The morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, casting a warm glow on Bai Huaiyu's face and waking her from a sweet dream. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at Jiang NanJin, who was still asleep beside her, a gentle smile unconsciously appearing on her face. Today was the day they would embark on their journey, filling her heart with excitement.
Bai Huaiyu quietly climbed out of bed, trying not to make any noise so as not to wake Jiang NanJin from his slumber. She pulled back the curtains, allowing the morning light to flood into the room. The outside world had fully awakened; pedestrians hurried along the streets, and traffic flowed continuously, everything brimming with vitality.
She turned to take a glance at the still sleeping Jiang NanJin, thinking it was the right time to wake him up. She gently walked over, sat by the bed, and softly said, "NanJin, it's time to get up. We are setting off today."
Jiang NanJin slightly furrowed his brows, then slowly opened his eyes. Upon seeing Bai Huaiyu, a lazy smile appeared at the corners of his mouth. "Waking me up this early, are you sure you're not planning to sacrifice me for a smooth journey?"
Bai Huaiyu couldn't help but laugh, "If it really works, I might consider it." She replied playfully.
Jiang NanJin sat up, stretched lazily, and then looked at Bai Huaiyu with a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. "Alright, I know you can't wait to start our journey. Give me ten minutes, and we can set off."
As the dawn broke through the morning mist, the first rays of sunlight gently caressed the face of the city. The home of Bai Huaiyu and Jiang Nanjin was already filled with a bustling atmosphere before their departure.
Bai Huaiyu stood in her bedroom, her meticulously packed backpack opened on the bed. She carefully checked each item once more. From her passport to the travel guide, and that beloved camera she couldn't part with, she confirmed everything one by one, fearing she might overlook something. "Passport, tickets, wallet, and this travel guide—seems like everything is here," she murmured to herself, her brow furrowed as if ticking off items in her mind.
Jiang NanJin was in the other study, focusing on checking their electronic devices. His fingers lightly tapped on the keyboard, inspecting whether each charger had been properly stored and if the adapter plugs were also included. His expression was focused, appearing somewhat aloof, but his eyes revealed a keen excitement for the upcoming journey.
"Darling, are you sure our camera batteries and spare batteries are fully charged?" Jiang NanJin called out to her as he walked out of the study, his voice carrying an unmistakable reminder.
Bai Huaiyu was taken aback for a moment, then turned to look at her camera bag. She suddenly realized that she seemed to have forgotten this important step. "Ah, let me check," she said, awkwardly running to the desk. She quickly opened the camera bag and then revealed an embarrassed yet cute smile. "It's all charged! I remember charging it last night."
Jiang NanJin walked over and gently ruffled her hair. "You always do this every time you go out, all flustered." Despite his words, his tone was filled with affection.
They exchanged a smile and then returned to their respective preparations. Bai Huaiyu confirmed the travel supplies while Jiang NanJin checked the final electronic devices. Throughout this process, their actions were ordinary, yet filled with care and understanding for each other.
Finally, when everything was ready, they stood at the door, holding their luggage, prepared to embark on this journey. Bai Huaiyu turned to Jiang NanJin, his eyes filled with reliance on him, "Let's go, Jiang NanJin."
Jiang NanJin nodded, his gaze firm and warm. "Let's go and explore the mysterious unknown together."
They stepped out of the apartment and stood in the bustling city. Jiang NanJin looked at Bai Huaiyu and said softly, "No matter what challenges we face, don't forget to ask for my help."
Bai Huaiyu nodded, a determined light shining in his eyes. "We will have many wonderful memories."
On their way to the airport, Jiang NanJin was driving while Bai Huaiyu busily took pictures of the scenery along the roadside, each place filled with freshness. Jiang NanJin would occasionally glance over with a smile; he enjoyed seeing Bai Huaiyu so full of energy and enthusiasm.
