Sela's eyes sparkled with wisdom as she continued, "But, Oman, adventure is always full of unknowns and surprises. Who knows, maybe you will truly find the mysterious ' Solar Eyes' on this journey and unravel the mysteries surrounding the lost empire."
A hint of determination and anticipation appeared on Oman's face as he responded, "Yes, Sela, I believe we can do it. Our team has the capability and the determination to unveil all these mysteries."
Sela raised her glass, her eyes shining with the same anticipation and excitement: "Haha, I believe too. Cheers, to our upcoming adventure and all the amazing secrets that may be revealed!"
The others raised their glasses in response, the sound of clinking filling the air at the table, brimming with joy and anticipation. They knew that this journey might be full of challenges and the unknown, but it was precisely this passion for exploring the unknown that made them more determined and excited.
The night gradually falls, and the joyful atmosphere of dinner slowly dissipates. Everyone's faces are filled with satisfied smiles, their stomachs full of the satisfaction brought by the local cuisine. They slowly walk back to the apartment, discussing interesting topics from dinner and their anticipation for future adventures.
On the streets, the nighttime bustle gradually subsides, leaving only occasional passing vehicles and the distant noise of the night market. The air carries a faint desert flavor, allowing people to feel the unique nighttime atmosphere of Egypt.
Oman and Max returned to their shared room. Although the room was simple, it provided all the comfort they needed. Oman gently put down his luggage and looked at Max with a mix of anticipation and unease in his eyes.
"How do you think tomorrow will be?" Oman asked, his voice tinged with anticipation and curiosity.
Max sat on the bed with a smile, responding, "Every adventure is a new challenge, Oman. But I believe that as long as we stay vigilant, everything will be fine."
"I know, but I'm still a little nervous," Oman admitted honestly, his eyes revealing the typical worries of a young person.
"This is normal," Max comforted him, "Remember, you are not alone in this battle. We are a team, and we will support each other."
Oman nodded, feeling a little lighter in his heart. Max's words gave him confidence and courage.
"I will do my best," Oman said firmly.
"I know you will, Oman. Now, the best preparation is to rest well," Max stood up and patted his shoulder, signaling him to go to sleep.
Oman smiled and nodded, thanking Max for his support and encouragement. They both knew that the days ahead would be full of challenges, but also full of opportunities. They turned off the lights, each lying in bed, immersed in dreams of the adventures to come, slowly drifting off to sleep.
As the first light of dawn illuminated the room, Oman and Max quickly began their day. They packed up their gear, including essential tents, archaeological tools, and other survival supplies. Today, they would be heading to a mysterious location in the southwest corner of Kummah Amir, known as "the tomb" by the local residents, with Dr. Sela and Lao Zhong.
Oman checked his backpack, making sure everything was properly placed. His heart was racing with excitement and nervousness, as this was his first time participating in such an important archaeological excavation.
"This will be an unforgettable experience," Max said, his voice filled with anticipation.
Oman nodded and responded, "I think so too. We might discover something significant."
Accompanied by Sela and Dr. Lao Zhong, they left the apartment and boarded the waiting vehicle outside. The vehicle slowly departed from the town and began to travel along the rugged road towards the place known as the tomb. Along the way, the surrounding scenery gradually became desolate, with only occasional trees and distant sand dunes.
The vehicle continued to move on the bumpy road, and Oman inquired about Nicholas and other team members' information gathering and relationship maintenance in the town. Max replied, " Nicholas and Elisa are mainly responsible for establishing relationships with the local government and tribal leaders in town. Their work is crucial and can help us gain support and intelligence locally, especially for such adventurous activities."
Sela added, "They also engage with local scholars and history enthusiasts, hoping to obtain more information about the lost empire from them. This information is valuable to us and can guide our exploration."
Dr. Lao Zhong nodded in agreement: "In this type of exploration, we not only need our own knowledge and skills, but also the help and guidance of the local people. Without their assistance, it's difficult for us to delve into such mysterious areas."
The vehicle continued to shuttle through the dust. Inside the car, the conversation of Dr. Lao Zhong, Oman, Max, and Sela intertwined, forming an exploration of the unknown and a reflection on the past.
Sela introduced, "The Graveyard is a place that locals avoid at all costs, not only because of the severe subsidence of the ground, but also because it is the site of the lost empire's destruction, shrouded in a mysterious and fearful atmosphere."
Oman listened intently, his imagination soaring in response to these descriptions.
Max asked Sela: "Are there really so many ominous legends in this area?"
Sela nodded and said, "Yes, the local residents firmly believe in these legends. They believe that the events that occurred in this land surpass the scope of modern scientific explanation."
Lao Zhong Dr. Zhe then joined the discussion: "Regardless, our goal is to uncover the truth behind these legends, no matter how unbelievable they may be."
In this conversation, the vehicle finally arrived at its destination. The scenery outside the car felt somewhat oppressive, with the edge of the desert appearing desolate and mysterious. The atmosphere inside the car also became serious, and everyone realized that they were about to step into a world full of unknowns.
"Whatever secrets this place may hold," Max said, "we will uncover them all."
Their adventure began in this desert shrouded by ancient legends.
