Wu Zui led me outside. 0

As I pushed the door open, I followed Wu Zui out. Although we were of similar height and build, it was clear that Wu Zui had trained in combat techniques, making me no match for him. Even if I attempted a sneak attack from behind, I would still be unable to compete with him. 0

At that moment, I finally understood where we were. It appeared to be an underground shelter, likely a remnant from the past. The dim yellow lights flickered within the cave, and not far away stood a figure dressed in a tight black suit. Squinting my eyes for a better look, I realized it was Moriko. 0

Moriko wore a fitted outfit that was short and practical, with a dagger and a handgun strapped to her waist. 0

Upon seeing Wu Zui emerge, Moriko slowly nodded her head. 0

Wu Zui said, "I want my brother to see the entire process. He is very important; don't let him cause any trouble or die. If he tries to escape, breaking his legs is acceptable. Understood?" 0

"Understood," Moriko replied with a nod. 0

At that moment, anxiety surged within me. I knew that in just two hours, Wu Zui would orchestrate one of the largest terrorist incidents in Dongxing City in decades. Yet here I was, unable to convey this information to anyone. All I could do was follow Wu Zui and look for an opportunity. 0

What puzzled me even more was why Wu Zui insisted on bringing me along for this prison break. Was he overly confident, wanting me to witness his success firsthand? Or did he have another purpose for bringing me along? 0

Given Wu Zui's unpredictable nature, either possibility seemed plausible. After all, with someone like him, I wouldn't be particularly surprised by anything he did. Whatever Wu Zui intended to use me for, I could only take it one step at a time and respond as needed. 0

As we turned several corners, a beam of light shone in from a distance. 0

Ahead lay a staircase leading up. Climbing the stairs brought us from underground to ground level. The building above was not spacious; it was merely a single-story structure of about forty to fifty square meters. Inside, there were no furnishings—just a dozen people standing scattered around the room. Leaning against one wall was a bulging sack filled with who knows what. Beside it stood a small black suitcase. 0

When Wu Zui walked in, the relaxed group instinctively straightened up and faced him without uttering a word. Observing their faces, it was clear they were not accustomed to obedience; each had a fierce expression and intimidating demeanor. Yet before Wu Zui, they stood silent as statues. 0

It was evident that Wu Zui commanded great respect among them—or perhaps they feared him. The true terror of an individual does not stem from their physical strength or aggressive nature but rather from their unpredictability. The unknown is always the most frightening; you never know what they intend to do, why they kill, why they give you money, or even whether you will survive the next moment—that is raw fear. 0

Jesse stepped forward and said, "The first batch has already arrived; we can collect our things and leave at any time." 0

Wu Zui nodded, touching his mask as he said, "I won't say much more. I think you've all seen what's in that Sack beside you. It's filled with firearms. When I asked Jesse to call you here, I specifically mentioned it. Can anyone tell me what that means?" 0

With that, Wu Zui tilted his head and placed his hand near his ear, signaling everyone to speak up. 0

At that moment, an unassuming thin Tall Guy spoke up, "Isn't it just about using guns? Who here hasn't taken a few lives? Who can't use a gun? What are you planning, a bank robbery? With such a big setup, how can we not be concerned?" 0

Tall Guy's words received agreement from many, but there were also those who didn't care at all. 0

A one-eyed man chimed in, "What does it matter to you? Once I'm caught, it's a dead end for me anyway. How much are we talking about?" 0

Wu Zui shrugged and replied, "It's simple: a prison break. Jesse, where's the stuff?" 0

Jesse nodded and soon brought over a suitcase from beside the Sack. The suitcase didn't look very heavy; Jesse placed it on the table and opened it. A golden glow shot out, blinding the eyes of those present—it was a suitcase full of gold bars. 0

Wu Zui stepped forward and picked up a gold bar, casually playing with it as he continued, "Each of these bars weighs two pounds, and the markings have been melted off for you. The current black market price is two hundred per gram. Two pounds equals one kilogram, which is two hundred thousand. Before the operation, each person will receive one gold bar; if you survive and return, each will get five more." 0

Wu Zui tossed the gold bar into the one-eyed man's hands and added, "That means each of you stands to gain one million. I'm giving you this opportunity—equipping you and providing a comprehensive plan. With your own abilities, there's no way you'd be able to earn a million otherwise." 0

With that, Wu Zui looked at the crowd. 0

The group began to buzz with conversation as everyone chimed in with their thoughts on the pros and cons. 0

