Vick the forsaken The laughter echoed in the morning air, accompanied by his applause, sounding particularly excited: "Congratulations on being crowned king! What is our first order of business?"
His expression carried sincere blessings for Van Loon, as well as curiosity and anticipation for the future. Van Loon felt the support from a former enemy who was now a loyal companion.
The surrounding flock of goat also focused their gaze on Van Loon, their eyes full of anticipation as if asking: What should we do next? Van Loon took a deep breath, pondered for a moment, and began to outline his plan.
First, he decided to tidy up the fatigue and chaos left behind by yesterday's turmoil. He knew that this was the first step in rebuilding order and stability in the lives of the flock of goat. Then, he turned his thoughts to the masked figure mentioned by Vick the forsaken. This mysterious figure had influenced the undead creatures of the Skull Desert, making them more aggressive and frenzied. Van Loon knew that such a threat could happen again, and he had to be prepared. He began planning to establish stronger defense measures, including setting up alerts and protections around the area where the flock of goat lived.
Van Loon also considered the humans mentioned by Jin, and the federal. The powerful alliance of these humans may pose a threat to their forest and flock of goat. He believes that understanding the movements and intentions of the federal humans is crucial to protecting the flock of goat and the forest. Therefore, he plans to dispatch some reliable members of the flock of goat, or utilize the abilities of Vick the forsaken, to gather intelligence about the federal.
In Van Loon's mind, these plans gradually come together like a puzzle. He understands that as the new ruler, he needs to take on more responsibility for the future and safety of the flock of goat. The trust and expectations of Vick the forsaken and the flock of goat give him unlimited motivation to realize these plans.
His gaze swept over every goat present, and he saw their longing for the future and their need for safety. Then, he turned to Vick the forsaken with a more serious tone: "We also need to guard against future threats. Vick, your mention of the masked figure and the undead creatures of the skeletal desert proves that the risks we face far exceed our imagination."
Van Loon's eyes shimmered with determination. "We need to establish stronger defense measures to protect our community from external threats. We will set up a warning system and train our own guards. This is not only for ourselves, but also for our future safety."
flock of goat listened quietly, their eyes filled with trust and admiration. Vick the forsaken chuckled softly, seemingly pleased with Van Loon's plan. He clapped his hands and nodded in approval, "Very good, our new king already has a clear plan."
Van Loon stood in the center of flock of goat, commanding the flock with his innate dignity. He couldn't speak, but every movement clearly conveyed his instructions. First, he approached the elder goat, gently nudging it with his head, then turned towards the direction of the injured, using his eyes and subtle hoof gestures to indicate that they were responsible for caring for the injured. The elder goats, watching Van Loon's movements, seemed to understand his intent and began to move slowly, starting to carry out their tasks.
Next, Van Loon turned to the mother flock of goat and gently nudged a few of the ewes with his head, then pointed to a distant patch of grass. He lightly scraped the ground with his hooves, mimicking the action of gathering herbs. The ewes watched Van Loon's demonstration and then followed suit, beginning to search for herbs around the area.
Then, his attention turned to the young male goats. They eagerly awaited Van Loon's instructions. Van Loon approached Vick the forsaken and gestured towards the ground with his horns, then made a digging motion. Vick the forsaken immediately understood Van Loon's intent, picked up a shield from the ground, and began demonstrating how to use this makeshift tool to level the soil. Though somewhat clumsy, Vick's actions inspired the young rams to join in the effort of tilling the land.
Under the silent command of Van Loon, the entire community became busy, each taking on different responsibilities. This non-verbal way of communication seemed more natural and effective. Van Loon expressed his intentions through body language, and the flock of goat responded to his leadership through action. Their collaboration made the post-disaster reconstruction work progress harmoniously and methodically.
As the organization proceeded steadily, Van Loon sat on the side in the mud, holding a wooden stick, and drew a rectangle on the ground, contemplating the territorial planning of the goat community. His thoughts were clear and organized. Within the rectangle formed on the mud, he planned out the future living space for the flock of goat step by step. First was the resting area, a quiet and comfortable place for the goat to rest and recover their strength. He lightly marked out an area on the mud with the wooden stick and drew a small circle in the center, symbolizing a gathering place.
Next is the Storage area. Van Loon thought about the need for a place to store food and herbs, and this area needs to be dry and easily accessible. He drew several squares in another corner, representing the storage room.
The medical area is crucial for them, especially after going through this battle. Van Loon drew an area near the water source and added a few small crosses, indicating that this is the place for treating and caring for the injured flock of goat.
The training ground considered more of the potential threats in the future. Van Loon drew a large circle on the ground, symbolizing that flock of goat can learn defense and attack skills here.
Finally, he stopped to consider the need for a learning area. If these goat could be taught more knowledge and skills, the overall survival ability of the group would be greatly improved. So, he drew a new block in a blank area on the map and drew an open book in the middle, symbolizing knowledge and learning.
Van Loon took a few steps back, looking satisfactorily at his plans. He knew that these couldn't be accomplished in a short time, but it was a good start. The golden headdress on his head shone, more like a symbol of a sage and a leader.
