The little beauty driving the Lamborghini was truly a spicy pepper. She hurriedly ran onto the minibus with her backpack, stuck out her little tongue, and flashed her two small tiger teeth at all the passengers, apologizing, "Sorry, I got delayed on the road while dodging a little dog crossing the street. My name is Tang Hao'er, nice to meet everyone."
This excuse for being late was so powerful that it left no room for rebuttal.
Ye Tong chuckled and extended his hand toward Tang Hao'er. "Hello, I'm Ye Tong. My dad is Ye Xiaozhou."
Tang Hao'er giggled and shook Ye Tong's hand. "My dad is way more famous than yours; my dad is Li Gang."
Ye Tong felt his face flush red from Tang Hao'er's remark. He was used to introducing himself by mentioning his father's name first, but this Tang Hao'er had immediately hit him with a 'my dad is Li Gang' joke upon meeting.
Regardless of who Li Gang was, just the fact that her surname was Tang and his was Ye didn't add up.
However, since Tang Hao'er had revealed her name and confirmed that she belonged to the Tang family, it validated Fang Jia Shen's speculation that this little pepper probably came from the Old Tang Family.
If Tang Hao'er was indeed from the Old Tang Family, Ye Tong could only endure her teasing. Not to mention him; even his father would have to curry favor with anyone from the Old Tang Family. Who would dare to retaliate?
On the other hand, if Tang Hao'er wasn't from the Old Tang Family, who would dare to publicly embarrass Ye Tong like that?
As Ye Tong awkwardly chuckled and was about to say something to smooth things over, Tang Hao'er had already pulled her hand back and reached out directly toward Fang Jia Shen beside Ye Tong, cheerfully saying, "Hello."
Fang Jia Shen quickly took Tang Hao'er's small hand and said eagerly, "I'm Fang Jia Shen."
Since Ye Tong had already been teased, Fang Jia Shen naturally wouldn't be foolish enough to bring up who his father was just to make things awkward.
Tang Hao'er chuckled and withdrew her hand. "Fang Jia Shen, I've got you noted. Once we get to the island, you better not shoot at me."
Fang Jia Shen quickly raised his hand in assurance. "Even if I were to shoot myself, I would never dare to shoot at Miss Tang."
Tang Hao'er playfully patted Fang Jia Shen on the shoulder. "You're a good sport; I like having you as a friend."
Fang Jia Shen felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He smiled ingratiatingly. "Miss Tang, once we reach the island, I'll protect you. Anyone who dares to oppose you will have to deal with me."
Ye Tong shot a glare at Fang Jia Shen, annoyed. "Hey, why did you steal my line?"
Just as Ye Tong was about to cozy up to Tang Hao'er, she turned and walked over to Mr. Yang, who was sitting in the passenger seat, extending her hand toward him. "Hello, I'm Tang Hao'er. Please take care of me."
Mr. Yang, who had been fiddling with his iPad since getting in the car, stood up and shook Tang Hao'er's hand gently, offering a smile. "Yang Bing."
"That's cool! So, does the handsome guy have a boyfriend?" Tang Hao'er asked with a giggle as she looked at Yang Bing.
Yang Bing smiled slightly and showed Tang Hao'er the iPad he was holding. "This is my daughter; she's just eight months old."
Tang Hao'er stuck out her tongue and exaggeratedly exclaimed as she took the iPad from Yang Bing, "So cute! Babies are adorable! Too bad this little one caused me to get my heart broken."
Yang Bing couldn't help but laugh heartily.
Tang Hao'er cheerfully returned the iPad to Yang Bing and playfully said, "Handsome guy, look at me; I've been heartbroken! You can't shoot at me when we get to the island!"
Yang Bing chuckled and replied, "If it comes down to just the two of us in the end, can I just ask you for one chicken leg?"
Tang Hao'er laughed lightly and patted Yang Bing on the shoulder. "Enough, buddy. I've made friends with you too."
Yang Bing chuckled, realizing that establishing connections before Shangdao was part of Tang Hao'er's strategic plan.
Tang Hao'er continued to laugh as she walked down the aisle, greeting and shaking hands with everyone she passed.
Li Wei quietly nudged Zhao Jun and whispered, "Have you heard of Old Tang from the capital?"
Zhao Jun shook his head. "Never heard of him."
Li Wei shot Zhao Jun a disdainful look. "Have you been teaching so long that you've become clueless? You haven't even heard of Old Tang?"
Zhao Jun shrugged. Was it really that strange not to have heard of Old Tang?
Li Wei continued in a low voice, "If you haven't heard of Old Tang, then you must have heard of Tang Group in our city, right?"
"Of course! Tang Group is famous throughout Southeast Asia. How could I not have heard of it?"