The thin man rolled his eyes and said, "A million for a life? Seems a bit overpriced." 0

Wu Zui nodded and sat on the table, looking at Tall Guy as he asked, "So what do you think your life is worth?" 0

Tall Guy glanced at the gold bars on the table and replied, "What? Aren't you going to throw in five more?" 0

"Fifty?" Wu Zui looked at Tall Guy. 0

“Fifty,” the Tall Guy said, licking his lips. “Let’s do Fifty.” 0

“Alright,” Wu Zui replied, scratching his head. “Jasmine.” 0

Jasmine nodded and walked straight up to the Tall Guy. 0

Jasmine was stunningly beautiful, with a curvaceous figure. The Tall Guy grinned lewdly, “Are you sending a woman over?” 0

But in the next moment, the Tall Guy could no longer speak. He clutched his neck, unable to utter a word as blood poured from the wound. In Moriko's hand was a bloodied dagger. She wiped the blade on the Tall Guy's body, cleaning off the blood before she sheathed the knife and walked back to Wu Zui without looking back. 0

It was only after Moriko returned that the Tall Guy finally succumbed to his injuries and collapsed to the ground. Moriko’s strike had been swift; even as he pressed on the wound, blood continued to spurt out. With his artery severed, he wouldn’t last more than two minutes. 0

The room fell silent; no one dared to speak. 0

Wu Zui stepped aside in disgust and said, “I brought you here to work, not to discuss things with me. The Sack beside you is filled with firearms; feel free to walk over, grab a gun, and shoot me or everyone here. The gold bars in this briefcase are worth at least five hundred thousand. Go ahead.” 0

No one spoke. 0

Wu Zui shrugged and pulled out his own gun from his waistband, handing it to one of them. The man chambered a round and pointed the gun at his own head. “Pull the trigger. You see there are bullets in there? Come on, pull the trigger.” 0

The man's hand trembled; perhaps he had killed countless people before as a Criminal, but facing this psychotic Wu Zui made him shake. He had no idea what Wu Zui might do next. Killing was routine for him, as normal as eating, yet now he hesitated—he couldn’t bring himself to shoot Wu Zui. 0

Wu Zui grew bored and put away the gun. “So now take your own gun and follow me. Don’t get out of the car when we arrive; someone will notify you when it’s time to act. Remember, if you can come back Alive, each of you will get five gold bars. Your lives are worth something; killing one person is just a robbery worth a few thousand dollars—one hundred thousand is enough for you to mess around for quite some time.” 0

“And besides, we’ll have more opportunities to cooperate in the future,” Wu Zui added. “Take what you need; you’ve all had enough of hiding out. Why not have a bloody party today?” 0

At that moment, I finally understood why Wu Zui could gather these Criminals together: their crimes always had a purpose—some sought revenge, others aimed for money—but none were as formidable as Wu Zui because his motivation was simply for fun. 0

When someone treats crime as a hobby, if they can’t become the leader of such people, who else could? 0

But I didn't quite understand. According to Wu Zui's character, everything should be meticulously arranged to ensure that his plans would go off without a hitch. Yet now, Wu Zui was leading what seemed to be a group of newly recruited individuals into action. This was simply too illogical. 0

I ran my hands through my hair, pondering what Wu Zui intended to do. 0

The only explanation I could come up with was that from the very beginning, Wu Zui had planned to abandon these people. Their sole purpose might be to hold off the prison guards or the police coming to rescue them, allowing Wu Zui to escape with Shi Huacheng amidst the chaos. 0

This was the only reasoning I could think of, but at that moment, everyone had already started moving outside. 0

"Wait!" I shouted. 0

Wu Zui glanced back at me and said, "Don't worry about him. Continue as planned. Moriko, keep an eye on him during the journey. Have Guan Zengbin and Gu Chen already left?" 0

Jesse nodded and replied, "Yes, we sent a few people to take them to the designated location just now. They should arrive in about an hour. It's time for us to move." 0

Wu Zui nodded in agreement. 0

Outside the house, several cars were parked. These vehicles varied in price, style, and even age, but all bore local Dongxing City plates. It was clear that Wu Zui would not overlook such details. A convoy like this would raise little suspicion on the streets. 0

Jesse, Jasmine, and I got into one of the cars. 0

Wu Zui leaned back in his seat and said without turning around, "Drive. Destination: Dongxing City Prison." 0
