I was lost in thought when a sudden announcement broke through the air.
"Attention passengers heading to Security Checkpoint 3, please be advised that there may be an issue with your luggage. Kindly proceed to the security channel for assistance. Thank you for your cooperation."
I froze for a moment, realizing I still had a flight to catch. How could there be a problem with my luggage at this time? I quickly dragged my suitcase back.
As I approached the security checkpoint, I spotted a familiar figure.
Fang Bo.
Wasn't he supposed to be at the Engagement Ceremony? Why was he here?
Fang Bo noticed me too; his eyes instantly reddened, and his voice was hoarse.
"I remember everything."
I was taken aback, then it dawned on me that he was recalling our past.
A surge of indescribable emotions washed over me, but I quickly regained my composure.
"Oh, then congratulations."
After saying that, I turned to leave with my suitcase.
"Xiao Lan!" Fang Bo suddenly called out to me.
I paused and turned back to face him.
"What is it?"
His gaze was deep and intense. "I remember everything—every single thing."
"Okay, and then?"
Fang Bo bit his lip as if he had made up his mind.
"Come back with me, please?"
"I'm sorry, but I have to board my flight."
Without warning, Fang Bo strode over and grabbed my wrist firmly.
"I want you to come back with me!"
I frowned at him, "What are you doing? Let go of me!"
Fang Bo's eyes were red, staring at me intensely, as if he wanted to devour me whole.
"I will never let you go!"
I struggled hard, but he only tightened his grip.
"Fang Bo! Let go of me! If you keep this up, I will call the police!"
Fang Bo continued to stare at me without saying a word.
I was frightened by his gaze, and my heart involuntarily trembled.
"Fang Bo, what do you want?"
Fang Bo opened his mouth, about to speak, when several Security personnel suddenly rushed over.
"Sir, please calm down!"
I was rescued and quickly hid behind the Security personnel.
"Fang Bo, just go. I want to go home."
Fang Bo looked at me with red-rimmed eyes, his expression desperate and helpless.
"Do you really hate me that much?"
"I..."
I was about to respond when Fang Bo suddenly closed his eyes and fainted!
His face turned an abnormal pale white.
"Fang Bo!"
I shouted and rushed over.
I sat outside the hallway, staring blankly at the words "Emergency Room."
So much had happened today; the information was overwhelming, and I still couldn't make sense of it all.
All I wanted was to go home; why was it so difficult?
It seems that ever since I came to this city three years ago, I have felt out of place. Perhaps my arrival disrupted the balance, and now everyone can't stand to see me doing well. I sighed helplessly, lost in thought when suddenly a hurried sound of footsteps echoed down the corridor.
I looked up to see a group of people approaching from the end of the hallway. It was Fang Bo's parents, Dong Chen, Dong Hui, and my own parents.
"Uncle and Auntie, you’re here," I greeted them.
Fang Bo's mother quickly asked me, "Xiao Lan, where is Fang Bo?"
"Inside," I pointed towards the emergency room. "The doctor hasn't come out yet."
As soon as I finished speaking, Fang Bo's parents rushed to the glass outside the ward, anxiously observing the situation inside. I realized it was time for me to leave.
Just as I was about to walk away, "slap!" A heavy blow landed on my face.
I turned to see who had hit me—it was Dong Chen. She glared at me fiercely, her eyes filled with resentment.
"Where did you take Fang Bo? Give him back to me!"
Without saying a word, I raised my hand and slapped Dong Chen back.
With a loud "smack," a bright red handprint appeared on Dong Chen's face. She covered her cheek, looking at me in disbelief.
