Guo Li's parents were deep in thought, not rushing to deny anything. From this perspective, it was clear that they were quite rational. If there was any contemplation involved, it was evident that in their hearts, there was indeed a possibility of something happening. 0

After a moment, the woman spoke up, "I think there might be." 0

It seemed that Guo Li's mother was still honest and composed as she continued, "My daughter tends to have a strong temper at home. If something makes her unhappy, she will throw a tantrum, and even her father can't control her." 0

Guo Li's mother glanced at Guo Li's father, who looked helpless as he said, "Both of us are usually very busy and don't have much time to manage her. We’ve hired a few people to cook for her before, but she never accepted anyone. If someone is coming over, she definitely won't be home for lunch." 0

"So she’s always alone at home?" I asked. 0

"That's right," Guo Li's mother replied. "Neither of us can leave work for lunch, and we can't make it back in time to cook. Today, I even took a short leave to pick up the child. After quickly preparing a meal, I rushed back to work. Who would have thought that not long after that, my daughter would go missing?" 0

At that moment, the man furrowed his brow and said, "We just think it's possible she might do something like this, but we don't know if she really did anything at school. We haven't paid much attention to her lately, but we earn money so she can have a good life." 0

Just then, Guo Chen and Mary walked out. 0

Mary raised the notebook in her hand and looked at the two of them. "I bet you’ve never looked at what your daughter has written in her notebook." 0

Hearing Mary's words made me realize she must have found some clues. Judging by her serious expression, it seemed the situation was quite dire. 0

"What did you find?" I asked. 0

Mary replied, "We did see some shocking entries in the diary. If you could take a look at your child's diary sooner rather than later, I think you would discover many things about what your daughter has been doing." 0

With that, Mary sighed. 0

At this moment, the man spoke up again. "But my daughter is also an independent individual; how can we invade her privacy by reading her diary?" 0

I shook my head and said, "Now is not the time to get tangled up in this. The real issue is what exactly has been recorded above." 0

Mary sat down and looked at us, saying, "Of course, I haven't read all the diaries. They are filled with a lot of things, but from what I've seen, I found the phrase 'go die' dozens of times in the child's diary. This was directed at many people, including both of you." 0

"Both of us?" Guo Li's parents exclaimed in unison. 0

Mary nodded heavily and continued, "That's right. In the diary, your evaluations of each other are that you only care about her existence but not her upbringing. No matter what she does, you don't pay special attention to her—whether her grades are good or bad, whether she does good or bad things, you simply don't notice her." 0

"Over time, she stopped having any expectations from you. Learning becomes an especially painful experience. This feeling is true for adults as well as children. If you don't care about her academic performance, she'll just learn casually. But as a child in her early teens, if she doesn't study at school, she'll seek other forms of entertainment. And your daughter finds her entertainment in bullying others or mistreating them." 0

I interjected, "We actually knew this even before reading your daughter's diary. Your daughter formed a gang at school with three other boys, and this gang specializes in bullying others. You had no idea about any of this." 0

Mary continued from where I left off, "Your child may have inherited your good habits; she loves to write diaries and has quite a talent for it, documenting everything that happens. In school, Guo Li has done many things that seem terrifying even to an adult. Once you finish reading the diary, you'll understand how she mistreated a friend." 0

The couple frowned, looking incredulous. Guo Li's father said, "I know my child can be a bit mischievous, but I didn't think it was this serious. How could she do something so outrageous? Can you check again? This feels too strange." 0

Mary shook her head and replied, "Alright then, let me tell you how your daughter behaved..." 0

Then Mary slowly recounted a real incident involving Guo Li. 0

And all of this had been meticulously recorded by Guo Li herself. 0

If you were walking down the street and suddenly got attacked by a group of people for no reason, wouldn't you feel inexplicably wronged or wonder if you had upset someone? The first reaction when faced with an unexpected assault is to search for answers within yourself. 0

You would think about what you might have done to deserve it. 0

But if someone just decides to hit you without any warning, what can you do? 0

This is a game that Guo Li and her friends enjoy playing. 0

They would take a black plastic bag in their hands and crouch in a corner. When someone walked by, Guo Li would quickly cover that person's head with the bag, and her companions would rush in to knock the person down, followed by a flurry of punches and kicks. 0

