As time passed, the relationship between Lin Xiaoxiao and Gu sha deepened, but at this time, a crisis quietly emerged.
On this day, Lin Xiaoxiao came to Underworld as usual to find Gu sha, but unexpectedly encountered Sheng Bai. Sheng Bai was dressed in all white, matching his name, and he approached Lin Xiaoxiao with an imperceptible cunning.

Lin Xiaoxiao wrinkled her nose and her straightforward nature made her unwilling to beat around the bush: "Sheng Bai sir, are you trying to win me over? Or do you have other intentions?" Her voice carried a hint of playfulness, but her eyes revealed caution.
Sheng Bai was amused by this sudden directness. He chuckled lightly, adopting a more relaxed attitude: "Miss Lin is truly clever. Of course, I have taken note of your abilities. However, whether it's winning you over or cooperating, matters concerning Underworld are always unpredictable. Sometimes, having one more friend is always a good thing."
Lin Xiaoxiao shook her head and smiled in response, "Friend? In the Underworld, that seems too extravagant of a term. I trust my own judgment and the support of Gu sha." Her tone revealed determination, as well as a hint of impatience with the complex situation in the Underworld.
Seeing this, Sheng Bai no longer insisted, but simply smiled as if he had expected Lin Xiaoxiao's response, "Since Miss Lin is so determined, I won't insist. However, with the ever-changing situation in the Underworld, I hope you can handle it with care."
In the end, Sheng Bai elegantly bowed and took his leave, saying, "Well then, I won't disturb Miss Lin in her search for Gu Sha. Until we meet again." He turned and left, leaving Lin Xiaoxiao standing in place, her eyes flashing with contemplation.
As Lin Xiaoxiao watched his departing figure, she began to feel confused and uneasy. She started to realize that she may have truly underestimated the complexity of the Underworld. Although the conversation had no apparent outcome, it deepened Lin Xiaoxiao's understanding of the power distribution and potential dangers within the Underworld. It also made her more cautious and curious about the character of Sheng Bai.
When she found Gu sha, and told him about the matter with Sheng Bai, Gu sha's face darkened. "Sheng Bai's thoughts are hard to fathom. He must have a deeper purpose for doing this."
Lin Xiaoxiao looked at Gu sha with concern, "What should we do then?"
Gu sha After a moment of contemplation, a firmness flashed in his eyes, "No matter what, I cannot let his plan succeed. Xiao Xiao, it's best for you to stay away from Underworld for a while to avoid getting involved in more trouble."
Lin Xiaoxiao bit her lip, feeling uneasy. She came to Underworld partly out of curiosity for this unknown world, and partly to spend more time with Gu sha. Now, hearing Gu sha say this, she felt very disappointed.
"I don't want to leave you," Lin Xiaoxiao said softly, her eyes filled with determination.
Gu Sha looked at her, with a hint of tenderness in his eyes. "I know, I don't want you to leave either. But right now, the most important thing is to ensure your safety. However, this doesn't mean we have to cut off contact. We can find other ways to stay in touch."
Lin Xiaoxiao nodded, although reluctant, she knew Gu sha was right. She didn't want to cause more trouble for Gu sha because of her own stubbornness.
"Okay, I will listen to you," Lin Xiaoxiao finally agreed to Gu sha's suggestion, but she secretly made up her mind to find out Sheng Bai's true intentions and protect the precious relationship between her and Gu sha.
Lin Xiaoxiao, under Gu sha's insistence, began to reduce her visits to the Underworld, but her curiosity and longing for Gu sha drove her to find other ways to maintain their connection. One day, Lin Xiaoxiao received a mission to investigate a mischievous spirit disrupting the order of the human world. She moved through the bustling streets of the human world with determination, wearing her iconic loose T-shirt and jeans, with a lucky charm pendant around her neck, ready to embark on her mission.
During the investigation, Lin Xiaoxiao quickly found the disruptive soul in a coffee shop and, without hesitation, made her way through the crowd directly to the corner where it was located.
As she approached, Lin Xiaoxiao softly spoke, trying not to attract attention from others: "Hey, I know you're here. Why don't we have a chat and see if we can find a solution?" Her voice carried deliberate gentleness, attempting to calm the restless soul.
However, the soul clearly has no intention of cooperating. A sudden cold wind blows through the room, causing decorations in the coffee shop to sway inexplicably. Some customers begin to feel uneasy, looking around for the cause.
Lin Xiaoxiao furrowed her brow, unwilling to give up easily. "Come on, don't be like this. Acting this way will only cause more people distress. We can find a better way to solve the problem."
The soul's response is a stronger resistance, and the cups and plates on the table start to collide inexplicably, making a piercing sound. The crowd in the coffee shop begins to fall into a slight panic.
Lin Xiaoxiao tries to stay calm, but her inner anxiety is growing: "Well, it seems like you're not going to talk nicely." Her tone becomes firm, preparing to take more decisive action.
At this moment, the behavior of the spirits suddenly intensified, causing chaos in the coffee shop. Cups and saucers not only collided but even began to float in the air, then violently crashed to the ground and shattered.
Lin Xiaoxiao hurriedly looked around for a way to calm the chaos, while trying to reassure the frightened customers, "Everyone, don't panic, everything is under control, just a little trouble." Although she tried to keep her voice calm, the situation clearly exceeded her expectations.
"Hey! You little escapee, behave yourself!" Lin Xiaoxiao muttered as she tried to use her abilities to subdue the spirit.
The spirit attempted to escape, but Lin Xiaoxiao cleverly tripped it with a coffee cup from the table, astonishing the people around. Seizing the opportunity, Lin Xiaoxiao quickly used the talisman she carried with her to seal the spirit.
After completing the mission, Lin Xiaoxiao sat in the corner of the coffee shop, panting, with a smug smile on her face. She took out her phone and sent a message to Gu sha: "Today's mission was successfully completed again! Although there were some minor hiccups along the way." She then added a winking emoji.
Gu sha received the message at Underworld, with a worried and helpless expression on his face. He replied, "You caused trouble again? Be careful, don't always be so stubborn."
"Hmph, I didn't cause any trouble! I was just solving a problem," Lin Xiaoxiao replied, attaching a proud selfie.
Gu sha looked at Lin Xiaoxiao's photo, sighed deeply, but felt warmth in his heart. "As long as you're safe, everything is fine," he thought silently in his heart.
During this time, Gu sha has been dealing with various matters in the Underworld. Whenever it gets late and quiet, he would think of Lin Xiaoxiao's smiling face and her straightforward words. He is becoming increasingly worried about Lin Xiaoxiao's safety, because even though the missions in the human world are relatively simple, unpredictable dangers still exist.
One night, Gu sha couldn't help but message Lin Xiaoxiao again: "Xiao Xiao, have you encountered any difficulties during this time? If you need help, even if I'm not by your side, I will definitely find a way to rush over to support you."
Lin Xiaoxiao saw this message and felt a warmth in her heart. "Don't worry, I will be careful. With your words, I feel like no difficulty is a problem," she replied, then added, "Wait until I have solved more missions, I will surprise you with my abilities!"
Gu sha could only smile bitterly. He knew Lin Xiaoxiao's stubbornness and independence, as well as her determination.