Li Wei smiled and said quietly, "Not too dumb then. Our city's Tang Group is just a branch of the Tang family business, run by Old Tang's youngest son. This Tang Hao'er is the daughter of Old Tang's eldest son, Tang Tian. Let me tell you, Tang Hao'er is the apple of the Old Tang Family's eye. Buddy, this is your chance! If you can win her over, you'll instantly become a prince consort."
Zhao Jun glanced at Tang Hao'er, who was walking down the aisle greeting people. He smiled and replied, "Do you think being a prince consort is all that glamorous? The princess is the ruler, and the prince consort is a subject. When the prince consort meets the princess, he still has to bow as a subject would. Even wanting to sleep with her requires her consent. I don't want to be that kind of prince consort. If you're envious, why don't you go for it yourself?"
Li Wei chuckled softly and said, "I would love to, but unfortunately, she's best friends with Jiang Rui. I've seen plenty of photos of them together in Jiang Rui's space. But let's talk later; she's coming over now."
As he spoke, Li Wei stood up and cheerfully extended his hand toward the approaching Tang Hao'er.
Tang Hao'er's eyes lit up with surprise as she exclaimed, "You are Li Wei! I've seen your photo. Hmm, my little Rui Rui has good taste; you’ve passed my inspection!"
Li Wei smiled and shook hands with Tang Hao'er. "Thank you, Miss Tang, for letting me through. I often hear Jiang Rui mention you."
Tang Hao'er giggled and said, "Jiang Rui went to Europe. He must be feeling a bit down playing solo."
Taking the opportunity, Li Wei introduced Zhao Jun to Tang Hao'er. "That's right. I could only bring my buddy along to fill in. Let me introduce you two; this is my friend Zhao Jun, and this is Tang Hao'er."
Zhao Jun stood up and shook hands with Tang Hao'er, smiling slightly as he said, "Zhao Jun, elementary school teacher."
Tang Hao'er’s eyes sparkled as she held Zhao Jun's hand. "So you're Zhao Jun! Jiang Rui has mentioned you. She said you’re quite the fighter—once took on eight robbers by yourself and even saved Li Wei's life."
Zhao Jun chuckled in disbelief. "Don't listen to those tall tales; it was only three."
Tang Hao'er laughed heartily. "Three is still impressive! I heard those kidnappers were armed with knives. Zhao Jun, I have a favor to ask you."
Zhao Jun grinned. "Is it that Shangdao shouldn't shoot at you anymore?"
Tang Hao'er had already repeated that line countless times whenever she met someone new.
She playfully patted Zhao Jun on the shoulder. "How about you become my personal bodyguard from now on? If we manage to win a chicken dinner together, I might consider being your girlfriend."
Zhao Jun nearly choked at her words, coughing repeatedly.
Seeing his embarrassment, Tang Hao'er couldn't help but laugh. "So it's settled then! If we win a chicken dinner, you'll be my boyfriend for a trial period of one month."
Zhao Jun was taken aback. Did this boyfriend have a trial period? Trial? How does that work?
Shen Kun, who had been following Tang Hao'er, noticed that she had finished greeting the last person. He cheerfully interjected, "Miss Tang, why don't you find a seat? We're about to depart."
Tang Hao'er casually tossed her backpack onto an empty seat beside her. "This will do. Departing, Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner."
Shen Kun smiled and turned back to instruct the driver to head straight to the airport. Ye Tong, sitting behind the driver and keeping an eye on Tang Hao'er, noticed that she had chosen a seat close to Li Wei and Zhao Jun. Unable to help herself, she frowned slightly and shot a cold glance at Zhao Jun.
Everyone in the vehicle had heard Tang Hao'er jokingly say that she wanted Zhao Jun to be her personal bodyguard and boyfriend.
Although everyone knew Tang Hao'er was just joking, Zhao Jun had unwittingly become a potential threat. Those who were eyeing Tang Hao'er with intentions of claiming her had already marked this unknown Zhao Jun as a public enemy.
Zhao Jun had no idea he had become the enemy of the people. Beside him, Li Wei was getting cozy with Tang Hao'er, chatting animatedly about Jiang Rui. Zhao Jun couldn't join in and didn't want to participate in that topic, so he pulled out his phone from his pocket and started looking into stocks.
Zhao Jun had plenty of free time. Influenced by Teacher Chen from the office, he had also started dabbling in stocks. However, after two years, he found himself losing more than gaining. His capital had grown larger; over the past two years, he had gradually invested all his spare money into the stock market, increasing his initial investment from around twenty or thirty thousand to nearly two hundred thousand now.
Setting aside Zhao Jun's stock trading for the moment, the presence of the lively Tang Hao'er made the minibus much more vibrant. Amidst laughter and chatter, they soon arrived at the airport.
An hour later, the international flight carrying the 'Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner' tour group took off into the sky, officially embarking on their adventure.
