Upon hearing my shout, the Bearded Man's henchmen remained still. He walked a short distance towards me and asked, "Do you know where the Nautical Chart is?" 0

I replied calmly, "Yes, I know. I've always been the one to keep the Nautical Chart, so please stop making things difficult for Jenny." 0

As I spoke, I glanced at Jenny, who was looking back at me. I could see the resentment in her eyes; she didn't want me to reveal the location of the Nautical Chart. I subtly gestured with my left hand, signaling her to stay quiet and let me handle everything. 0

The Bearded Man immediately softened his tone. "Haha, good, very good! If you had said that earlier, we wouldn't have had so much trouble." 0

I smiled lightly and said, "I can give you the Nautical Chart, but I hope you keep your word and don't hurt anyone else." There was no other choice; I had to take a gamble. 0

"Alright, I promise you that as long as you do what I say, I won't harm anyone," the Bearded Man said earnestly. But no matter how I looked at him, he seemed like the kind of person who would go back on his word. However, there was no other option; otherwise, Jenny could really be in danger. Damn it, where is that man in black? Why hasn’t he shown up yet? 0

I looked at him and said, "Okay then, I'll go get the Nautical Chart for you." 0

I initially planned to use this opportunity to take down the Bearded Man, but before I could act, he quickly pressed his gun against my chest and said, "Wait a minute. Don't move. Tell Miss Ma to bring me the Nautical Chart. You just need to wait patiently here." 0

Despite his appearance as a fat pig resembling a bear, it turned out he had some intelligence! Although he might not have seen through my intentions, his vigilance was quite high. For safety's sake, I had no choice but to comply. 0

Soon after, Jenny was untied. In a casual tone, I said, "Go get the Nautical Chart! It's in the usual place." In truth, I had no idea where it was; I only said that to mislead them. 0

Jenny responded with a dull "Oh" and walked towards the cabin. Of course, two armed men followed her closely. My mind raced as I hoped for an opportunity to take down the Bearded Man. The key was to capture him first; once he was caught, everything would be easier. But the Bearded Man kept his distance from me. 0

After about ten minutes, Jenny indeed brought back the Nautical Chart and handed it directly to the Bearded Man. I took a quick glance; it was indeed that Sheepskin Nautical Map. Now I was even more curious about what secrets this Nautical Chart held. What could make this Bearded Man go to such lengths to obtain it? Was it merely to find the Ming Dynasty Shipwreck? It seemed unlikely! The man in black was proof of that. 0

The Bearded Man took the Nautical Chart and examined it closely as if he had found a treasure. He smiled greedily and said, "Hehehe! Finally got it! Just wonder if it's real or fake." 0

"Don't worry! It's definitely real." I stared at him, speaking each word clearly. Seeing his foolish face made me want to punch it flat. 0

The Bearded Man snorted, "Hmph, whether it's real or not isn't up to you, brother. Come and verify the goods for me." 0

I wasn't sure who he was talking to until a moment later when I realized he was referring to Gangzi, one of Mai Lao's crew members. He came from Heilongjiang and had even served in the military. We got along quite well because he was an excellent swimmer, which earned him the nickname Flying Fish. 0

Gangzi was usually friendly, always wearing a smile and chatting easily with everyone. We were relatively familiar with each other due to our similar backgrounds, but I never expected him to be associated with the Bearded Man. 0

Suddenly, it struck me—could the black-clad figure from that day have been him? The speed of that figure in the water was astonishing, and Gangzi's nickname, Flying Fish, also suggested swiftness. They shared that trait, but there was one key difference: the black-clad person was taller than Gangzi. Could he have been deliberately hunching over to conceal his true abilities? 0

I turned to look at Jiao Bayi beside me. He was also watching me, and from his expression, I could tell he suspected that this man was indeed the black-clad figure from that day. But if that were true, why would he leave a note telling me to keep the jade pendant safe? He could have easily killed me and taken it without warning; there would have been no need to advise me to protect it. My mind was filled with questions, and all I could do was wait and see. 0

As Gangzi passed by me, I noticed he still wore a smile, but it had shifted from friendly to cunning. I also caught Jenny's glare at him; she looked as if she wanted nothing more than to tear him apart. Li Xin remained icy as ever, but her murderous gaze betrayed her true feelings. 0

He shook hands warmly with the Bearded Man before glancing at the nautical chart and saying, "Big brother, that's right; it's this one." 0

"Are you sure?" the Bearded Man asked in response. 0

Gangzi smiled and replied, "Don't worry, big brother; there's no mistake—it's definitely this one." 0

The Bearded Man nodded in satisfaction. "Good. You've really worked hard these days." 0

Gangzi casually said, "Oh, it's nothing! Just what I should do. But big brother, we agreed that if we find this extraordinary treasure, you have to share some of it with me." 0

"Heh heh, that's only natural. Don't worry! You won't miss out on the benefits." The Bearded Man put away the Nautical Chart and patted Gangzi's arm. 0

"How despicable! We trusted you so much, yet you would betray us?" Jenny glared at Gangzi with a cold expression, her phoenix eyes filled with hostility. In truth, it wasn't just her; everyone on the ship felt the same way. Gangzi had disguised himself so well that even an actor of the highest caliber would have been impressed. Not a single one of us had noticed. 0

Gangzi strolled leisurely up to Jenny, casually rubbing his nose as he said, "Miss Jenny, could you please refrain from using such harsh words? In this day and age, who would willingly want to be short on money? Don't you agree?" 0

Jenny looked at him and suddenly remarked, "Heh, yes! But I'm afraid you won't live to see it." 0

"What... what do you mean..." Gangzi's words were cut short by the sound of a gunshot that echoed across the night sky over the sea. A splash of crimson appeared on his back. It was then I realized that Bearded Man had shot him from behind. Gangzi probably couldn't believe it; he wouldn't just lose the treasure but also his life in such a manner. 0

He slowly turned around to face Bearded Man, who stood before him with a gun in hand. Terror spread across Gangzi's face as he weakly extended his hand and said, "You... you actually..." 0

Bearded Man showed no expression. With a bang, he fired again. This time, Gangzi was truly finished. He collapsed onto the deck with a thud, blood slowly oozing from his body. A vibrant life had come to an abrupt end. 0

Yet I felt no sympathy for him; I believed he deserved to die. Even if Bearded Man hadn't killed him, I would have found a way to settle the score with him. However, after Gangzi's death, I suddenly realized something: he couldn't be the man in black. The skills of that person were far superior; they were exceptionally formidable. After all, how could someone so skilled be easily killed? Even if Bearded Man attempted a sneak attack, it wouldn't be so easy for him to die. 0

I glanced at Jiao Bayi, who wore a puzzled expression as well. I needed to find an opportunity to ask him about it. The prowess of that man in black was firmly etched in my mind, along with his feline-like eyes. But if Gangzi wasn't the man in black, then who could it be? I simply couldn't figure it out; my head was spinning from all the analysis. The situation was too complicated—chaotic, utterly chaotic. 0

"How could someone so ungrateful and disloyal possibly share the spoils with me? Don't you think I'm right, Miss Ma?" Bearded Man blew on the muzzle of his gun and looked at Jenny. 0

Jenny snorted coldly but did not respond. However, I noticed something: beads of sweat had begun to form on her forehead. It seemed she was somewhat frightened; Bearded Man's ability to kill without hesitation was indeed not simple at all. 0
