"Cooperate well and tell us what you are all up to," John said forcefully, his voice echoing in the room. "Where are you holding the chaos ritual? What have you summoned? What do you intend to do to Yakhanix?"
The atmosphere suddenly became as if it had solidified, the entire room immersed in an indescribable tension. Suddenly, a hint of madness appeared at the corner of Father Molochscreens' mouth, and then he began to convulse with laughter as if controlled by an irresistible force.
"Ha ha ha, you ants dare to question the great plan?" The priest's voice sounded like it came from the depths of hell, full of terrible confidence and arrogance.
Alixia no longer hesitated. Her body moved like a taut bowstring being released, and she struck the priest's chest with a powerful punch. Her fist cut through the chilly air, hitting the target with precision and force. A crisp impact echoed in the room, and the priest's laughter abruptly stopped.
The priest spurted out a mouthful of blood, and his arrogant smile disappeared in an instant, replaced by a kind of almost crazy ecstasy.
"The great plan is not something you few lowly mercenaries can know," he gasped, each word seeming to be squeezed out from deep within his chest.
"The great horned god in the chaos and void has already issued a divine oracle to me. You foolish creatures actually think you can stop our plans?" He roared, as if to prove his words were true with madness.
Taktron urgently tapped on his high-tech device, trying to find out the true identity and purpose of Father Molochscreens, but there was nothing in the database.
Karenmu looked at all this, a hint of a cold smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. "No matter how powerful the power of chaos is, it cannot compare to the faith of the Mechanist Church," he said.
"We will stop you and ensure the safety of this planet," John said coldly to Father Molochscreens, "If you are not willing to cooperate, then you will face the consequences." The priest shook his head, the crazy smile at the corner of his mouth reappeared, "Let's see who will have the last laugh."
John grabbed Father Molochscreens by the collar, lifting him so that his toes barely touched the ground. His face was stern, his voice filled with unrestrained anger and urgency. "Where did you conduct the ritual? What chaos demon did you summon?"
But Father Molochscreens wore a disturbingly mad smile, his pupils dilated as if controlled by an indescribable force. "Haha, looking for a surprise? Head to the industrial district south of the capital. Other than that, I have nothing to say, soldier."
Suddenly, a faint sound came from the dark corner of the warehouse, and a mouse darted quickly through the shadows, ignoring the surrounding humans. Father Molochscreens saw this and laughed in a sickly manner, "Hahaha, you see, the Great Horned God is truly favoring me!"
He instantly changed his tone, his back slightly hunched as if propped up by an evil force. He began reciting a string of chilling curses, his voice no longer human but rather a strange sound echoing from the depths of hell. "Yakhanix, Emperor, you hypocritical illusions, these decaying regimes, will all be overturned by the Great Horned God! Overturned!"
John felt a chill run down his spine, but he knew he couldn't let Molochs continue this insane ritual. He quickly made a decision, glaring sharply at Molochs, and forcefully pushed him towards his teammates.
"Alixia, Karenmu! Subdue this madman!" John shouted, turning his gaze to Alixia and Karenmu.
Alixia instantly pulled out her star dart gun and aimed it at Molochs, while Karenmu recited a mechanical prayer and her energy weapon began to glow.
"We need to get to the industrial district south of the capital," John gritted his teeth, "who knows what that madman has done there."
The priest suddenly groaned, his voice mixed with a terrible, unnatural resonance. His skin began to change color, from a normal complexion to an ink-black shade, as if absorbing all light. His facial features began to distort, his eyes bulging, his nose disappearing, and his mouth turning into a gaping fissure.
"Stay back!" John shouted.
However, it was already too late.
The priest's body ruptured like an explosion, his muscles swelling, bones twisting, transforming into a grotesque monster. His arms elongated like tentacles, with sharp claws. The ropes binding him to the chair were easily torn apart as if they were spider silk.
The monster roared and lunged straight at John.
Just then, a flash of light pierced through the air.
Alixia moved swiftly like a ghost, her star javelin cutting through the air like lightning, precisely severing the monster's head. The monster's body instantly disintegrated, turning into a puddle of black liquid, emitting a nauseating smell.
"This kind of evil must be eradicated," Alixia said coldly, her eyes devoid of any emotion.
"Thanks to you, Alixia," John breathed a sigh of relief, watching as the chaotic mess gradually disappeared, "but we can't let our guard down. We need to keep moving forward."
Alixia nodded, then turned away as if the terrifying transformation and brush with death were just a normal part of her day.
"More threats are still ahead of us," she said in a low voice, "Chaos looms over this planet, we must be careful."
John double-checked his weapons and then led the team forward, but he knew that the battle with chaos was far from over. And in this war, the outcome was so unpredictable.
