Lin Mingyuan looked at me, his gaze gentle.
"If you’re not willing to come home with me, then I’ll just move in next door."

I watched his figure disappear before turning back home.
As soon as I got home, I received a message from Tong Ming.
"Liu Qianqian, how dare you play me!"
I frowned, feeling a bit puzzled.
Trick him? What does that mean?
I opened the message box, ready to see what he really meant.
It turned out that Tong Ming's Family was scheming against my house because Tong Liang had gotten into trouble. Tong Liang had a child with a girl from the Old Li Family, and they were relentless, insisting that he take responsibility. The main issue was that the father of the Old Li Family was the village chief. Tong Ming's Family dared not defy them.
The Old Li Family demanded that they buy a wedding house for the couple in the city. But where would Tong Ming's Family get the money? They couldn’t come up with the funds and didn’t dare confront the Old Li Family, so they set their sights on me.
What they didn’t know was that I had no money at all. With no other options, Tong Ming resorted to desperate measures, imprisoning me and forcing me to transfer money to him.
I let out a cold laugh. Tong Ming was truly grasping at straws, utterly foolish.

Tong Ming’s face lit up with joy upon hearing this. I stared at him, my gaze icy.
“However, if I help you resolve your issue, you must help me resolve mine.”
"That money, after all, was borrowed by you, not me."
Tong Ming was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
I smiled lightly and said nothing.
That night, I sent a message to the casino, providing them with the address where Tong Ming's family was hiding.
They were concealed in a rundown neighborhood. There was no property management here; all sorts of people lived around, and it was chaotic. That’s why Tong Ming's family had chosen to hide there. But I never expected they were hiding right across from my own neighborhood. Truly, darkness lurks beneath the light.
The next morning, I heard a commotion downstairs. I deliberately put on makeup, donned a wig and mask, and changed into pajamas to ensure no one would recognize me before heading down.
"Where's Tong Ming? Tell him to come out!"
"We've been waiting for him for a long time!"
The speakers were from the casino. They looked rough and menacing, brandishing sticks that made it clear they were not to be trifled with.
Tong Ming's mother trembled in fear, kneeling on the ground and repeatedly bowing her head. "Brothers, we really don’t know where he went. Please, spare us!"
