"How is that possible?"
"I clearly heard that you were the one who went to find Tong Ming first."
I rubbed my forehead.
I understood now.
It must have been Tong Ming who misunderstood, thinking I was trying to get back together with him.

I lazily focused on my meal, but just as I took a couple of bites, Cao Yuan got up and left. She claimed the food here was too terrible for her to swallow.
Tong Ming quickly followed her out. I let out a sigh of relief. Finally, I wouldn’t have to listen to that woman chattering away anymore.
After finishing my meal, I planned to head back to the office for a little rest.
As soon as I stepped outside, I was stopped by Tong Ming.
“Liu Qianqian, tomorrow night, I’m going to attend Cao Yuan’s father’s sixtieth birthday.”
“What do you mean?”
“What are you trying to do?”
Tong Ming looked at me with a smug expression.
“What can I do?”

I trembled with anger.

Wait! Suddenly, a thought struck me. Since Tong Ming was now with Cao Yuan, why was he still looking for other women? Was he unable to stand Cao Yuan's looks? I raised an eyebrow, an idea forming in my mind.
I quickly dispatched someone to keep a close watch on Tong Ming. Sure enough, two days later, I received news. Tong Ming was involved with an intern.
Armed with evidence, I headed to the CEO's office. "Lin Mingyuan, take me to Cao Yuan's father's sixtieth birthday celebration."
Lin Mingyuan raised an eyebrow. "What's this? Are you finally ready to make your move?"
