In the slowly moving crowd, Jack and Li Ang waited quietly. When they finally approached the ticket booth at the entrance, Jack carefully took out a small communicator from his pocket. He looked around to make sure no one noticed them, then brought the communicator close to his mouth and said in a low voice, "Lucy! Can you hear me?"
There was silence in the communicator for a moment, then Lucy's voice came through clearly, with a hint of nervousness and concern, "Reception is good! Are you two okay?"
Jack nodded slightly, even though Lucy couldn't see it, he instinctively made the gesture. "We're okay, about to go in. How are things on your end?" His tone revealed a hint of nervousness and anticipation.
Lucy's voice carried a hint of playfulness, "You two! Look back!" Jack and Li Ang turned their heads at the same time, looking in the direction she indicated. Their gaze quickly fell on a slowly advancing mech, draped in tattered cloth, looking very inconspicuous. But Jack immediately recognized it as his Roc Wings mech, just undergoing some quick and rough disguise.
Lucy is driving this disguised Roc Wings cautiously through the crowd, heading towards the registration area of the arena. Even under this disguise, the Roc Wings still exudes an undeniable sense of threat with its lines and posture.
Jack couldn't help but comment, "This disguise... is really straightforward, isn't it?" His words carried a hint of helplessness and humor.
On the other end of the communicator, Lucy chuckled softly, her voice carrying a hint of mischief. "No choice, time is tight. As long as we can get through, it's fine."
Li Ang nodded, seemingly unsurprised by this impromptu strategy. "In this kind of situation, the simplest method is often the most effective. As long as we can get Lucy successfully registered, everything else is not a problem."
Jack once again turned his gaze forward, silently praying for everything to go smoothly. Although their plan was simple, executing it was filled with uncertainty and risk. However, it was precisely this unknown and challenge that made their actions more exciting and thrilling. Jack took a deep breath, refocused his mind, and prepared to face whatever might happen next.
After a long and slow wait, Jack and Li Ang finally arrived at the ticket booth of Duel Kingdom. In front of them stood a ticket seller in tattered uniform, with a cold and indifferent expression, looking as if they were already tired of the job. When Jack and Li Ang approached the counter, the ticket seller lazily raised their head, glanced at them, and asked in a cold tone, "How many tickets?"
Jack seemed a little nervous, but he quickly composed himself and used his eyes to signal that it was Li Ang's turn to speak. Li Ang hesitated for a moment, realizing that it was his turn to speak, and quickly replied, "Ah, two tickets."
The ticket seller didn't seem surprised by their response, and didn't even look at them much. But when he announced the ticket price, there was a hint of impatience in his voice: "That will be a total of eight hundred Federation credits."
Upon hearing the price, Li Ang's face immediately darkened, his brows furrowed tightly, clearly displeased with the cost. He took out his wallet, calculating inwardly that the price was undoubtedly a burden on their budget. But considering their goal, he reluctantly took out a large-denomination banknote from his wallet and handed it to the ticket seller.
The ticket seller took the money and mechanically began to give change, but his actions clearly lacked enthusiasm. He casually tossed the change and two tickets onto the counter, then turned away as if the two of them no longer existed.
Li Ang picked up the tickets and change, his dissatisfaction becoming more apparent on his face. He glanced back at Jack, seeming to want to complain, but ultimately didn't say anything. Jack gently patted his shoulder in comfort, and then the two of them walked towards the entrance together. Entering the Duel Kingdom, for them, was just the beginning of the whole plan.
Jack and Li Ang shuttled through the crowded people of Duel Kingdom, quickly ascending the narrow and steep stairs to the second floor. As they climbed, the surrounding noise and excited shouts gradually became clearer. Their goal was to find a suitable position, to get the best view in the audience seats, in order to lay the foundation for the upcoming actions.
The audience seats on the second floor are arranged in a circular layout, tightly surrounding the central arena. From here, the audience can fully appreciate every detail in the arena. Jack and Li Ang quickly scanned the crowded seats, looking for their positions. They both knew that choosing a good vantage point was crucial for their plan.
Luckily, they soon found several empty seats in a corner of the audience section, slightly concealed but with an excellent view. They hurried over, weaving through rows of excited spectators, and finally reached the vacant seats. Once seated, Jack and Li Ang immediately began familiarizing themselves with the environment, noting the surrounding entrances and escape routes, just in case.
Their gaze passed over the heads of the audience, focusing tightly on the central arena. From this vantage point, they could clearly see all the action in the arena and easily observe any suspicious behavior. Jack and Li Ang exchanged a look full of trust, silently indicating that they were ready to face the upcoming challenge.
