Hearing his words made my heart sink. I truly couldn't understand why my father would treat me this way, even willing to ruin my reputation and future. Did he really dislike me that much?
My Aunt stepped in to defend me. "Brother, your niece has always been devoted to you and has fulfilled her duty as your daughter."
"She treats you so well, yet you repay her like this? You're breaking her heart!"
