In the previous moment, he had appeared ruthless enough to want to kill her, but in the next, he suddenly asked if she was hungry. What on earth was going through his mind?
At this moment, Le Yao Yao felt confused and puzzled, simply nodding in response.
Suddenly, the man who had been looming over her withdrew. The pressure above her dissipated, and Le Yao Yao felt a wave of relief wash over her. Tentatively, she began to straighten her back, which had been bent for so long.
However, her beautiful large eyes never left the man in front of her. They were filled with a hint of vigilance and caution.
In response to Le Yao Yao's wary gaze, Leng Junyu merely blinked. After all, he was used to such looks; they were nothing new to him.
To the world, he was like a ruthless devil, capable of taking lives with a mere smile.
Indeed, he had done such things in the past, so it was no wonder that others feared him.
Yet, the fear reflected in Le Yao Yao's eyes and her wariness towards him stirred a slight displeasure within him.
He did not like this feeling at all.
Though Leng Junyu thought this way, his expression remained cold as ice. His eyes, like cold stars, were dark and unfathomable, making it impossible for anyone to discern his thoughts.
Le Yao Yao quietly observed this enigmatic man before reaching behind her waist to gently rub her sore lower back, which had ached from maintaining that bent posture for so long.
As she pondered quietly in her heart, she couldn't help but wonder if this man would let her go given his current expression.
Should she leave now, or should she stay here, filled with worry and fear?
Just as Le Yao Yao was hesitating and feeling anxious, the man, known as the Living Yama, spoke again.
"Since you're hungry, why not eat something?"
"Uh?"
Upon hearing this, Le Yao Yao was taken aback. She blinked her sparkling beautiful eyes, a look of confusion crossing her face.
Eat something!?
Did he mean...
Following the Living Yama's gaze, Le Yao Yao turned to look at the Osmanthus Cake placed on the stone table behind her.
She had just embarrassed herself because she couldn't resist the aroma of that Osmanthus Cake. Was this Living Yama actually suggesting that she eat it!?
But why?
Hadn't he just wanted to kill her? Why was he suddenly so kind as to offer her food when he heard her stomach rumbling?
Was there something wrong with this Osmanthus Cake!?
As soon as this thought crossed her mind, Le Yao Yao felt the temperature around her drop several degrees in an instant. She shivered, and when she turned her gaze, she was met with a pair of icy Frosty eyes glaring fiercely at her. Le Yao Yao felt a chill run down her spine.

That damned servant! He kindly offered 'him' something to eat, and 'he' actually suspected him of having ulterior motives!?
The more he thought about it, the more displeased Leng Junyu became, and his expression turned as cold as a thick layer of ice.
It was terrifying, making people afraid to approach.
"Since you think this pastry is poisoned, then don't eat it!"
His voice was devoid of warmth, like the cold that comes when ice melts in spring, making one feel as if they were trapped in an Ice Cave.
