After Mai Lao finished his words, the eight of us jumped directly into the sea, heading towards the Underwater. Each of us held a light and a spear, with Mai Lao leading the way. Jiao Ba and I followed closely behind, while the other sailors trailed behind us. To conserve our energy, we descended at a noticeably slower pace than last time. 0

After about ten minutes, we finally reached the seabed. The deep sea was somewhat murky, with very low visibility; it was completely dark around us. The Underwater Light was not very effective either; even with all eight of us illuminating the area, we could only see a few meters ahead. 0

I still felt a bit uneasy. Every time I descended to the seabed at night, I would recall the scene of Heizi's poisoning, as if it were a reminder that danger was slowly approaching us. Yet, to unravel this mystery, I had no choice but to proceed, as if some kind of magic was drawing me forward. 0

To ensure safety, Mai Lao counted our numbers first. Once he confirmed that all the sailors were present, he felt reassured and continued to swim ahead. We arranged ourselves in a V formation and moved steadily forward, always cautious of everything happening around us to minimize danger. 0

The Underwater Light swept across our surroundings. To prevent attacks from sharks or other marine creatures, we had to ensure that no corner was left unlit. The last two sailors kept their lights directed backward while occasionally swimming in reverse to maintain pace; it was indeed tiring, but thankfully our slow speed allowed them to keep up. 0

I wondered if we would be able to find that dark sea area again. After all, the surrounding waters had turned black. However, since Mai Lao was leading us this time, I felt less anxious; this Old Man surely had his methods. 0

After swimming for a while, Mai Lao suddenly stopped. He gestured for all the Underwater Lights to be directed forward. We lined up in a row and shone our lights ahead. It was then that I understood why Mai Lao had halted; under the powerful illumination, I saw that eerie dark sea area. 0

Although the deep sea water had turned black, the water in the Dark Sea Area was distinctly different from its surroundings. With the light shining on it, I could clearly see that the blackness in this area was unique; during the day, it appeared darker than the surrounding waters, yet at night it seemed lighter. 0

Mai Lao truly was extraordinary; even without strong light before, he managed to locate this area. What exactly guided this Old Man? If it were me, I certainly wouldn’t have noticed anything amiss without strong illumination. If I survived this time, I would definitely have to ask him about it. 0

At that moment, Mai Lao glanced at me and I nodded in response. With a wave of his hand, we entered this dark sea area one by one. It was much like when we came here before; this area was as calm as a mirror with no disturbances whatsoever. I could hardly feel that we were at the seabed; the icy cold water pierced through me painfully, and its temperature was significantly lower than that of the outer waters. 0

The only difference was that at night, there was less resistance in the water compared to during the day. The water here was surprisingly clear instead of murky; although we were in darkness, after staying for a while and allowing my eyes to adjust to the environment, I could see what was around us. The only proof that we were underwater was the Breathing Apparatus bubbling away beside me. 0

I quickly marched to the front of everyone, gesturing with my hands, "Everyone must be extra careful; this place is dangerous." 0

Mai Lao also signaled to urge everyone, "Be aware of everything around you." 0

After giving the instructions, we continued our march forward. Since we entered the sea, we had all been particularly cautious, especially Jiao Ba and I, who remained in a heightened state of alertness. Every nerve in our bodies was tense; if we were playing with our lives, we had to be prepared for it. 0

Once we reached the seabed, my Spear was always ready to fire. As soon as I detected anything unusual, I would not hesitate to shoot. Despite Jiao Ba's usual carefree demeanor, at this critical moment, he was more attentive than anyone else—Shunzi couldn't compare. 0

Since entering this area of the sea, I had never felt at ease. I always sensed that somewhere in the darkness, a pair of blood-red eyes was watching our every move. There was also that terrifying shadow; I had no idea when that thing would appear. If it suddenly showed up, we would be in serious trouble. 0

I had been on edge throughout this journey. I didn't even know when I had become so timid; I found myself looking down on my own cowardice. Once a descendant of royalty and an elite soldier, now I had turned into someone so submissive. After experiencing so many bizarre events, anyone would feel fear. However, deep down, I knew that the more afraid I was, the more I wanted to uncover the truth behind it all. 0

Mai Lao continued leading us forward. After what felt like several minutes of swimming, we finally reached our destination. The wreck was much clearer at the seabed than last time; even without Underwater Light, we could still see it. 0

Not far ahead of us lay a massive wreck, peacefully resting on the ocean floor. The size of the ship was almost immediately apparent; it tilted slightly as if a person were lying on their side in deep sleep. Yet there was no sign of life—only a foreboding sense of death emanated from it, shrouded in an aura of terror and mystery. 0

The eerie wreck sent chills down my spine. Around it floated some white elongated creatures that resembled some form of marine plankton. I couldn't quite identify what they were; these beings drifted back and forth near the wreck—sometimes fast, sometimes slow—appearing both alive and lifeless. 0

A strong chill radiated from the wreck, crashing over us in waves. Although the water showed no signs of disturbance, I could distinctly feel an internal coldness washing over me. My body involuntarily shivered. I glanced at the others; aside from Mai Lao, they were all visibly trembling like me. This old man truly had a high tolerance for cold; I had never heard him complain about being cold before. 0

Jiao Ba nudged me and gestured dramatically, "I'm freezing to death; it's so cold!" 0

I nodded and gestured back to him, "Me too; we need to be extra careful." 0

We observed the Wreck from a distance for a while when Mai Lao turned around and gestured to us, saying, "Everyone split into two groups for exploration, and make sure to ensure safety." Then, fearing he might scare me, he pointed out, "You take one group and start exploring from the bow of the ship, while I start from the stern." 0

I nodded and called Jiao Ba and two other sailors to follow me. The two groups split perfectly in two directions; last time I explored the stern, and this time I was heading towards the bow. The four of us swam steadily toward the front of the ship. As we got closer to the Wreck, I suddenly noticed that the white Plankton floating around it were actually moving toward us… 0
