street was bustling with people, and the shops were filled with a variety of goods. As soon as Bai Huaiyu stepped inside, she seemed a bit flustered, excitedly tugging at Jiang NanJin's hand, looking this way and that.
In front of an outdoor equipment store, Bai Huaiyu stopped and looked at the various travel essentials displayed in the window. She hesitated slightly and said, "Shouldn't we buy a pair of sun protection gloves? Also, that multifunctional folding cup looks very practical."
Jiang NanJin glanced at the shopping list she was gripping tightly and chuckled helplessly, "Are you planning to move the whole house for this trip? Our backpacks have weight limits; you don't want to carry a mountain of luggage around the world, do you?"
Bai Huaiyu smiled awkwardly and said, "I'm just worried that I might need it later and didn't bring it with me."
Jiang NanJin gently patted her head and teased, "Don't worry, even if you didn't bring anything, with me around, what could you possibly lack? At most, you'll just wear fewer clothes and get a bit more sun, coming back as a little black charcoal."
Bai Huaiyu pretended to glare at him in anger but couldn't help laughing out loud. Jiang NanJin, although sharp-tongued, actually took care of her in every detail, never allowing her to suffer even the slightest grievance.
After browsing through an outdoor equipment store, the two wandered aimlessly along the commercial street. Jiang NanJin suddenly stopped in front of a bookstore window, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. "Let's go in and take a look; we might discover something interesting."
The bookstore was quiet and comfortable, with various books neatly arranged on the shelves, ranging from literature to science fiction, from history to art, everything one could wish for. Jiang NanJin headed straight for the comic section, while Bai Huaiyu was captivated by a travel book introducing the cultures of different places around the world.
In front of the bookshelf, Bai Huaiyu held the travel book in her hands, her eyes sparkling with a longing for the unknown world. Jiang NanJin walked over and, seeing her focused expression, couldn't help but tease, "Are you planning to visit every place mentioned in that book during our travels?"
Bai Huaiyu looked up, meeting his gaze that seemed to effortlessly pierce through all her little thoughts. She softly said, "That would be best, but with you by my side, anywhere is the most beautiful scenery."
Jiang NanJin, after hearing this, was momentarily at a loss for words and a strange tenderness flashed in his eyes. He reached out and gently patted her head. "Let's go, we'll buy this book as our travel guide."
Leaving the bookstore, the two of them had several books and some travel trinkets in hand. Although the shopping process was filled with Jiang NanJin's teasing and Bai Huaiyu's occasional confusion, it all contributed to the growing rapport and humor between them.
As night fell, they returned home with their bountiful haul. While organizing their new purchases, Bai Huaiyu suddenly said, "NanJin, I believe that no matter what difficulties we encounter on our travels, as long as we are together, there is nothing we can't solve."
Jiang NanJin Putting down what was in his hands, he walked over and hugged her tightly, saying, "Yes, darling, no matter how difficult it is, we will cross it together."
At this moment, both of them understood that no matter where the future journey would take them, they were not afraid because the commitment between them was more precious than any scenery in the journey.
As night deepened, Bai Huaiyu leaned on Jiang NanJin's shoulder. The two sat quietly on the balcony, gazing at the distant starry sky.
No matter where the journey would end, what mattered was that they were willing to pursue it together, facing all the beauty and challenges along the way.
