Yang Bing and Zhao Jun knocked on the cockpit door, which was opened by Shen Kun. Seeing Yang Bing and Zhao Jun standing outside, he stepped out with some surprise and asked, "Mr. Yang, Teacher Zhao, what can I do for you?" 0

Yang Bing didn't beat around the bush; he directly asked, "Shen Kun, we would like to know our current location and what our destination is." 0

"I see," Shen Kun said as he closed the cockpit door. With a smile, he looked at Yang Bing and Zhao Jun and continued, "Mr. Yang, Teacher Zhao, it's our oversight that has caused you some concern." 0

Yang Bing smiled but did not respond to Shen Kun, which clearly indicated that they were indeed worried. 0

Shen Kun chuckled and said, "Our destination is between the Mariana Islands, Midway Island, and the Marshall Islands. This island has not been named yet; our headquarters has applied to purchase this small island and named it Fortune Island. The chicken dinner event we are participating in is the first event planned by our headquarters. In the future, we will continue to hold this event regularly, striving to make 'Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner' an internationally renowned large-scale public participation event..." 0

Zhao Jun furrowed his brow and interrupted Shen Kun's lengthy explanation, asking, "Shen Kun, why did your company choose such a remote island for the event? Not to mention the transportation costs must be quite high." 0

Shen Kun was clearly prepared for this question. He smiled and replied, "Teacher Zhao, we chose Fortune Island as the event location mainly because it is situated at the crossroads of Asia, America, and Australia. This way, tourists from nearby countries have roughly equal distances to travel." 0

Lowering his voice slightly, Shen Kun added with a grin, "To be honest with you both, I believe the main reason headquarters chose this location is that Fortune Island is an asset owned by our headquarters. The facilities built on the island can be used permanently after a one-time investment, which helps save on operational costs. Hehe, please don’t tell anyone I said this; I'm just guessing. After all, each participant paid 180,000 yuan to join the event; we need to ensure they feel it's worth their money." 0

Yang Bing frowned slightly; it seemed that Shen Kun's words had no obvious flaws. However, the travel agency's grandiose actions and somewhat mysterious behavior made him feel uneasy. 0

Zhao Jun took out a map from his pocket and unfolded it against the wall of the cabin. He asked Shen Kun, "Shen Kun, could you point out the exact location of Fortune Island for us?" 0

Seeing Zhao Jun draw a circle around Seda Island on the map, Shen Kun's mouth twitched involuntarily as he looked at Zhao Jun and said with a smile, "Teacher Zhao is quite meticulous in his work." 0

Zhao Jun smiled but did not respond. 0

Shen Kun chuckled again and leaned closer to observe the map for a moment before pointing to a spot outside the circle and saying to Zhao Jun, "Fortune Island should be located here. Teacher Zhao can rest assured now, right?" 0

Upon seeing the location Shen Kun pointed out, Zhao Jun and Yang Bing exchanged glances and fell silent. 0

It appeared that Fortune Island was indeed a remote island not marked on the map; clearly, its area was not large. 0

The choice of such a secluded place for the event by the travel agency could not help but raise suspicions. However, Shen Kun's explanation seemed somewhat reasonable as well. 0

Shen Kun smiled and said to Yang Bing and Zhao Jun, "You two should go back and rest for a while. We still need about two hours to reach our destination. I need to contact the island to arrange your meals and accommodations." 0

Yang Bing furrowed his brow slightly, nodded gently, and patted Zhao Jun's arm before turning to walk back. 0

Shen Kun smiled, turned, and opened the cockpit door. He glanced back at Yang Bing and Zhao Jun with a slight smile before closing the door. 0

Returning to his seat, Li Wei grinned at Zhao Jun and asked, "Zhao Laoshi, are you feeling more settled this time? I told you, you're just bored out of your mind. We’re here for a survival event, so the more remote the location, the better." 0

Zhao Jun ignored Li Wei and turned to Yang Bing, saying, "Brother Yang, I still feel a bit uneasy." 0

