In Dr. Douglas's illegal clinic, there is a strong smell of disinfectant in the air, along with a tense and uneasy atmosphere. Dr. Douglas paces back and forth around the operating table where Leo lies, his brow furrowed as he mutters lowly to himself, assessing Leo's injuries and planning the next course of treatment. 0

Sarah, Jim, and Emily stand in a corner of the operating room, anxiously watching Dr. Douglas and Leo on the operating table. They have full trust in the doctor's professionalism, but Leo's current condition still worries them. 0

Suddenly, Dr. Douglas seemed to have reached his limit of patience. He turned towards the three of them and said sternly, "Alright, that's enough! Get out quickly, I need to start the treatment. This guy is badly injured, and it's not the time for you bystanders to be here." His voice was both severe and urgent, clearly showing his deep concern for Leo's condition. 0

With his command, the atmosphere in the operating room became even more solemn. Sarah, Jim, and Emily exchanged a glance and silently walked out of the operating room, filled with worry about whether Leo would be able to safely overcome this ordeal. 0

Just as they stepped out of the operating room, an unexpected situation occurred - the transparent cover above the operating table suddenly activated, automatically sliding down to completely encase Douglas and Leo, creating a sealed therapeutic environment. The interior lights of the cover softened, indicating the beginning of a precise and tense treatment process. 0

This sudden action caused Sarah, Jim, and Emily to stop in their tracks, turning to look at the sealed cover, feeling an indescribable sense of unease - they knew that from this moment on, Leo's fate would be entirely in Douglas's hands. 0

Outside Douglas's illegal clinic, three people sat quietly in the waiting area, surrounded by an indescribable sense of oppression in the air. The environment here formed a stark contrast with the outside world, appearing particularly dark and dull. Jim boredly flipped through the books prepared for waiting guests, all of which were yellowed and worn, clearly neglected for a long time. 0

With each page turned, Jim's expression became more disdainful. Every magazine was outdated, its content long forgotten by time. Some of the adult magazines were even stuck together with an unknown sticky substance, creating a visual and tactile discomfort that made Jim extremely uneasy. 0

"Ugh, enough is enough!" Jim couldn't help but make a disgusted sound, clearly repulsed by the environment. He then casually threw the sticky books onto the floor, making a slight thud. 0

This small action didn't attract much attention, as in this place, such details no longer mattered. Sarah and Emily were also lost in their own thoughts, silently waiting for Leo's treatment results, filled with worry and anticipation. In this long wait, time seemed unusually slow, making every minute and second unbearable. 0

Outside Douglas's consulting room, a bored and anxious atmosphere enveloped the three people. Jim, attempting to break the dullness with light conversation, inadvertently brought up their previous visit, "Hey! Do you two remember the last time we were here?" His voice carried a hint of teasing and nostalgia. 0

However, Emily clearly showed disinterest in the topic, even appearing somewhat displeased. Her voice held obvious impatience, "Hey! Let's not talk about that right now!" Her anxiety and worry evidently made her irritable towards any off-topic conversation. 0

Jim seemed indifferent to Emily's reaction. He casually shrugged and responded, "Well, it's boring right now, so why not chat a bit?" He then nonchalantly propped up his legs, appearing quite at ease. Sarah tried to ease the tense atmosphere, scrolling through the touchscreen on her armguard and reluctantly joining the discussion, "But Emily, our last experience here wasn't great." Her voice carried a hint of reminiscence, but also revealed acceptance of the unpleasant experience. 0

Emily's reaction was more emotional. A hint of displeasure and even a touch of anger flashed across her face as she exclaimed, "Hey! Number six was blown to bits, it was a disaster! Do you think changing doctors can bring him back from the dead?" Her words were filled with helplessness towards fate and anger towards the situation, showing her deep sense of powerlessness. 0

At this moment, Jim interjected with his seemingly tireless sense of humor, his attitude appearing both frivolous and cutting, "Ha, but have you heard about the latest prosthetic technology? They can now directly implant brain-machine interfaces into the brain, and then you can use prosthetics like a robot. I bet our old friend Douglas knows nothing about this." His voice carried obvious sarcasm and mockery, seemingly seeking a release valve in this tense moment, but in a way that felt grating and even a bit annoying. 0

Sarah and Emily clearly didn't buy into Jim's words, showing displeasure on their faces, but Jim seemed unfazed, continuing with his almost provocative attitude, deepening the tense atmosphere of the conversation. 0

Jim's attitude seemed frivolous and not serious. He shook his head and spoke with a slightly mocking tone, "Oh, I really hope our little Second Lieutenant Leo can get through this difficulty. Otherwise... hey, he'll end up like number six soon!" After speaking, he chuckled to himself, seemingly quite pleased with his own humor. 0

This speech added a few more sharpness to the tense atmosphere. Sarah and Emily both felt displeased with Jim's inappropriate jokes, and they both rolled their eyes almost simultaneously, showing impatience with Jim's frivolous attitude. Although they both knew that Jim's personality was like this, at this moment, his words and actions were particularly grating. 0

Emily couldn't help but speak, her voice mixed with reproach and worry, "Jim, can you be more serious at this time? You've seen Leo's situation, this is not a time for jokes." Her words revealed genuine concern for Leo's safety and dissatisfaction with Jim's attitude at the moment. 0

Sarah took a deep breath, trying to keep herself calm, "We should all pray for Leo instead of making silly jokes here." Her words were like a reminder, instantly making the previously light atmosphere heavy. 0

Jim felt the displeasure from his two teammates. His smile faded a bit, but still carried a hint of helplessness as he said, "Alright, alright, I got it. Everyone is so serious, so I won't joke around." Despite his words, his eyes revealed a nonchalant attitude towards the current situation, as if nothing could make him completely let go of his innate arrogance. 0
