After the five of us returned to the fishing boat, Jenny hurried over and asked, "What happened? Did you find anything?" 0

I gasped for breath and replied, "We found a whole bunch of bones, and a coffin." 0

"A coffin? What... what is going on?" Jenny's expression showed disbelief. 0

I quickly said, "Let's get something to eat first! We can talk about this after we eat; I'm starving." 0

We all had a bite to eat, and then Mai Lao recounted to Jenny everything that had happened underwater. Of course, Li Xin was listening nearby. 0

"There was an uncorrupted female corpse in the coffin? What... what does that mean?" It was clear that Jenny was overwhelmed; she would never have thought of such things. Who could? 0

Li Xin suddenly chimed in, "You guys must have misseen it, right? After soaking at the bottom of the sea for so many years, it’s still not decayed? Come on, that’s ridiculous." 0

I shot her a look and said, "One person might missee it, but do you think all five of us did? Are we all blind? Or do you think our IQ isn’t enough?" I had long been annoyed with her; this girl strutted around like she knew everything when in reality, she was just a woman with long hair and short sight. 0

"Who knows if you all collectively lost your minds? I don’t believe what you’re saying. You’re always talking about ghosts and monsters, making everyone anxious," Li Xin said coldly, shooting me a glance. 0

That really pissed me off. I slammed my hand on the table, stood up, and shouted at Li Xin, "You’re full of crap! Who’s talking nonsense all day? If you don’t believe it, why don’t you go dive into the sea yourself? Don’t come here with your sarcastic remarks. While I’m down there risking my life in the ocean, where were you? Don’t think just because you’re Jenny’s bodyguard that no one dares to call you out. Let me tell you, stop acting tough in front of me." 0

I was genuinely furious. The deep sea felt like hell; so far, we had already lost one person. We were living down there like turtles every day, exhausted like dogs, and she still had the nerve to talk nonsense. If it were a man instead of her, I would have thrown him into the sea to feed the fish by now. 0

Li Xin's face turned red from my words as she glared at me with her sharp eyes. "You... you’re just spewing nonsense; I can’t even be bothered to talk to you." 0

"You think I want to talk to you? Stop being so full of yourself! If you don’t want to talk, then don’t! Who’s begging for your attention?" I continued to stand my ground against her this time; I wouldn’t give her any face—no woman would get away with it. 0

"Alright, alright, you two stop arguing already. Isn't it annoying? With so many things going on, do we really need this?" Jenny finally couldn't hold back any longer. 0

Li Xin snorted coldly and turned to leave the break room. I plopped down into a chair, still muttering under my breath, "Damn it, what the hell is this? We're busting our butts here, and she has the nerve to call us superstitious." 0

"Enough, enough! Let's get down to business!" Mai Lao waved his hand. "What does everyone think about this situation?" 0

We exchanged glances, and surprisingly, Shunzi was the first to speak up. "Mai Lao, to be honest, I find this really strange. I've never seen a corpse that doesn't decay; it's hard for me to accept. This has completely shattered my previous beliefs." Shunzi had always been a staunch materialist, never believing in any supernatural phenomena, but this incident in Underwater would likely haunt him for life. 0

Gangzi chimed in next. "I've never seen anything like it either. It's incredible! That woman looked like she was just sleeping; how could she possibly be dead?" 0

Mai Lao glanced at me and asked, "Loyalty and Righteousness, what do you think?" 0

After a moment of contemplation, I replied, "I don't know; I don't have much of an opinion. But I have to tell you something—back in Underwater, you might not have noticed, but I saw that female corpse open her eyes." As I spoke, the image replayed in my mind: a beautiful woman lying peacefully in the coffin, but when she opened her eyes, even the most beautiful face could turn terrifying. 0

Everyone fell silent after hearing my words. Jenny immediately asked, "What did you say? The corpse opened her eyes? You must have been too stressed and mistaken it for something else!" 0

I chuckled lightly and responded, "I wish I had made a mistake. Unfortunately, I know exactly what I saw. If you doubt me, there's nothing I can do about it." 0

Mai Lao nodded and scanned the group before saying, "Since this corpse can remain uncorrupted, it's possible that other things could happen as well. Do you think the deaths of those five divers are related to this woman in the coffin?" 0

"There's definitely a connection," Jiao Ba suddenly interjected, breaking our train of thought. 0

I suddenly recalled how animated Jiao Ba had been during our time in deep Underwater; he seemed almost frantic. "Lao Ba, when we were down there, you gestured for quite a while. Did you have something to say to us?" 0

Jiao Ba pulled out a cigarette and lit it. After taking a deep drag, he said, "No kidding! I was freaking out back then! I thought you guys were going to dig through that coffin! Thankfully you didn't do anything too reckless. That woman in the coffin is not someone we want to mess with; it's best if we don't get any ideas about her. Honestly! We should just abandon this wreck and find another one." Jiao Ba sounded somewhat disheartened. 0

"You make it sound so easy. We went through so much trouble to find the Wreck; how can we just give up? I don't care what the reason is, that Wreck must be salvaged," Jiao Ba's words made Jenny a bit angry. 0

Mai Lao nodded in agreement, saying, "Jenny is right. We've searched for so long and finally found the Wreck; we can't just abandon it. I don't think it's that ominous. Tomorrow, we'll go salvage it." 0

"Go ahead if you want! I'm not getting in the water this time; I don't want to die so soon." Jiao Bayi shook his head vigorously, clearly a bit scared. 0

I looked at him and asked, "Lao Ba, do you know something? The way you're talking makes it sound like we won't survive if we go underwater." 0

Jiao Ba shrugged and said, "I didn't say that! But it's pretty close. Although I don't know what that woman in the coffin is, one thing I can be sure of is that ordinary people definitely wouldn't..." 0

"That's obvious; even a fool can see that. How many people don't decay after death?" Before Jiao Ba could finish, Shunzi shot him a glare and interrupted. 0

Ignoring Shunzi's comment, Jiao Ba continued, "My grandfather said that there are generally two types of people whose bodies don't decay after death. One type relies on certain objects and a well-sealed underground environment with no air circulation to barely preserve the muscle decay, but that wouldn't have this effect." 0

"The second type involves sorcery. Our country has had many shamans since ancient times who use certain spells—what you might call dark arts—to keep a person's appearance unchanged after death. But how exactly they operate, I don't know; my grandfather never told me. Looking at that woman's skin color, it seems almost the same as when she was alive. It's likely due to sorcery. Plus, Brother Yi just mentioned that the woman opened her eyes earlier; I suspect this woman is..." 0

"What is she?" I stared at him and asked. 0

"Demon Worm Corpse." 0
