The Kiss of Oblivion 6: Mudslide Night: Dilemma and Memories

The heavy rain lasted all night and finally stopped. I got up, washed up, and prepared to check out. However, when I was checking out, I heard the staff at the front desk say that last night's heavy rain had triggered a mudslide. Many roads were closed, including the one I take to get home. It seemed that fate didn't want me to leave. I had no choice but to extend my stay and continue waiting at the hotel. 0

In the evening, I had a dream. I dreamed about three years ago, on the day of Fang Bo's incident. I received a call from Dong Hui, saying that Fang Bo was in trouble and urging me to hurry to the hospital. I rushed to the hospital only to find Fang Bo looking confused. "Who are you?" he didn't recognize me anymore. 0

I held back my tears, comforting myself that he was just temporarily suffering from amnesia. The doctor examined him and concluded that he very likely had amnesia. I was unwilling to accept this fact and cried, begging the doctor to help him regain his memory. The doctor sighed, "We will do our best." 0

During that time, I stayed with him in the hospital. Dong Hui and Dong Chen often came to visit him. Fang Bo gradually accepted that Dong Chen was his fiancée, but he could never remember that he had a girlfriend. Occasionally, when he looked at me, his gaze was somewhat bewildered. "Did we know each other before?" 0

I forced a smile and said, "Of course we did; I'm your sister." 0

As time passed day by day, everyone accepted this fact. They urged me to leave, saying that a forced relationship would not be sweet. I gradually realized that although I was the legitimate girlfriend of Fang Bo, neither my family nor Fang Bo's family wanted us to be together. They all hoped that Fang Bo would be with Dong Chen. 0

I looked at my pale reflection in the mirror and smiled mockingly. I organized all the memories of my relationship with Fang Bo, printed them into a booklet, and handed it to him. I hoped he could remember everything. But Dong Hui burned that booklet to ashes right in front of me. 0

"Dong Lan, why do you have to do this? Even if he remembers, what can change? You two can never be together." I looked at him coldly and said, "What does this have to do with you?" Dong Hui's expression turned serious: "I just don't want you to get hurt anymore." 0

"This is my life! Even if I get hurt, it's my own business!" Dong Hui sighed: "Why are you so stubborn?" Yes, why was I so stubborn? Because I really liked Fang Bo. 0

On the day I returned home, when I saw Fang Bo, he called my name uncertainly. It wasn't because he remembered me; it was probably just out of familiarity. When I opened my eyes again, it was already eight in the morning. 0

The heavy rain poured outside, and the room was dimly lit. I groggily turned on the light and then noticed that my phone had many missed calls and messages. They were all from familiar people. Just as I was wondering why they had called me so many times, I suddenly saw a message from Sun Yang. 0

"I'm almost at the airport; I'm waiting for you." 0

My flight home was at 10:30 AM today. I quickly got out of bed, packed my things, and headed to the airport. The plane was set to take off in half an hour, so I needed to hurry to check in. I quickly freshened up and pulled my suitcase out the door. 0

Once everything was sorted, I sat at the boarding gate and remembered those missed calls and messages. I took out my phone and opened them one by one. 0

"Dong Lan, is Fang Bo with you?" 0
"Dong Lan, Fang Bo is missing!" 0
"Dong Lan, where are you? Is Fang Bo with you?" 0

Seeing these messages made me furrow my brow. These messages shouldn't have appeared at this time; they should have been sent during Fang Bo and Dong Chen's engagement ceremony. 0
