After I finished speaking, Li Xin glanced at me with disdain and said, "Hmph, what's wrong with not having any reefs? Could it be that something else collided with us?" 0

I stood up and replied, "Stop using that brain of yours with no intelligence to analyze what we're doing. Do you really think this wreck is so easy to hit? What a joke." 0

Li Xin was equally unyielding as she retorted, "Hah~~ don't act so smart. I think you're the one with the lowest IQ on this ship. The Ming Dynasty Shipwreck is all wooden; what could possibly not break it?" 0

I was too lazy to argue with her. This woman spoke nonsense that made no sense at all. What did wooden ships have to do with anything? Among all known animals, the blue whale is the largest, but blue whales are gentle creatures and never attack ships. 0

The gap in the wreck was just part of the upper section, over three meters wide, and there was still a portion buried in the mud below. If we considered the area above and below, it must be at least five meters high. How could such a large gap possibly be caused by a marine creature? 0

Even a Great White Shark wouldn't have that capability unless they encountered a legendary Sea Monster. But that seemed far-fetched; did Sea Monsters really exist in this world? It didn't seem realistic at all. 0

Just as I was about to counter her argument, I suddenly remembered something very important: the Unknown Creature in the Dark Sea Area—the shadow that killed Landmine. I had to admit, I still had no idea what it was. No matter its size or speed, I couldn't figure it out. Could it really be a Sea Monster? Such scenarios only existed in movies; how could they possibly happen in reality? 0

Yet the current situation forced me to doubt everything, especially that monstrous roar that scared away even the shark school. What kind of creature produced that sound? Earlier, while underwater, I heard a breath resembling that of a wild beast, coupled with those long white Plankton near the wreck. All of this had completely disrupted my original line of thought. 0

I reflected on everything that had happened before—the Coffin Corpse, the mysterious man in black, and the sudden disappearance of the Bearded Man's subordinates. None of these events seemed normal; there was no logic that fit within what we considered acceptable. 0

I looked at Li Xin and decided to retract what I was about to say. I had to admit she had a point; with so many unbelievable things happening, one more incident didn’t seem out of place. Perhaps there really was some kind of monster in these waters. 0

At that moment, Mai Lao stood up and said, "Alright, alright! How many times have I told you two not to argue every time you talk? We're all on the same side here. Let's keep it down. Loyalty and Righteousness! First, let everyone go back and change clothes and rest for a bit. Later you and Jiao Ba come over here." After finishing his words, the old man returned to the cabin. 0

I returned to the rest cabin with the other sailors, preparing to change into clean clothes. While changing, I suddenly asked Jiao Ba, "Lao Ba, do you know what those white creatures we encountered in the deep sea were?" 0

Before Jiao Ba could respond, another sailor quickly interjected, "Aside from the color, they looked a lot like seaweed or something similar." 0

Jiao Ba replied while putting on his clothes, "I'm not sure either; I've never seen them before and don't have any impression of them. Maybe we can ask Mike later." 0

Since even he didn't know, I could only turn to the old man for answers. After changing clothes, Jiao Ba, Shunzi, and I went to Jenny's rest cabin, where Mai Lao was already waiting for us. 0

Once we sat down, I was the first to speak up. "Mai Lao, do you remember those white plankton around the wreck when we were underwater?" 0

Mai Lao nodded and said, "Yes, I saw them. What's up?" 0

I briefly recounted our encounter underwater to him and then asked, "Was it the same for you and the others?" 0

Mai Lao inhaled sharply and frowned. "Well... not really. We passed through easily; those white creatures weren't as strange as you described." 0

Jiao Ba and I exchanged glances. "Then why did we experience that? Those things were clearly coming after us," Jiao Ba said with a hint of skepticism in his voice. 0

Mai Lao wasn't offended; he smiled and said, "Xiao Ba, don't rush. Let me finish. Didn't Loyalty and Righteousness say before that when you increase your speed while swimming, they gather around? But if you slow down, they won't. This just means they are some of the most basic plankton; it's the change in the surrounding environment that caused them to react. There's nothing to be alarmed about." 0

The old man's words made some sense. Indeed, changes in the environment can affect biological behavior. I glanced at Jiao Bayi; he shrugged his shoulders, seemingly uncertain about what to think. Shunzi remained silent; after all, he hadn't gone into the sea during the last two dives and had no idea what had happened. 0

For now, I had no choice but to accept this explanation since I had no evidence to refute him. "Alright then, let's assume these creatures are normal. According to you, Mai Lao, they shouldn't pose any danger?" 0

"According to theory, that's how it should be," Mai Lao said while sipping his tea. "But in practice, it's hard to say. After all, there are tens of thousands of species in the ocean, and no one can be absolutely certain." 0

I was left speechless by the Old Man's words; it was no different from saying nothing at all. I nodded helplessly, reluctantly accepting this idea. 0

"Today we've gone underwater three times and roughly assessed the damage to the Wreck. I suppose we've made some progress. Aside from that gap, there shouldn't be any other damage, right?" Mai Lao glanced at us as he spoke. 0

"As far as I can tell, there are no issues near the bow except for that gap. Have you all checked the stern and the interior of the ship?" I recalled clearly that our first dive was to locate the Wreck, the second was to measure its size, and the third was to assess its damage. However, this Wreck was simply too large; measuring its length in the middle would take some time. 0

"I've checked around the stern, and there are no problems there. Now we just need to check inside the ship. Let's let everyone rest well tonight, and tomorrow afternoon I'll take a team to survey the interior. Loyalty and Righteousness, you’ll be responsible for checking out the cabins," Mai Lao looked at me, seemingly seeking my opinion. 0

After thinking for a moment, I replied, "Mai Lao, I suggest we go out at night instead. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but that dark area of the sea is nearly impossible to see during the day without Underwater Light. However, at night it’s relatively clearer; we can even see the Wreck quite well." 0

"Brother Yi is right; I've noticed that too. The visibility in that dark area is indeed better at night than during the day. But why is that?" Jiao Ba scratched his head and turned to look at Mai Lao. 0

Mai Lao shook his head lightly and said, "I can't answer that either. Since visibility is higher at night than during the day, fine then; we'll follow Loyalty and Righteousness's suggestion and take action tomorrow night." 0
