"Are you hitting me?"
I looked at her coldly. "On what basis are you slandering me without any evidence?"
Dong Chen gritted her teeth. "Who else could it be if not you? If you hadn't taken Fang Bo away, how could he have disappeared from the Engagement ceremony?"
I smiled. "Then you should ask yourself."
"You dare to retort!" Dong Chen said, raising her hand again.
I tightly grasped her wrist.
"Dong Chen, do you think I'm still the Dong Lan from three years ago, the one you could bully?"
Dong Chen glared at me fiercely, and suddenly, she struggled and fell towards me.
I instinctively dodged to the side, and Dong Chen fell to the ground.
"Dong Lan! What are you doing?"
Dong Hui suddenly rushed over, pushing me aside and crouching down to help Dong Chen up.
"Dong Lan, you're going too far!"
I looked at him with a cold smile. "Dong Hui, why didn't you stop your sister when she was hitting me just now? Isn't it a bit late to play the good guy now?"
Dong Hui glared at me, his eyes seeming to spit fire.
"Why are you so stubborn?"
"Stubborn is better than being weak like you."
"You!"
Dong Hui was furious; he stood up and raised his hand to hit me.
I raised my hand and slapped him.
"Smack!"
Five clear fingerprints appeared on Dong Hui's face.
"Brother!" Dong Chen exclaimed, quickly grabbing Dong Hui's hand.
"Brother, are you okay?"
Dong Hui covered his face, glaring at me with a sinister look.
"Dong Lan, you’re asking for trouble!"
"I don't know about asking for trouble, but I think you're wasting air by being alive."
"Dong Lan!"
Our parents came over, pointing their fingers at me and scolding me.
"How can you hit your brother!"
"Why can't I hit him?" I retorted. "When his sister hits me, why doesn't he care?"
"You!"
"Besides, haven't you always thought I was embarrassing? Now that Dong Chen has lost Fang Bo, who do you think is more embarrassing?"
I sneered, "What you said before is now coming back to haunt you."
Dong Chen and Dong Hui's faces turned pale, while our parents looked very grim.
At that moment, Fang Bo's voice suddenly came from the bed.
"What are you all arguing about?"
I turned to the sound and saw Fang Bo weakly leaning against the hospital bed, frowning at us.
"Fang Bo!"
Dong Chen was the first to react; she excitedly ran over and threw herself beside Fang Bo.
"Fang Bo, you're awake! How do you feel?"
Fang Bo pushed her hand away, searching for something among us with his eyes.
"Where's Dong Lan?"
Dong Chen's body jolted as she widened her eyes in shock at Fang Bo.
"Fang Bo, don't you remember? Today is our engagement ceremony!"
"I know," Fang Bo said calmly. "I have regained my memories."
At his words, everyone present was taken aback.
Fang Bo looked around before finally fixing his gaze on me.
"Dong Lan," he called softly.
The words I wanted to say got stuck in my throat. I stared at him, unable to utter a single word.
Fang Bo's eyes lingered on me for a long time before he turned away to face the others.
"When I had amnesia, you all were deceiving me."
"Uncle Dong, Aunt Dong, didn't you both dislike Dong Lan? Why keep it from me?"
"Parents, you deceived me too. If I hadn't regained my memories, would I have been forced to be separated from Dong Lan for life?"
"Dong Hui, I considered you a brother, yet you treated your sister this way. How could you do that to her?"
"Dong Chen, I thought of you as a sister. What about you? How could you do this to me?"
Fang Bo's questions echoed in the ears of everyone present, and each person lowered their heads in guilt, unable to meet his eyes.
"Fang Bo..." Dong Chen cried, tears streaming down her face. "Haven't I treated you well? Why are you..."
Fang Bo sighed. "You have been good to me, but I only see you as a sister."
"Fang Bo..."
"Enough, Dong Chen, stop crying."
Fang Bo's parents looked at their son with deep concern and quickly apologized.