Upon arriving at the airport, they checked in, passed through security, and finally reached the boarding gate. Standing by the window and gazing at the massive airplane outside, Bai Huaiyu couldn't help but grip Jiang NanJin's hand tightly. "We're really going."
Jiang NanJin squeezed her hand back and gently said, "Yes, our journey is about to begin."
The airplane slowly took off, carrying them away from the familiar city and towards a distant land. As she looked out at the clouds and the shrinking city below, Bai Huaiyu felt a sense of unreality mixed with excitement. She turned to Jiang NanJin and found him quietly watching her, his gaze filled with observation.
"What are you thinking about?" Bai Huaiyu asked curiously.
Jiang NanJin smiled slightly, "I was thinking about how wonderful this trip will be for us."
Bai Huaiyu nodded, "I feel the same way. I believe that no matter where we go, as long as we are together, we will definitely find our own happiness."
The plane shuttles above the clouds, carrying them towards their dream of flying. In this unknown sky, their journey has just begun, and what awaits them is countless exploration and surprises. Amidst it all, the most precious thing will be their companionship and support for each other.
As the plane speeds forward, their hearts also fly to that distant place, anticipating the discovery of a new self and the creation of their own story. And this moment is the beginning of their dream journey.
As the airplane soared through the clouds, Bai Huaiyu and Jiang Nanjin sat by the window, allowing them to fully appreciate the beauty of the sky. Bai Huaiyu pressed his face against the window, his eyes sparkling with wonder at the aerial scenery, while Jiang Nanjin leaned back in his seat, a comic book in hand, occasionally glancing outside but more often observing Bai Huaiyu's reactions.
"Look, that cloud looks like a big rabbit!" Bai Huaiyu exclaimed, pointing out the window with an innocent smile on his face.
Jiang NanJin looked up for a moment, then turned back with a teasing expression and said, "If that's a rabbit, then we must be flying on the back of a dragon right now."
Bai Huaiyu pouted and replied unhappily, "Hmph, can't you let your imagination soar for a while?"
At that moment, the flight attendant pushed the food cart down the aisle, offering airplane meals. Bai Huaiyu was immediately attracted by the food in front of her and seemed quite eager to taste the airplane meal. Jiang NanJin, on the other hand, appeared somewhat picky; he scrutinized the meal tray as if assessing whether the food would suit his taste.
When Bai Huaiyu happily took a bite of her airplane meal, her eyes lit up. "Wow, this chicken is pretty good! You should try it!" she exclaimed, excitedly extending her fork towards Jiang NanJin.
Jiang NanJin made an exaggerated sigh but still opened his mouth to take a bite. "This chicken, hmm, it's barely edible," he commented disdainfully, yet he chewed slowly, as if savoring the flavor.
After the in-flight meal, Bai Huaiyu curiously explored the various facilities on the plane, from the entertainment system to the tiny restroom, each aspect felt novel to her. Jiang NanJin lazily followed behind her, commenting lightly with his sharp tongue on everything around them.
"You see this bathroom? It's so small that it's hard to even turn around." Bai Huaiyu tentatively walked in and then complained to Jiang NanJin.
"This is called the art of space-saving; what do you know?" Jiang NanJin replied casually, but inwardly he silently agreed with Bai Huaiyu's words.
Throughout the flight, they explored this little world in the sky like two children. Although Jiang NanJin always responded with his sharp tongue, Bai Huaiyu understood that this was his way of showing concern. In these small interactions, Jiang NanJin felt more deeply the passion and optimism Bai Huaiyu had for life, which made his mood particularly light.
As the plane gradually descended, their journey was about to enter a whole new phase. When they got off the plane, Bai Huaiyu accidentally stumbled, but fortunately, Jiang NanJin caught her just in time. He teasingly remarked, "It seems the first lesson of this journey is to learn how to walk."
Bai Huaiyu chuckled and gave him a push. "Stop laughing at me! Let's hurry and explore the new world!"