When the struggling victim managed to pull the bag off their head, the others would have long since disappeared, leaving the person bewildered and unaware of who had attacked them. 0

Guo Li seemed quite clever; she never played this game in the same spot twice, as that would make it too easy for others to avoid them. It was like firing a shot and then moving to a different location. However, as time went on, this game escalated. Under the same stimuli, the satisfaction derived from it diminished more and more. 0

People must constantly seek new experiences to satisfy their ever-growing desires. 0

When they grew tired of this game, the next unsuspecting individual would face dire consequences. 0

As someone walked past Guo Li, she smiled. 0

Bullying a student with little presence in class was as easy as a hunter shooting a sparrow with a shotgun; it was far too simple and lacked challenge. Just as a hunter might aspire to capture a tiger or lion, Guo Li wanted to take on something more difficult. 0

This was the most thrilling thing in Guo Li's mind, and naturally, it was also the most thrilling thing for a girl named Li Jialu. I believe anyone involved in this incident would remember it for the rest of their lives. 0

Li Jialu was one of the top students in class. She was usually well-behaved and adorable, earning her teachers' affection. However, she had one bad habit: she liked to report on others. In the eyes of children, snitching was one of the most terrifying and detestable things in the world, and adults felt similarly. 0

Tragedy struck when she went to use the restroom. 0

A black plastic bag was suddenly pulled over her head, and two people pushed Li Jialu down to the ground. 0

Completely unaware of what was happening, she found herself kneeling in a disgusting restroom. Li Jialu could feel liquid flowing beneath her on the floor and smelled the foul odor surrounding her. Instinctively, she tried to scream for help, but someone had covered her mouth with the plastic bag, rendering her unable to call out. 0

She struggled to see who was before her, but it was futile; someone had restrained her hands. 0

The entire process was silent, like a marching army in formation. No one dared to speak, for once they did, their identities as classmates would be exposed, and with that exposure would come the intervention of adults. 0

Before they caught her, everyone only thought about teaching her a lesson. But once they had her, they all acted in unison, as if they had rehearsed this many times before. 0

They worked together, each playing their part. 0

If a lion were to lead a group of sheep, those sheep would become lions. But if a sheep were to lead a group of lions, those lions would turn into sheep. And when a demon became the leader of this group, those people truly transformed into demons themselves. 0

Then the demon pulled out a trash bin filled with used tissues from one of the pits. 0

Guo Li pinched her nose and walked over, pointing at two of her sisters, signaling them to dump the contents into a black plastic bag. Everyone understood what Guo Li intended to do; they felt both excited and terrified. This was the first time in their lives they were doing something like this. 0

They stared blankly at Guo Li, not moving. 0

Guo Li frowned. She said nothing but simply watched the two girls silently. 0

They felt fear creeping in because they understood that if they defied Guo Li, the next person kneeling there to be tormented could very well be themselves. 0

One tissue, two tissues. 0

They felt disgusted just touching them; how much more despair and suffocation must Li Jialu feel as used tissues were stuffed into the plastic bag covering her head? 0

One trash bin, two trash bins. 0

Li Jialu saw nothing; she knew nothing—like a lonely fishing boat lost in a dark sea. 0

She fell silent. The tissues and plastic bag made it hard for her to breathe; she could no longer struggle. 0

She lay on the cold, dirty ground. 0

Guo Li was the first to sense that something was wrong. With a wave of her hand, she led everyone to run away. 0

Meanwhile, Li Jialu remained lying on the ground. 0

Guo Li said, "No one knows it was us, but if others find out, someone among us must have gone out. If I find out who it is, their fate will be worse than hers." 0

A ten-year-old girl stood far away, fiercely threatening a group of younger boys. 0

Another ten-year-old girl lay alone on the bathroom floor, everything around her cold and pale. 0

She wore a school uniform that was already quite dirty and had not been washed by anyone. 0

Guo Li rubbed her hand against her uniform. 0

The cute outfit featuring Winnie the Pooh was stained. 0

But Li Jialu could no longer feel anything. 0