Yang Bing chuckled lightly; he felt uneasy too. Just as Shen Kun walked back to the cockpit, he noticed the helicopter pilot's gaze seemed strange—almost mocking. The tattoo on the pilot's shoulder also made him feel uneasy. 0

This was a military transport helicopter, and Yang Bing could smell the scent of a soldier coming from the pilot. 0

In many countries abroad, there are no restrictions on soldiers having tattoos. However, as far as Yang Bing knew, it was rare for soldiers to have a tattoo of the Nazi symbol '卍' on their bodies. This represented a moral boundary issue and an extreme belief; after all, during World War II, the Nazi Party committed numerous crimes against humanity that were condemned worldwide. 0

Yet here was this helicopter pilot with a '卍' tattoo on his shoulder. 0

Yang Bing thought for a moment, gave a self-deprecating smile, and patted Zhao Jun's thigh beside him. "Maybe we're overthinking it. Let's just relax; after all, there's no turning back now even if we wanted to. By the way, Teacher Zhao, what subject do you teach at school?" 0

Zhao Jun chuckled helplessly; indeed, they had already flown this far—was it possible to turn the plane around? 0

Looking at Yang Bing, Zhao Jun replied, "I teach elementary geography and nature at Great Talent School. What about you, Brother Yang? What field are you in now?" 0

Having grown up in a Military Compound, Zhao Jun felt a natural closeness to Yang Bing due to his military background and casually referred to him as Brother Yang. 0

In fact, among those participating in this survival event, Yang Bing was one of the oldest. Most others were in their twenties; even Zhao Jun's friend Li Wei was only twenty-four this year. If they ranked by age, twenty-six-year-old Zhao Jun could easily take second place. 0

Yang Bing smiled and said, "After leaving the army, I worked at my unit for a while but found it uninteresting and resigned. Now I just dabble in stock trading." 0

Zhao Jun laughed and said, "So Brother Yang is into stocks too! I've been trading a bit myself. Do you have any good stock recommendations? I've lost quite a bit in the market these past couple of years." 0
"Investing in stocks is like losing eight times and winning once," Yang Bing said with a smile. "Choose a good stock for long-term investment. Don't focus too much on immediate gains and losses; a solid stock will always yield returns over time." 0

Zhao Jun nodded repeatedly, giving Yang Bing a thumbs-up and saying, "You're an old hand at this." 0

In the stock market, "old hand" is a term used by investors to refer to themselves. Just like leeks, which are resilient and keep growing back after being cut, investors feel they can never be completely wiped out. 0

Yang Bing chuckled lightly, seemingly uninterested in discussing stocks further. He shifted the topic and looked at Zhao Jun, asking, "Teacher Zhao, did you grow up in the Military Compound? Which unit were you with?" 0

Just as Zhao Jun was about to respond, Tang Hao'er cheerfully approached, unceremoniously dragging Zhao Jun's suitcase to sit across from them. She tilted her head up and asked Yang Bing, "Brother Yang, what were you two talking about with the travel agency earlier?" 0

Li Wei, who had been playing on his phone, quickly stood up to offer his seat to Tang Hao'er. 0

Tang Hao'er smiled and took Li Wei's spot without hesitation, sitting right next to Zhao Jun. 0

Li Wei perched himself on Zhao Jun's suitcase and discreetly tapped Zhao Jun with his toes, raising his eyebrows to suggest seizing the opportunity. 0

Zhao Jun kicked Li Wei back in annoyance. After all, Tang Hao'er was like a princess high above, while he was just an ordinary elementary school teacher. The two were from entirely different worlds; there was no way anything beyond friendship could develop between them. Li Wei was overthinking it. 0

Yang Bing gently patted Zhao Jun's thigh and looked at Tang Hao'er. "Miss Tang, it’s nothing much. We just went to ask Shen Kun about our current location and how much longer it will take to reach our destination." 0

Zhao Jun smiled and nodded at Tang Hao'er in agreement with Yang Bing's explanation. He understood that Yang Bing's earlier pat was a reminder not to voice any doubts he had, to avoid causing unnecessary panic. 0
