Bai Qi used to be very particular about cleanliness, cleaning up every day.
Later, when he met Tu Ling, Tu Ling told him that if Bai Qi joined his Faction, they would have their own cave, and he would clean it every day. Bai Qi was tempted and decisively left the Matriarch to join Tu Ling's Faction.
At first, he enjoyed cleaning the cave, but then Tumi disappeared, the Faction fell into decline, and Tu Ling became despondent. Whenever Bai Qi started to clean, Tu Ling would fly into a rage, pinning him down and striking him. "Do you think I'm dirty? From now on, you are not allowed to do such disgusting things in my cave."
From that point on, not only was no male allowed to clean, but Tu Ling also deliberately made the cave messy and filthy.
Tu Ling awkwardly rubbed his nose, secretly lamenting that the real filthy one was himself.
"You Matriarch, I've had a change of heart and decided to let you clean the cave every day from now on," Tu Ling said without a hint of embarrassment.
Bai Qi looked touched, tears shimmering in his eyes. "Matriarch, you are so kind."
Soon, the water in the pot began to boil, bubbling over with steam, which startled Silver Trace into retreating repeatedly. "This looks like volcanic lava; it won't explode, will it?"
Seeing this scene, Tu Ling quickly stepped forward to reassure him, signaling that he needn't be afraid, then placed five already prepared fish directly into the pot to cook.
Once the roasted meat and fish soup were ready, with the Matriarch's consent, they could no longer hold back and began to devour their food ravenously. The food was soon polished off completely.
After finishing their meal, Tu Ling wanted to quickly tidy up the cave and threw away everything that needed to be discarded.
However, as they looked at the empty cave, they couldn't help but ask, "Matriarch, how are we going to sleep tonight?"
Tu Ling suddenly turned to Bai Qi and said, "Transform into a rabbit for me."
Bai Qi transformed into Beast Form, and then Tu Ling eagerly pressed against the rabbit, feeling how soft it was, just like Simmons.
This was Tu Ling's first night in Beast World, and she slept better than she had during the apocalypse, free from the threat of viruses and the pollution of the air.
Early the next morning, Tu Ling sensed a fierce gaze upon her, instantly waking up and assuming a defensive posture.
Upon closer inspection, she realized it was Silver Trace urging her to come along for a hunt. He explained that if the Matriarch didn't join them, their prey would be snatched away by others.
Tu Ling looked at Silver Trace with disdain; all those muscles seemed wasted if he couldn't outcompete anyone.
However, there were too many males from other Factions. Each Faction in the tribe had at least ten males, and whenever they went out, at least half of them would be present.
Without the Matriarch's protection, they couldn't safeguard their food.
Fine then. Tu Ling also wanted to explore the forest and see what this world was really like.
Three Adult Men surrounded Tu Ling from three sides as they moved forward along the stream at the cave's entrance, soon entering the woods.
Silver Trace placed Tu Ling on a tree before leading the other two to prepare for hunting.
They set their sights on a wild tiger searching for food. The three of them waited for the right moment to pounce.
Silver Trace bit down hard on the tiger's neck, while Purple Night leaped onto its back to pin it down. Bai Qi controlled the tiger's hind legs, knowing that getting kicked by such a creature would surely result in injury.
Tu Ling jumped down from the tree, puzzled. "Is this how you hunt? It took so long to catch just one. When will we gather ten cows to redeem Silver G.?"
As she spoke, Tu Ling took out two shovels from her space and instructed them to dig a two-meter-deep pit.
Once they finished digging, Tu Ling inserted sharpened bamboo stakes into the bottom of the pit, then laid a few fragile sticks across the surface and covered them with leaves for camouflage.
They set up three such traps, hanging small pieces of meat from the tiger above each one. After everything was ready, she placed a stone nearby to mark the location of the traps.
By the time they finished, it was almost dark. Silver Trace quietly started roasting meat.
Bai Qi scraped off the excess fat from the tiger skin and washed it clean in the nearby stream.
After dinner, everyone went to sleep, but Tu Ling couldn't fall asleep at all. She hadn't bathed since arriving, so she made her way to the stream.
Slowly stepping into the water, she scrubbed herself clean. Once done, Tu Ling hurriedly climbed back onto the shore, but her Hide Skirt was still wet and unwearable. So she walked directly into the cave without it, placing her Hide Skirt on a rock outside on the terrace to dry before crawling into the warm belly of the big white rabbit.
What she didn't know was that even while sleeping, the males remained very alert. When she went out to bathe, Three Beasts woke up and stealthily followed her, realizing she was going for a wash and taking up positions around her for protection.
Once she finished bathing, Three Beasts quickly slipped back into the cave and pretended to be asleep, though they were actually peeking with their eyes half-closed.
Thus, the three males fell asleep with a hint of frustration.
